  1. Also, no photo with the Captain any longer. Just a photo with your partner. The seating is just decided by with anyone standing in line. The food with wine/drinks was still excellent.
  2. You've got that correct. Since most people have the drink package and the food wasn't anything to get excited about, we just chose to go to dinner and skip the whole thing. The lounge was practically empty the time we did go.
  3. You have to actually place the order to have them shipped using the Medallion App.
  4. Maybe it's just me but we found the food at the Platinum/Elite cocktail party to be curtailed on what was presented each night. There was never anything "special" to attract us to go as there used to be 2 years ago.
  5. It's another idea dreamed up by someone in the front office to make it look like their taking all possible precautions to prevent any spread of the virus. I'm surprised they didn't include bite & mask in their recommendations. 😄
  6. I liked the ability to continue to watch one of their in room movies on my phone while waiting for a show to begin in the theater. I probably used it more on the ship then at home since taking loads of pictures means I don't have to carry my camera all the time. It's not for everyone I suppose.
  7. With out having a debate on the effectiveness of masks, I guess we'll just live life dangerously and hope for the best. And yes we'll be cruising without wearing one unless reminded constantly during the trip. We can't stand having to breath through a mask, especially the N95 or Kn95 type. Perhaps making a homemade one from the thinnest possible material would satisfy the Princess crew when sailing.
  8. That's the one. I believe the numbers lately have dropped significantly since the return of sailings. Many of the older cruisers have seemed to been holding off cruising. I wouldn't give up hope yet.
  9. We were on the Enchanted on Mar 10 as capriccio was & practically did most of the same things mask less without catching covid. If you're going to catch it you will regardless of a mask or not. We took the elevators most of the times without a mask, which most people did, & never a word was said except for a few people exiting in a huff when it got to crowded. They tried to tighten up the protocols 2 cruises later but most people continued in the same fashion without masks although masking seemed to increase somewhat just before the April crossing.
  10. About the only thing left that's worth much lately is the over 40 luncheon, if you qualify. 😉
  11. It's typical lately. Elite amenities are pretty much a thing of the past.
  12. I think he was a little confused about which desk to get the medallions at. Sure you can get a replacement once on the ship but obviously the desk in the terminal is the one he was confused about. On our last cruise I ordered mine to be shipped but forgot about my husband thinking both would be ordered. The line in the terminal was the shortest I've even seen & didn't slow us down for more than 5 minutes.
  13. Same is true of every waiter we've had for the past 20 years and that's not for club class either.
  14. You would have though they could have included an on-off switch on them.
  15. Since this was the first time these ships were using the medallion with the plus package I'm certain that the IT dept. never realized how difficult it was to implement during a busy day on a ship. Making a correction immediately is probably not practical but in the future I'm sure it will be changed to operate more efficiently. In the mean time we'll be closely checking our liquor account daily.
  16. It's been that way for years now. They try to miss a lot of the hurricane season by limiting the early time in the Caribbean. There are other cruise lines who operate in the Caribbean all year long.
  17. It only happened to us once in 30 days so it wasn't a major problem. Watching the busy bartenders, it's apparent how it could have occurred. They're in such a rush during the day, the new billing system they've created takes to long to input each individual order so they accumulate paper tickets until a slow period when they can enter them. I actually saw the crew one afternoon on the Enchanted who lost a "bunch" of the paper tickets before they were entered. They were going crazy looking through the garbage can for them. I suppose all those people received free drinks.
  18. We'll just have to wait and see. Things are changing as we post and in 6 months for our next cruise they'll probably change again.
  19. We were also one time and it was quickly removed at the PSD.
  20. Unless they've changed since March- NO. The only time I was asked to put a mask on was going through the terminal or getting on or off the ship and that was briefly when walking past the "mask checkpoint".
  21. In past years they did change it but it now might I would expect more guest entertainers then production shows.
  22. It shouldn't have made any difference. My husband mad a medallion holder from sheet metal and it works perfectly well. Possible a weak battery could have caused it.
  23. Or just give it to your partner to finish. 😄
  24. If there providing special pots for the European market why not have those pots available all the time for the US market?
