That all sounds really lovely and so great that you make all those goodies for Christmas. I’m afraid that I don’t bother these days now it is just me and the dog - altho he will get a yummy sausage on 25th Dec and I might even have one too!

I’m still here! The weather has been atrocious this morning and it was a very wet walk with Freddie this morning, although he doesn’t seem to mind the rain. He was in 7th heaven when he found something lovely to roll in (on his back with all four legs up in the air). For those who don’t realise - Freddie is my dog!!!

Do exactly the same thing when first entering the cabin and sanitise all surfaces plus telephone, remote control and door handles with Dettol Wipes.

Looks a lovely lunch Josy - but I must admit I cannot see the attraction of mushy peas (well any peas actually) so would personally prefer beanz and a large glass of red wine (jam shed!) 🤣🍷

I agree with what you say for your circumstances and that men and women should now receive their pensions at the same age. But many women now in their 60s we’re not given 30+ years to plan for their retirement being 6 or 7 years later than expected and many were not notified.

Appalling weather all evening and all night here in Dorset. Very very windy and heavy rain. Just dreadful. At least the dog slept as no fireworks about.

Many years ago (early 90s) on the old Victoria the afternoon bingo was great fun. The then cruise director (Ian Fraser) ran it at around 4.30pm and it was an absolute comedy routine from start to finish. I seem to recall the pot was rolled over if not claimed and then the jackpot was won on the last sea day (I’m not sure if P&O took any profit, but I somehow doubt it). There were always “looks” if someone won it if they’d not played previously 🤣🤣🤣 it was not digital and the balls were pulled out of a bag! I wouldn’t play it now, but I loved it back then (and never won).

Really sorry to hear about your situation. You would have thought P&O would have the compassion to let you transfer the money to a future cruise. But sadly, I’m not surprised they don’t. I hope things get sorted.

I had a new WB boiler a few weeks ago. I cannot believe how much quieter it is and I’m hoping more economic. The old Glo-Worm that was here when I moved in was only 8 years old when it completely died!

I use this - it is a very useful page. We had a bad storm about an hour ago - thunder, lightning and extremely heavy rain…. On the plus side this weather means no fireworks!!

We had thunderstorms and torrential rain between 5am and 9pm but now have blue skies and sunshine! Poor Freddie hates the thunder and that came on top of blasted fireworks last night…..😡
