It certainly does take time. Even with a herd of staff at check-in for the cruise, it still takes hours. Yes, more is checked, but still hours with a lot more staff.

AARP is still focused on retired persons. I doubt they will be advocating for more crayons in kindergarten. I certainly don't mind if others want to subsidize their efforts on my behalf.
I believe bottle waters and specialty coffees are also included.
Personally, I think it is worth it for me not to have to over analyze. Or worry if I exceed my quota for the day. I'm on vacation (even though retired).
I'm not surprised there is a drop in demand to Florida. The decline in prices, even for leisure, is temporary. Book this fall if you want a deal or forget it.
