  1. Take a look at Beyond then look at the Icon of the Seas announcement this morning (I would suggest doing so before coffee or your anxiety may go through the roof). The direction and vibe of each line is striving for is pretty apparent.
  2. I wouldn't worry about it. The only time I've ever seen RCG pull back bookings was on Royal Caribbean where a few crusies were accidentally priced at pennies on the dollar a few years ago. This was pretty clearly an error but people still paid at least $5k for a Sky Suite and there are still a lot of them available.
  3. Of course you don't have to, but I've always found they appreciate the heads up or even when you chat on day 1 if you tell them roughly what your normal looks like. Early risers, sleep in, etc. If you see them in the hallway and give a quick wave on your way to breakfast, the gym, whereever, I almost always come back to a made up cabin. There are other variables that are not known. Is half the crew in COVID isolation? Did they disembark a bunch before the TA (which is pretty common)? Could be a number of struggles.
  4. Celebrity doesn’t handle drink packages at all like Royal does. Either book with All Included or buy a package for maybe a tiny discount. Definitely won’t see any 50% off deals.
  5. It’s pretty clear that this one and the 12/24/23 departure were pricing errors rather than the normal fluctuation.
  6. You can have a minors in a cabin by themselves as long as the parents are next door or in a room directly opposite the kid's cabin, like if they parents had a balcony and the kid was in an interior across the hall. In this case you could book the kid Cruise Only and parents All Included since it can be done as two unique reservations.
  7. They had the Ketel One Cucumber Mint on Reflection last month for a day or two before they were gone. One sip and into the trashcan it went.
  8. Normally I would say they would never leave T25 unused, but I bet this is the issue with parking, etc. Don't you already have to shuttle to parking garages from T29? Never driven to port but I know I've read complaints about it before. Very little difference if the lines are moving quickly. You just skip the eye rolls and sighs from the oh so pleasant agents.
  9. It’s a great price for a seven day cruise to nowhere 🤣
  10. You can't combine All Included and Simply Sale rates within the same cabin. They would need to play with it a little bit to see what makes most sense.
  11. We departed from T29 on Reflection in April. There was a suite entrance that led you to an area they had roped and draped off with some drinks and pastries along with some seating. We were in that area checking in for less than 5 minutes so we didn't even need to sit.
  12. First one to gripe when half the crew has COVID and they have to partake in the draconian measure of ‘fetching’ drinks themselves or stand in line at the MDR gets their CC points reset to zero 🥇
  13. You don’t have to upload anything. As of right now the test you would need since you are on a 10+ day cruise doesn’t even need to be supervised. Take an at home antigen test today and if it’s negative, you really don’t have anything to worry about or need a certificate of recovery.
  14. She took no break at all. She was onboard Edge well before COVID hit in March 2020 and stayed on with crew until March 2021. She was then back onboard by May 2021 for the June 2021 restart then had a few months off. Then she was on Beyond since January 2022 until a few weeks ago in early October. She’s either secretly exhausted or an absolute workaholic. Maybe both! Definitely no 3 months on 3 off for her since at least 2019.
  15. I doubt the complexity of creating a system to remedy a problem that doesn’t often exist is worthwhile. If doing so resulted in less overall traffic in speciality dining, you can bet that idea would get squashed instantly.
  16. They let your husband stay in the same cabin or he had to move? It’s a bit mind blowing they allow a symptomatic person sharing a cabin with someone who tested positive to go around the ship masksless for several days. We had COVID after a cruise in September but didn’t start feeling bad until we were home. It would have been miserable to feel so bad away from home. Hopefully you have a quick rebound.
  17. I would hope not. Inexperienced cruisers, young children and babies all go through the regular lines on every single cruise. Allowing it to turn into NCL where one person tosses grandma in a wheelchair so the other 30 people in the group t-shirt can board first would not go over very well.
  18. You need to call to process it. They just need some basic information to get it started. The FAQ says you had to request a transfer by May 2022 for a cruise with a 2022 sail date, but I know for certain it's been done way more recently than that.
  19. Not at all likely, at least in terms of being the launch captain. She would have been onboard a few months before delivery, which of course took place right in the midst of COVID blowing up.
  20. I don't know that, but the US naming ceremony for Beyond, press cruise, etc. are from Friday Nov 4th to Tuesday Nov 8th. I can't imagine she would not be there for at least some of those events.
  21. Keep in mind, most people come online to write a review when they have an axe to grind...so to speak. They range from mundane issue that I wouldn't give a second thought to truly bizarre complains. Don't read the Facebook groups. Just don't. Both ships will be perfectly fine. Will they be as new and fresh as Edge class? No, but I would not have any concerns with either ship.
  22. Do whatever you have to do. Some people don't care. Some do. 🙈 I'm nearly four weeks out since testing positive after getting off Reflection. It was not a minor cold. I'm in my late 30's, in far better shape than most, and I'm still not back to 100%.
  23. You need to call to upgrade but you only pay the difference between the two packages. I get emails asking to call 844-418-6824. Anything you purchase pre-cruise has to be paid for at the time of purchase or by using OBC if you have any available before the cruise.
  24. Mid-November has been the date floated for the last few weeks but it always seems to shift a few days right at the last minute.
  25. The reality is people will simply not listen to 'reminders' or gentle instruction. There are really no COVID precautions at this point and that is partially due to passengers wanting it that way. It is what it is.
