  1. Hi! Yes. I recognize your Cruise Critic Name. πŸ˜ƒ I log into my American Airlines account. So, whatever airline you are on, log in, if you have an account and go to the flight/flights. If you don't have an account with the airline, create one and then add the Record Locator # you would have gotten when you booked your flight/flights. For American, it's under "Manage Trips". The flight, seats, names, Advantage #'s and contact information have shown ever since I booked but it was not Ticketed. It now shows Ticketed and I can control it now myself. For example, if I wanted to change seats, I can do that now, where as before I would have had to call Flights by Celebrity. I booked as soon as flights became available, mid December, so it showed Pending from then until today when it became Ticketed. 🍹
  2. Thankfully I have always been able to book what I want from the start and don't need to make changes but I prefer to see TICKETED. Plus, with problems others have had I've read having the flights Ticketed is better than not having them ticketed. Does it matter? I don't know but I just like seeing Ticketed now. πŸ˜ƒ 🍹
  3. Hi! If you have your flights booked through Flights by Celebrity and you have made Final Payment, you can call to get them 'TICKETED'. Perhaps there are instances they can't, but I was able to. I always waited until they would get ticketed on their own, about 21 days out, because I didn't know you could request it earlier. Thanks to reading on Cruise Critic that others have done it, led me to try. The agent said he would expedite ticket creation and it could take 48 hours. I checked my airline account and it took about 1 hour. I called Flights by Celebrity and got through right away. πŸ˜ƒ 🍹
  4. The Mixology Class. I took it on the Equinox. (October '21) It was held at the World Class Bar. There were maybe 12 of us. It was fun. There are threads if you search for it. I posted pictures of the drinks. I can post here, if you'd like. There were 4. The 4th was smoked zacapa so that wasn't 'made'. The other three were full size. All different glasses, techniques, tools and ingredients. They were drinks not on the World Class Bar menu. We could also go back the rest of the cruise and ask and they would make them for us. (Of course having the premium drink package to cover them) I have it booked on my upcoming Beyond cruise so it will be interesting to see what drinks and techniques are shown for that one. Different or the same? I believe they used to have you go behind the bar and make the drinks after they showed everything. For us, post covid shutdown, there were some things we each did hands on but we didn't go behind the bar or make the drinks. We had steps we would do during the process. It lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. There were two of the World Class Bartenders that ran it. I think the bartenders and their personalities definitely add to the experience. 🍹
  5. One person will have to pay for everyone or use their onboard credit for everyone. I wish you luck in getting everyone booked at the same time. I went through this a few weeks ago. There are 4 of us but it was a hassle, especially when I was told, through the Retreat #, that they could book everyone individually and then link the reservations. The problem was when one person got booked, then there wasn't availability for the next at the same time. I was on the phone over an hour with the lady trying to do it. I ended up just booking online, a party of 4, and using my OBC for one restaurant and then my dad's, in another cabin, for the other. 🍹
  6. I have Blue Chip bookings as well. The Pay Balance option used to be there and then it disappeared months ago. I called and was told they'd put in a request to IT. Still nothing weeks later. I called again, and nothing. About two weeks before final payment the Pay Balance option showed back up. We were able to enter all of the payment details but when we hit submit, it gave an error code. Four of us, two reservations...same thing. Had to call to make payment. Explained the situation and was told payments couldn't be made online. ?!? The balance due and due date always showed though. 🍹
  7. This chart only shows Unvaccinated 11 years and younger so this seems to be the chart with current rules, not the new rules as of August 22nd, 2022. I checked the website again and this chart is still there. It's under the June 3rd section. Above this chart on the website you can click for more information for Unvaccinated 12 years and older and it has the current rules, not the August 22nd effective rules. 🍹
  8. The OP, @mfs2k ,is talking about the first Beyond cruise out of the USA, in October. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ πŸ—½ 🍹
  9. Hi! I just received an e-mail for the next Power Points activity. A quiz about Australia for 1 Captain’s Club Point. The quiz has to be taken by August 22nd. 🍹
  10. Hi! Welcome to Celebrity! My answer is in bold after your question. 1. Does Celebrity (Specifically Summit) use cash for the casinos? Yes. Cash is used. I haven't sailed on the Summit, but other Celebrity ships and they take cash. 2. What's the dress code like for gala/formal nights? Similar to the other mainstream lines or more formal? I typically wear nice silk like pants and dressy blouse and nice flats, or a "going to church" dress (ie, not a cocktail or formal dress). Your attire will fit in just fine. Celebrity now calls their Formal Nights: Evening Chic. With the name change came a new description for attire which is basically designer jeans to ball gowns and anything in between. Whatever you consider Evening Chic. πŸ˜‰ 3. We have the Dining Anytime. Can we ask to be put at a table with others? Or will we always be seated as a table for two. From what others have reported, Yes. Since other people have first hand knowledge, I'll let someone else answer this with more detail for you. I travel with others so we sit together at our own table. 🍹
  11. I hope you can get it all worked out. I might just have to call Flights by Celebrity and get them to Ticket it since @Fly and Sail said it's sometimes possible earlier than the 21 day mark, since I've paid in full. 🍹
  12. That's good you are able to push for them to Ticket it for you. My experience is with American, as I said in an earlier post. I haven't had to do anything with my reservations so I've never pushed for them to be ticketed earlier. I've questioned it and have been told the 21 days. It's good to know you can try to push them if needed. 🍹
  13. You won't be able to change them on your own until it is ticketed which doesn't happen until about 21 days before flying. To change your seats, you will have to call Flights by Celebrity. This has been my experience every time. Not that I change my seats, but the control of the reservation and timeframe. 🍹
  14. Iconic Suite: $7,000+ Penthouse Suite: $2,000+ Edge Villa: $3,000+ Royal Suite: $2,000+ Celebrity Suite: $1,500+ Aqua Sky Suite: $400+ 🍹
  15. I book American Airlines through Flights by Celebrity. I have my seats picked out prior to calling to book along with the exact flight(s) I want. I check prices on American and Flights by Celebrity and have the seat map pulled up on American. Once booked, during the same phone call I choose our seats. When I hang up I log into my American Airlines account to make sure the flight shows and/or add the Record Locator to link it to my account. I make sure the seats for everyone are listed and are correct. I have had a couple instances that the seats don't show/all show so I call right back and have them do it again, and of course check. πŸ˜‰ The flights show up in my American Airlines account but they usually don't become ticketed until about 21 days out even though I have paid in full. 🍹
  16. Imagine those picture windows opening and being called balconies? 🀭 🍹
  17. My experience: on the Equinox (S-class) we were able to order the MDR in Blu. I had always heard mixed things. Some said yes, some said no. The first night we asked, and our waiter said yes, we could order from the MDR Menu. Every night, same table and servers, they would bring us the Blu menu and the MDR Menu when seated. The waiter would go over items from each menu each night that he recommended. Service was not slow, quicker then the MDR but not rushed, and Blu was full. We were happy we were able to order from both, if we needed to. We had a great experience. 🍹
  18. They make it look like an office building. I do always think when driving up to the ship on embarkation day, the ship looks like a building because of the size and then it's hard to believe we are about to set sail on that 'moving building'. πŸ˜‰ (My first cruise, I was so excited when I first spotted the ship and then amazed when pulling up. I still get that same feeling every cruise, like it's my first cruise!) πŸ₯³ ...but this design, really makes it look like an office building. I don't think the look is bad but what they are, I do not like. People love them. People hate them. People, like myself, who haven't experienced one, don't like them. πŸ˜… The 'flat' sides remind me of the older cruise ships before they had balconies. Of course, they didn't have this almost solid glass look, but that flatness since they didn't have balconies. I 'stalked' videos and pictures when the Beyond first came out to find the cabins I'll be in during the upcoming cruise. However, I do that for every ship I'm on. πŸ˜‰ 🍹
  19. Hi! I sail out of the USA in a few months, not out of Rome. I haven't kept up with cases in Rome/Europe. What has crossed my mind is since the Beyond will be coming over on it's Transatlantic, would that have an impact on cases. ??? I have no idea. I guess one 'comforting' fact is my family I'm traveling with just had it. I was around them, definitely exposed, and did not get it. My boyfriend, the same for him, didn't get it. So, those of us traveling together will have recently had it or exposed for sure but didn't get it. Perhaps we will all continue to have immunity/evade it??? You may be in the same scenario since you recently had it. ??? I admit I am a bit more concerned now then I was this time last year preparing for my first post shutdown cruise. That cruise, contact tracing had me concerned. This Beyond cruise, I will be aware like I am in every day life and hope and pray we don't get it and/or get contact traced. πŸ˜‰ I hope you and your family are fully recovered! Enjoy your Beyond cruise! πŸ˜ƒ 🍹
  20. I would look at one if I could see it, just for curiosity, but I wouldn't want to book it. If I never cruised before or wasn't used to balconies I may be more open to trying one. I can see the advantage if the climate you're sailing isn't conducive to utilizing the balcony or people who never use their balcony. I've stayed in hotel rooms that are full glass at the end. It seems like that to me, just the ability to open it for air. I sail with other people so we get our balcony dividers opened up. I enjoy the balcony. I am out there even when it's hot. I agree with you though, if it's insanely hot, I am not out as often, but still go out. I love to go out at nighttime too. People do like them. Celebrity for some reason likes the idea. It's interesting...if they are so great, why don't the suites have them? πŸ˜‰ 🍹
  21. I started cruising in a backwards way...suites, larger ones on Royal Caribbean. We eventually switched to Celebrity and had a few cabins of family and friends and not everyone wanted to book suites. I like to have us all in line with one another but the biggest thing was a separate restaurant. Sure, the suite guests didn't have to dine in Luminae but there definitely seemed like there would be instances it would be a pain to have suite guests and non-suite guests. Well, I gave in and booked concierge cabins... I felt I needed something 'extra'. Let me tell you, I spent so much time researching videos and cabin specs and square footage and measurements. I honestly thought I wasn't going to be able to handle it. πŸ˜… Well, it turns out I was ok. It took some getting used to but I was fine. So much so that I continued to book Concierge cabins and then the most recent we went to AquaClass and then said, AquaClass for now on. However, I am booked on the Beyond and I do not like the idea of the infinite veranda at all. Personal opinion. I know I haven't experienced it and people love them but I love a true, real balcony so we booked suites. I think the Retreat experience is a big draw on e-class as well. I have a feeling that going back to suites is going to ruin me again. πŸ˜… I fly first class and can't fly coach anymore. I've been ruined with that for years. I say I need it for the luggage allowance. That is true but I like everything else that comes with it. πŸ˜‰ Whatever anyone is happy choosing for their cruise is up to them. We all like different things, have certain preferences and are happy with many things. It's important to enjoy vacation, however we each see fit. That's what's nice about having multiple choices when we are planning. 🍹
  22. I completely agree with you! I have everything lined up and figured out, I just need an agent to book it. I found it so frustrating when I did book with an outside agency that I couldn't call and do certain things myself since the agency 'owned' the booking. 🍹
  23. I must be a rule breaker since I change out of my skirts for dinner back into shorts. πŸ˜‰ All of my travel companions change after dinner. We dress up for dinner but then go back to our cabins and are more casual afterwards. Our shorts are tailored for the girls and golf style for the guys. We don't look like we are about to work out or anything. Often I will keep the same dressier top on but pair it with shorts. I have read that before (no shorts or flip flops during the evening) but honestly it has never crossed my mind that I am not in compliance and I must stay dressed up during the evening hours. I know many do, and that’s fine. I have always changed and will continue to. πŸ˜‰ 🍹
  24. I have done both, booked direct and with a travel agent. My current bookings are direct because I was able to get much better rates through Blue Chip. Even when I use a travel agent, there are things I need to call Celebrity myself with. Celebrity allows direct booking so they should be able to handle the call volumes within adequate times. Something as simple as being able to make an online payment should be available at all times, that right there causes way too many unneeded calls. 🍹
  25. I had to call last night and waited 2 hours. 2 hours. I've waited a long time before but 2 hours has been the longest. Ridiculous. I have to make final payment and the website shows an error (everyone in my party has tried on different devices) so we have to call in to make the payments. That right there are tons of calls that don't need to be going into the call center for something that should be able to be taken care of online. My advice, be prepared to wait but hope for the best. πŸ˜… 🍹
