  1. Perhaps. It's got to be a drag sailing an empty ship to a port with a decent airport. The also are using New Orleans.
  2. THIS and the many others who sail Carnival for the same reason are why Carnival needs to eliminate free rooms.
  3. The safety drill and flamin tomato soup are back to name just two.
  4. By a healthy percentage. Probably would have been higher except for being held back by Royal and NCL.
  5. Yes, let's be clear - I often book CCL casino offers and have never been refused. I don't book the $100 offers (so far).
  6. I'm not sure Spirit is returning to Mobile. The Spirit repo to Alaska is from Tampa.
  7. Put it on a room service tray on the floor. Problem solved. Depending on the size of the machine, put it behind the headboard. A box of tissues can fit there Or get a rechargeable travel model.
  8. Or don't cruise on Carnival to begin with. If at all.
  9. I don't cruise for shareholder OBC or free cabins or VIFP perks or any of that nonsense. All of that could disappear, and it could be argued that it should. I cruise because I enjoy the simple pleasure of cruising and am happy to pay for it.
  10. Doubtful. There will always be the entitled.
  11. Individuals are a minority stakeholder, so no, they don't.
  12. It can, and does, include any rate a specific Carnival brand chooses. The benefit is corporate. Who gets is determined on a cruise line basis. Life isn't fair. Oh well..
  13. Carnival doesn't owe any explanation nor any clarification. If anyone doesn't like it, well...
  14. Why do you think they don't? What would be fair is if everyone were eligible for the same casino rates. Then the gamblers might have a legitimate complaint.
  15. As long as you don't have a poor attitude before the cruise, go ahead and cruise. It will be great. If you think you will have a bad time, it will be a self-fulfilling prophesy.
  16. They should be refused with $100pp offer. The very audacity to even try to get shareholder OBC on those cruises. I get emails on $100 cruises almost daily but am not interested in the cruises or cabins offered. The offers I use are typically a slightly reduced fare and drinks in the casino. I do have some with a $750 OBC but I haven't applied for those, yet.
  17. That wasn't a choice. The choice is cruise or don't cruise.
  18. After Covid struck, ships aren't always allowed to resupply in any port. Last month I was on a Celebrity cruise and they had to estimate how much they needed for the 14 day cruise and load it all before the ship left. Yes, they ran out of some things.
  19. I have yet to be turned down, so that clearly is not true in all cases. 🙂
  20. Bring an old flip phone and ask them to show you how to see the menu.
  21. RCL earnings will be out in about a month. We'll see. I dumped my RCL stock a long time ago. Royal may have changed the rules, but there are still complaints you can't combine it with any casino offer and more. With Carnival Corp, the benefit is available on all the the Carnival brands but AFAIK, Royal shareholder OBC still doesn't apply to Silversea.
  22. The ships themselves are substantially larger than the other ships in the fleet.
  23. John Heald sometimes has a Blue Card and I'm certain it is not his first cruise. Many people lose in the casino and never get offers. When cruising restarted, gamblers were targeted because it was a way to jump start onboard spend which was needed since occupancy was so low. That is no longer the case.
  24. Spirit is only seasonal in Mobile. The first 1/2 of 2024 are out, then Spirit does Alaska cruises.
