Book with a TA under a group rate.

You can’t. If you modify your reservation after a Move Up offer is accepted, Celebrity cancels your upgrade.

Forward facing angled balcony: S-class vs NCL
Jeremiah1212 replied to fstuff1's topic in Celebrity Cruises
There is no substantial difference other than the S class balconies are generally larger. -
Their country, their rules. I doubt you’ll find an explanation anywhere.

How long will Celebrity require Pre-Cruise Testing?
Jeremiah1212 replied to stevenr597's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Those cruise lines aren’t foregoing tests at ports that require it. Once they can stop, they will. It’s not the cruise lines making the decision at this point. They’ve made it clear they do not want to require testing but it’s not always their decision to make. -

Yet all cruise lines are requiring tests where Greece is involved. I guess complain to Greece that their website is insufficient? Not sure what to tell you other than make sure you have a test arranged. -

Viking point blank gives the reason. Greece rules. If you can find it or not is really irrelevant. We are on RF the same day and in accordance with the rules, we will plan on testing in Rome. As of today, you have no choice if you want to go on the cruise so there should be no confusion. You need to test. Right?! Does it make sense? Not really. Did Celebrity throw darts to figure out which oddball country they could impose some weird rules just for fun? Don't think so. -
There is no simple answer. It depends on the airline, the ticket status and the type of ticket purchased.

I'm sure the cruise lines are having more reliable communication than an avid Google user. Here's what Viking says: https://www.vikingcruises.com/oceans/why-viking/health-and-safety/health-and-safety-faq.html 1. Proof of negative COVID-19 test (laboratory-certified) NOTE: - PCR test taken within 72 hours before embarkation, or - Antigen test taken within 48 hours before embarkation. - Note: If you are on a pre-extension, you will be provided with the necessary tests to meet Greece’s testing requirement for cruise travelers before you board the ship. The port authority in Greece requires pre-embarkation test results for travelers boarding a cruise ship, in accordance with EU cruise ship travel guidelines. The country of Greece does not list these requirements on their official travel site (listed below), as the pre-embarkation test requirement is separate from any requirements for entry to the country of Greece. Without proof of a laboratory-certified negative COVID-19 test, you may be unable to embark the ship and begin your journey. For additional information regarding Greece’s entry requirements, visit: https://travel.gov.gr -

There are still Caribbean ports that are requiring testing and/or they are still in process of clarifying the requirements. Greece is requiring this, not Celebrity. Celebrity has to follow the rules, however illogical they are, until they get the all clear from the port country. -

As of right now there are no changes for your sail date. Supervised testing is required. -

At some point in the past you selected 11:30. By going back in you are editing the check in and it’s asking to pick a new arrival time but now 11:30 isn’t available. Just leave it alone and you will keep your time. If you select a different time at this point your 11:30 spot is gone. Check-in time is green because it’s already complete.
-
You had previously selected an 11:30 arrival time. Now the earliest available is 12:30. Don't mess with it at this point. The Wellness Check section changed to "Health Status" this morning where you attest if you are vaccinated, had a booster or are pregnant.

What you are seeing is 100% normal. Any email from Celebrity with the subject "Your Celebrity Cruises Reservation Summary for Reservation #:12345678" will have that verbiage at the end. I have an email box full of them and I have never booked a military/fire/police rate. The discount you are seeing is because there is no second passenger or single supplement on your sailing.

There are about 32,000 other threads to debate COVID...... Sticking to the topic, my guess would be something mirroring NCL's policy. I can't imagine going in with full on zero restrictions from the get-go. Maybe in a month or two? Sure. But I would be surprised.

There are "special" TA calls today and tomorrow. The topic has not be released yet. New promo with a slightly larger discount also starts on Friday the 13th.
