  1. I think I'll just bring 3 bottles between our two rooms. That way if they are adamant about taking one, we'll get it back the last evening before we go home. This typically happens by 7pm the last evening in our experience when we purchase liquor from the duty free shop so I assume this would be the same. Additional bottles of wine beyond two (2) bottles that are brought onboard or any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the sailing.
  2. This is their wiggle room, highlighted. Nowhere else is change mentioned that applies to something like the wine bottle allotment. 9. PASSENGERโ€™S OBLIGATION TO COMPLY WITH AGREEMENT, APPLICABLE LAWS, AND RULES OF CARRIER; QUARANTINE; INDEMNIFICATION: a. Compliance Obligation Generally. Passenger shall at all times comply with the provisions of this Agreement, all applicable laws, and rules, policies and regulations of the Carrier, the Vessel and the Transport (as the same may be changed from time to time with or without notice), and including Carrierโ€™s COVID-19 Policies and Procedures set forth in Section 4 and on Carrierโ€™s website at www.RoyalCaribbean.com. The wine allotment still states: Alcohol Policy Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor, fortified wines (vermouth, sherry, sake, and port wines) or nonalcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Guests may bring personal wine or champagne onboard only on embarkation day, limited to two (2) bottles (no boxes) of 750 mi per stateroom. Wine should be brought onboard via carry on if possible. Luggage containing wine or champagne will not be delivered to the stateroom and guests will need to retrieve their luggage from security once the ship has set sail. Only staterooms with at least one (1) guest over 21 years of age are eligible to bring bottles of wine or champagne onboard. Guests may request a corkscrew to use for opening bottles in their stateroom.
  3. Looking forward to the bread pudding. One of the only desserts that I actually enjoy. Just not a rich, sweets person but for some reason bread pudding speaks to me. ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. Does anyone know if this is being enforced yet? We sail in 5 days and plan to bring on 2 bottles per cabin (wife and son in one, and myself in the connecting cabin), so a total of 4 bottles. I did print off our eDocs, i.e. the cruise contract, that still shows 2 bottles per stateroom not per person
  5. Call me crazy but I donโ€™t eat breakfast at home but I particularly look forward to one buffet item on every cruise. Corn beef hash, especially with a runny yolk โ€œsunny side upโ€ egg or two.
  6. It depends on how many people you have. Our party of 7 was about $35 each way the last couple of times. Thanks @poocher Looks like $17 total one way for up to 4 passengers, $23 for 5 passengers, and $34 for 6-8
  7. Exactly what I was thinking. Atlantis has enjoyed very little competition for being at the busiest cruise port in the Caribbean. It's about time that there are more, good options while at Nassau. Still baffles me now few good excursions are at this stop. It's ripe for more "all inclusive" beach days, and private locations like what Royal is proposing here
  8. No I don't think so. The current sailing is skipping Port Canaveral altogether still. I think, even with the reduced propulsion speed, the ship is able to make the two day trip back to Bayonne on time. It's that first leg to Port Canaveral that is difficult with only one day of cruising (when speed needs to be reduced)
  9. I am on the 19th cruise but I have not received an email yet. Weโ€™ll see. Hoping for the letter as it works out better for us
  10. Youโ€™re right. I should have separated that into individual topics
  11. Cheers. Happy cruising. I don't want to come across like an ahole so I'll move on. The logical side of my brain struggles with some of these comments, but the fun emotional side says... who the heck cares. ๐Ÿ™‚
  12. After about 5+ cruises you might finally be able to purchase a drink onboard with what you saved financially. The magnitude of the financial benefit is just so low, that's my point.
  13. Pay them ahead or onboard, doesn't matter to me one tiny bit. I agree that it limits you if you prepay. If something justifies their removal, your stuck. Understandable. However, what I do find interesting is that folks spend several $1000's on a cruise or multiple cruises and specifically say the rationale for not paying them early is the monetary value of not doing so. If you are paying them regardless, is a 3 month delay making or breaking you financially? Personally I wouldn't be booking cruises if it make a significant difference. I wouldn't cruise if my discretionary spending was that tight. Just me though. Until I have evidence that service doesn't justify the gratuities, I'll continue to pay them ahead. It's just not something I want to think about while on the cruise. So far, we are batting 1000% with good service. I have no reason to think it's going to be otherwise. (Now I probably just jinxed us๐Ÿคช) @Ryder101, from the other tipping thread I know you remove gratuities right away once you board, so obviously this is a moot point for you. Prepaying obviously isn't in your modus operandi. It's a whole 'nother topic if you aren't going to pay gratuities anyway, or cancel them in lieu of giving them cash instead.
  14. These comments always interest me. How is it going to have any significant financial implication by them holding ~$225* for a few months? Even at a generous 4% interest in a money market or something, those 3 months equal $2.25 * $16.00 per day double occupancy 7 nights
  15. Sorry to hear that. I would be happy to give up my desires (skipping Port Canaveral and getting OBC) so that those who wanted to go there, could.
  16. I feel bad for those who had plans for Port Canaveral but I hope the same itinerary and credit happens for the March 19 cruise that we are on. We were not planning to get off in Port Canaveral anyway and would enjoy the credit
  17. It is quite common to have an oasis class ship with another ship at Coco cay the same day. We were on the allure with the mariner in June. It did feel a bit crowded, mainly for beach chairs. The pool didnโ€™t feel as slammed
  18. Before, at time of booking. I donโ€™t need, or want, to see a bunch of daily charges showing up on our onboard account and something drastic would need to happen for me to try to remove them anyway .
  19. Cruising solo (with wife and son in connecting cabin) in 9 days on the Anthem to get my wife and I to diamond. This will be useful for our July Alaska cruise and Dec Celebrity cruise, and all other Royal and X cruises from now on. Dan
  20. Chairs tend to fill up from the bottom left of the map, then to the top left and then top middle. If things are looking full by the time you get on the island this area tends to fill up last
