  1. Pack a sufficient amount of things in your carry on that you cannot do without and arrive a few days early in case your bags need to catch up with you. That's really all you can do. Even if you have an AirTag in your bag, you may know where it was last located but in reality it's not going to be much help.
  2. Ehh good luck with that approach. TA's don't service Flights by Celebrity issues. There are no 'final cruise documents' when it comes to airfare and nothing that would alert a TA that a FBC ticket is not ticketed. It can take months and months for ticketing to take place. That steps (paying for the ticket) falls squarely on FBC. Most people would have no idea that unless their status says ticketed/confirmed/etc that it means they truly don't have an actual ticket. It makes no difference who they called first. FBC messed up and needs to fix it. In my experience they would rather argue and place blame rather than accept responsibility or fix issues. That's why they need circumvented in this case. I don't know which Exec level FBC rolls up to, but whoever it is, really needs to get a grip on how atrocious their service is.
  3. It varies quite a bit on S class versus E class and who your attendant is. You typically will have two during the day. They don't really adhere to the drinks listed on any menus. You can have pretty much whatever you want including bottles of champagne if you ask. The menu says 4 liter bottles of Evian, but if you have a drink package you can have whatever you want. Some of the other inclusions they list like Evian spritz and things like that, I have never seen on either class. I feel like the lunch menu is slightly different on S vs E class as well. We have rented them several times and feel like service is definitely more attentive on E class since you aren't stuck out on the lawn in no mans land.
  4. That's due to the bank contacting the creditor and getting them to correct the issue on their own. They have no obligation to do it. The Quality of Goods and Service clause is where the purchase has to be made in your home state or within 100 miles of your primary address but it just kicks back to whatever is allowable under state law.
  5. The CEO email address gets tossed around for routine custom service issues far too often, but in this case it is warranted. Flights by Celebrity is a disaster to deal with. However - the credit card company isn't going to help you. The second $2500 was a legitimate purchase. To dispute a charge you have to file the dispute within 60 days of the transaction posting and you cannot have paid any portion of the amount in question. This would eliminate your initial cruise/flight purchase from even being considered.
  6. That response is not correct at all. It's not nearly that complicated. All guests in the room receive the suite perks. *Guests who book The Retreat® on or after November 17, 2020 will receive the Indulge Package at no additional charge. Excludes guests who book The Retreat with Simply Sail, special fares, or a MoveUp upgrade from a non-suite stateroom. The Indulge Package provides a Premium Beverage Package, an Unlimited Stream Wi-Fi Package, gratuities (“tips”) included, and an onboard credit (“OBC”) for all guests in the stateroom. OBC amount varies by length of sailing. With Indulge going away this needs reworded but everyone gets a drink package, premium WIFi, grats and OBC.
  7. Tests are very easy to find in Rome. Google, ask your hotel, almost any pharmacy, healthcare clinic or pharmacy with a white tent setup out front will offer inexpensive tests. Almost all of them offer the certificate in English or ask if you need it in English or Italian. You can also take the easy way and take an at-home test with you and do it from the hotel.
  8. The asterik pertains to Local Luxury (resident rates) not All Included fares.
  9. You weren’t able to add on Elevate or Indulge since they were their own rates rather than add on features like a drink package. You had to reprice at prevailing rates to get it.
  10. It’s also complicated by Celebrity selling a lot of group rates through TA’s. If booking direct sometimes the small price increase was worthwhile but compared to a group rate you almost always come out ahead by paying for upgraded drinks/WiFi out of pocket and taking the lower group rate + TA OBC.
  11. All Included is not going away. Indulge and Elevate are since so few booked with those rates. I posted about this a few weeks ago and was told by a few of the peanut gallery I was wrong, but…..
  12. Directly from the website today: All vaccinated guests may go ashore on their own in ports where it's permitted. Please be aware that as destination conditions change, you may be required to go ashore on a shore excursion provided by Celebrity Cruises. This will help to keep you safe and healthy for the rest of your vacation. Unvaccinated guests and families with unvaccinated children may only go ashore on a shore excursion provided by Celebrity Cruises. Shore excursion guidance is listed below. We will continue to monitor and update as any changes to local requirements occur. Excursions provided by Celebrity Cruises are required in: Bridgetown, Barbados Castries, St. Lucia In St Lucia and Barbados, fully vaccinated guests may also choose to visit the enclosed port area to enjoy the shops and in that area can also purchase an approved independent tour provided by the local government. Please note that these tours are unaffiliated with Celebrity.
  13. September can still be quite warm depending on where you are. Solarium typically gets busy by 10-11am. 95% of the people there will have made up cots out of towels and may look like they have....'expired'....but they are just napping. The other 5% will be found shouting at each other trying to hold conversations in the hot tub.
  14. There is always background music in the Solarium. It's not that loud. The pool music is usually detailed in the daily schedule. A little more lively DJ with pop/rock in the afternoon and winds down with a singer/guitar duo or something similar later in the afternoon. Mid-afternoon on a sea day it is loud at the main pool.
  15. Your credits haven’t been issued yet if you’re trying to use the old number and it’s not working. I’m not sure how you translated that into Celebrity pocketing the $5k. If you have another cruise in mind have the TA work with Celebrity to move the credit to that booking. It usually is completed fairly fast. If you’re never cruising with them again I would look to your insurance to recoup what you can since a FCC would be useless.
  16. You can upload your own photo if you do it online. I think the app makes you take a photo. You can just complete the rest of check-in within the app then go back to the computer to upload your own. It takes no time at all.
  17. You were explicitly told by Celebrity you were getting nothing back? Or you haven’t seen the FCC show up yet? Did you go through the proper steps to notify them you had COVID or were you a no show?
  18. They have only used females for the past several years.
  19. Since distillers have to sell to distributors on a state by state basis, just because you can get it locally, does not mean Celebrity's distributors can or will provide it to Celebrity. If they can't get it, they can't get it. I suspect the distributors greatly pulled back or elminiated their supply of premium liquors and wines during the shutdown since Celebrity didn't need it and haven't adjusted since. Then it flows the opposite direction upstream. The distributor doesn't need the product so the distiller pulls back the supply.
  20. It sounds like the booking has already been made. Did you actually go through the Group sales department or did everyone book independently? There are people assigned to assist with actual group bookings who you should have already worked with. If everyone booked independently you will not get the same service. You can try to call 800-963-0311 but it sounds like they may not be able to offer much at this point.
  21. Sounds gross in theory, but where is there more exposure? When someone grabs a single piece of bacon with their fingers or when hundreds of people use the same tongs to grab a piece of bacon? The whole served buffet concept really didn’t do much in the way of COVID prevention. Noro? Maybe. If anything it keeps people standing next to each other in line longer than they normally would have.
  22. The itineraries are a bit unique. The only October cruises on Beyond are the last 9 night France/Italy/Spain cruise, the TA, then the 9 night New Jersey/Bermuda/Aruba/Curacao itinerary which has always been expensive. But to answer the question, yes, people are willing to pay for it. Whether it's worth it to someone else and their circumstances is up for debate but ultimately it doesn't really matter.
  23. $13.3k for a Deluxe for seven nights? No way. You had to be looking at the 14 night itinerary. In my mind my number would be about $4k all in for two for 7 nights in YC. Which is probably an unrealistic number at this point. If you think "the IT" and the customer service is bad on Celebrity, just try MSC. It's laughable it's so poor. And that's ignoring the fact that the ships are decorated with finishes that look like were pulled from a 70's Vegas casino.
  24. You won't notice a difference until you jump from non-suite to suite and start missing the little things. But those are things you may miss, not anyone else. No one in Luminae will laugh at you for entering the MDR (or maybe they will?) Careful. You may start a fight calling Viking high end.
