  1. Highly highly unlikely. Book an aft S1 if you want aft views + Retreat.
  2. It's tied to the folio number that you can find on the seapass. You enter the folio number when creating your WiFi access account.
  3. Quarantine is not part of your initial trip cost charged to your card and is not covered. If Celebrity were to reimburse for missed cruise days due to quarantine, that also would not be covered since there was no monetary loss. A lot of people seem to overestimate what some of these premium credit card benefits actually cover. The Chase site outlines actual coverage terms quite well.
  4. You should still get a refund or FCC Denial of Embarkation or Reboarding; Quarantine and/or Disembarkation If you, your family members, members of your Traveling Party or other close contacts are denied embarkation or reboarding, or quarantined or disembarked during the voyage, due to a positive COVID-19 test or being suspected of having COVID-19, you and they are entitled to a refund, or an optional FCC, for the cruise fare paid to Celebrity in the event of denial at embarkation, or a pro-rated refund or pro-rated FCC for the unused portion of your cruise fare in all other cases.
  5. Some of Royal's updated protocols are effective as of 8/8 through 8/14. For those cruising from the US after 8/14, they are advised to wait for updated guidance. Because of that, people are assuming there are additional changes coming by 8/14.
  6. The point was so they could advertise a low bare bones rate to compete with other cruise lines offering a similar striped down rate, then upsell on the value in All Included. The vast majority of new bookings are still AI. Aqua guests and obviously Retreat guests are not nearly as price sensitive and will pay more for the extras from the beginning.
  7. The shift to the 8/6 split on Equinox seems to be related to the amount of 5 and less night Caribbean cruises during the fall timeframe. There are a lot of short cruises scheduled. Adding Equinox back in with additional 5 day cruises as a result of doing a 9/5 day split would result in really high number of short sailings.
  8. Most Celebrity shore excursions are very short IMO. Less time for large groups to delay the ship. This one is very easy to DIY. If you can get a small group of 6-8 together a boat charter is worth it. I think we paid roughly $150/pp for a 6 hour charter. The company offer several pickup locations and we made our own itinerary based on their suggestions.
  9. It's been 2 days for a long time. But.... Celebrity has not announced these changes yet. Celebrity guidelines do not always match Royal Caribbean. Port guidelines still supersede anything else.
  10. I've seen some of your posts regarding this problem and IMO their response is completely unacceptable. I would not hesitate to send the CEO email address a concise email and ask that someone fixes this today. Normally that approach is overblown but to tell someone to just go to the airport and call an emergency number is ridiculous. I handled a similar situation a few weeks ago and had to go this route to get it fixed and it was done within a few hours. In this case FBC insisted that a simple $8,000 payment to pay for different flights was a workable solution.
  11. That's a really unfortunate choice of flights. Ultimately you will have ~7 hours to burn. Google Maps will give you all sorts of hotel options. I would get some sleep and head to the ship around noon. Unless you sit in the airport for 7-8 hours you are going to have nothing to do.
  12. Going on nearly 5 years now........................... You can also look at the upcoming MSC World Europa and Viking Octantis for the same discussion since they have the exact same setup if you need more debate.
  13. They aren't interested in increasing the average age that much. They need repeat clients who have a lot of cruising years left.
  14. I think you soon you will start to see more a push towards Silversea for that experience. RGC wants people move up the ladder, so to speak, and the Celebrity > Silversea move seems to be missing the mark.
  15. Not all S class ships have them. If they do, you can book them in the Dining section of the cruise planner.
  16. January? I wouldn't even begin thinking about this until December. Simple solution is do an online test on your last day or early morning in port. There are also 6 months for the rules to change.
  17. They have said before that their typical <18yr old population is something like 8% at most. We also rarely cruise during summer months and never during spring break or winter holidays and sometimes see maybe 10 kids onboard. I think the current approach that keeps kid friendly and family friendly attractions at a minimum works well to keep the product adult oriented without having to go officially kid free.
  18. If you’re in an upper suite just let the Retreat Host or concierge schedule it. You won’t have issues with times. They way you’ve done it will not credit back automatically.
  19. Emails can go out as early as 75 days from the sail date, depending on bookings and capacity. Our next cruise on Reflection from Rome has quite a bit of available capacity in CC and higher rooms. I received the email at 75 days. Prices are high. I would expect upgrades to start being awarded soon.
  20. Several reasons why, but it should be cleared up on the TA side in pretty short time. Unless it's something odd like the itinerary or ship changing, just book it via Celebrity and transfer it to the TA. Just make sure you do the transfer within 30 days.
  21. Just an error on the deck plans. There is a staircase there but it is for crew access.
  22. That is per person. Rolls are $9-$12ish. Sides and shashimi are mostly under $10. If you're used to ordering a boat, probably not, but for a light-ish meal it's plenty. The little beef sliders are delicious.
  23. You get a $35 credit towards the bill.
  24. In addition to New York, Missouri and Minnesota also have different parameters. Are you a resident of any of those three states?
