  1. @Quartzsite Cruiser @kazu @AncientWanderer thankyou so much for the kind and supportive words, I appreciate them!
  2. Hello and thanks all. Sorry to hear all the turmoil and loss. @kochleffel so sorry for the loss of your beloved cat @dfish wishing you good luck tomorrow @cruising sister so sorry to hear of the loss of your son! Sending gentle hugs as you remember his birthday. Hope the healing begins as your cast is removed. @mamaofamigood luck on your cataract surgery! @Vict0riannhope you can make the best decision for your health and we’ll being @marshhawk I am just so sorry to hear of this new spot. I hope you can still go on the cruise, but perhaps check if you have any credit card insurance or with the cruise line to see what your options are or if you can perhaps move the cruise. Your health is most important. @JazzyVhope theshots help your kneew @Cruising-along so nice there is some good news! Mine also reversed and retreated to osteopenia, as did my friends today! So enough calcium and proper exercise definitely helps. Life can certainly turn on a dime, I too had not great news on my last tests and now need a biopsy. deja vu, and this too jeopardizes a trip that we have use it or lose it flights to Europe.
  3. Sad but understandable about this beach. We visited years ago, just four of us and it was wonderful. The colour is gorgeous. The view at the top was also phenomenal but safety is paramount. We enjoyed this lovely island for a few weeks.
  4. We found Japan very easy on our own as well. Have you visited Uji? We really enjoyed this beautiful temple that is on the ten yen coin and the wonderful green tea from there.
  5. Thanks so much, really enjoying this blog, and the safari photos!
  6. Our province is still reeling from the loss of these two young officers, one was taken to the hospital where his pregnant wife was working. So tragic and the shooter was only 16.
  7. Just popping in quickly as off to an appointment. Kyoto is one of our favourite places on this globe.
  8. We really enjoyed Utah as well, we had just heard about the resort from a server at a resort in Hawaii who had worked there previously So it was quite a surprise to see this beautiful resort on tv the next evening. I agree, it is always the people that make things special. Our best travel experiences have resulted from these interactions.
  9. Will happily follow along, we loved our trip to Japan and our circumnavigation before the pandemic. Don’t envy you those flights, we flew Business class from Vancouver and it was about 11 hours, which was a very pleasant flight. Make sure to enjoy the lounge on return, ANA had a sushi chef and a ramen bar. I’m sure JAL will be comparable. We too stayed in Shinjuku area, where our hotel had an amazing top floor view of Fuji San. So keep your eyes open. Enjoy!
  10. Good morning and thanks all! Feeling sad as two young police officers were killed early this morning going to a domestic call in our province. @dfishsorry you are fighting so many battles, don’t know how they can withdraw and approval after you’ve had the scan, but it seems insurance companies try to get out of whatever they can. I’m grateful we have medicare. @cruising sisternice wheels! I have always loved Pandas, spent a lot of time years ago at the London Zoo watching them, and we’ve been fortunate to host them twice in our city. Unfortunately they had to return early because of the pandemic; it made the bamboo hard to get.
  11. Book a trip with Nautilus, you will visit some lovely spots to swim by boat, and have a great onboard BBQ. best excursion we’ve ever done.
  12. I love San Sebastián and the tapas bars, but the museum in Bilbao is wonderful and I think most kids would enjoy a quick visit. I’ve included photos of some of the art we saw, it is anything but stuffy.
  13. We had a wonderful trip to Noto and also visited Ortygia and Syracuse with Guiseppe Leotta with Luxury Car services, Taxi Catania NCC. I highly recommend Noto, it is So beautiful. We also stopped at a winery near there that grows Nero d’ Avila.
  14. A good question, when I had preordered it and they didn’t have it onboard in Fort Lauderdale they got it from off another HAL ship when we were in Half moon Cay.
  15. Good morning and thanks all! @StLouisCruisers thanks for stepping up! Congratulations to Ren and hope your nose isn’t too sore today. Glad you have good news! In recovery mode today, have enjoyed the Taittinger in the past, and a delicious Rose Piper Heidseick last night with some lobster. DS brought a beautiful bouquet that I’ll share, can’t wait to see pussy willows in the wild.
  16. Just don’t count on it being there. It took two days to get some we had preordered and that was leaving from FLL.
  17. Good morning! Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes, they are appreciated! Happy birthday to my birthday twins @StLouisCruisers DB and @Mr. BostonDM. Loving the butterfly photos
  18. Good morning and thanks all! Enjoying all the Dunedin photos, thanks everyone! Hope to visit some day! Still love jewels and I have three granddaughters…. Happy birthday Pauline! A very busy month, our granddaughter’s was yesterday, mine’s tomorrow. @RMLincolnsorry to hear it is Covid, hope you get well soon and the medical issues resolve. @dfish great news!
  19. Good morning, or it should still be, lol! And thanks all! I don’t like the changing either, thanks @kochleffel for the information, that is what I’ve read as well. We were given a chance to vote on staying on permanent daylight savings time or to continue changing. But the best option staying on permanent standard time wasn’t given as an option so for now we’re stuck changing. Happy birthday Lenda and Mitzi! @Quartzsite Cruiser and @Overhead Fred It sounds like some good new yesterday so I will celebrate those who are improving for and pray for those who need them. I too have found some interesting information on my family, I confirmed what my grandmother always told me that I am related to a very famous clown, and was fortunate to visit his Villa on the Italian Riviera @RedneckBobplease be gentle with me. And DH found an unfortunately distant member of his family bought the Earl of Grey’s little place.
  20. Good morning and thanks all! Add me to those who highly recommend BritBox, looking forward to Vera tonight! I am so sorry for your loss, cousins are precious. i am so sorry to hear you are ill, hoping it’s not Covid and that there is no impact to the upcoming surgery. If it is perhaps explore Paxlovid? Oh Gerry, that must have been so frightening, I remember hearing the bullet trains weren’t running. And In Japan, that just doesn’t happen! What beautiful flowers, what a great friend! I am hoping I didn’t inadvertently start a leak club
  21. Good morning and thanks all! My father who had no middle name chose mine and it is very special to me, even if I rarely see that time of day. In Genealogy it is helpful when some families incorporate ancestral names. I spent a lot of time in the British telephones calling home when we travelled over seas, often accompanied by spiders, nice to hear many have been turned into little libraries. We are awaiting the blizzard, thankful the plumber came and our main floor bathroom is functional again! And the laundry! @cruising sister I am so sorry for your loss! Cancer is so nasty, we lost a friend who had melanoma in her sinuses that was very aggressive. @JazzyV thanks so much for the lists! @dfish interesting meal! Thanks for the info! The jury’s still out for me on the Amazon, so interesting discussion.
  22. Good morning and thanks all! I still have my original Barbie, and the beautiful hand made Egyptian brocade evening gowns my mother made her. @RedneckBob at least it wasn’t an outlaw😉 @Vict0riannsending good wishes for a successful surgery for your DH. I post photos from my I pad, I can go to the photo library from CC and post them from there. Much easier than putting on my desktop. Hope that helps a little. @dfish hope you get good news! I am jealous of those doing yard work, sort of, we’re still getting even more snow tomorrow!
