  1. I would guess the twins are about 33” wide, so pushed together 66” wide. A little wider than an American Queen, which is 60” wide.
  2. Because it would be too dangerous. They are the experts. It is disappointing, I totally understand.
  3. I know it’s too late now, but always get a copy of your medical record from medical before leaving the ship. Covid report should be free. They should deliver it to your cabin. Although, your positive was at the end. It’s so much more time consuming to get it after the cruise.
  4. Agree…or the lives of guests and crew. We would plan this for July/August, even then, not a given.
  5. If you have a TA or CVP you can book this transfer with them.
  6. Also, if you just booked your new cruise, give it a week or a few days to update in the App. The old one will fall off. Main thing is that your new booking shows correctly on the website.
  7. They usually give you a choice, if 1 is positive they can be moved to a different area/deck. Or, if you both choose to stay in your cabin, that’s okay too. Here’s the link about Covid OB. IDK if they have changed it in the last month. https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/us-cruises/ What happens if I have COVID-19 on board? Anyone reporting or exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms will be reviewed by the shipboard medical staff and tested. Positive cases that do not require admission to the ship’s medical center, or medical disembarkation, will most likely be moved to a different stateroom for the duration of isolation. If you, your family members, travelling companions or other close contacts are isolated or disembarked during the voyage, due to a positive test or being suspected of having COVID-19, you and they are entitled to a FCC for the unused portion of your cruise fare. For full details, see our Cancellation Policy.
  8. Do you have a TA or CVP? They may have received the email cancellation. They should forward it to you.
  9. I would definitely email Princess as @kokopelli-azsuggested. You will get first hand knowledge. Tell them your full name, the ship, sail date and your booking no. accessofficeprincess@princesscruises.com
  10. Yes, it is. I think your seeing that same price, only because these May/June Caribbean PCL are probably sold out. It’s more advantageous for them to let you pick a cabin hat is left. But, if it’s sold out, it’s a non issue. Also, the program is set up already in this format. Normally, it’s less for a GTY (Princess chooses for you). But, sold out is a different story. If I were on one of these cruises, I would possibly expect a call. Balcony, OV or whatever category, really depends on what area they are oversold. They will work all the bidding first to maximize the profits, then work on GTY rooms. If oversold and no last minute cancellations, they will need to do move overs. Interesting job.
  11. Yes, or give you OBC for what was paid. I have some purchased also for cruises later this year. I am not going to cancel them. Just check OB to see what they can do for me.
  12. Myst be all those GTY cabins they are selling now.
  13. Fabulous ideas! I would do OBC and before the big surprise…I would make a list of all the ways they can spend it. Specialty Coffees at the International Cafe Cocktails & Wine Speciality restaurants Chef’s Table Excursions Lotus Spa etc… Anything onboard that may incur an extra cost. Whatever they choose. They should have cash on them already, that they were going to use for the camping trip. If you have a Travel agent involved, maybe they can throw in some OBC for them too. Tell them what you’re doing and ask. Are either of them retired military or current? Princess gives military OBC. Just a simple form to fill out. Keep us posted on this great adventure!
  14. IDK if this will help at all, but here is a little bit of information about Princess and special needs: Sight & Hearing Disabilities Guests with sight and hearing disabilities will find vessels equipped with such helpful features as Braille elevator call buttons, audible arrival sounds and infrared listening assistance systems in the Princess theaters. ADA "all in one" kits are available upon request — featuring telephone amplifiers, visual smoke detectors, door knock sensors, text telephones (TDD) and other aids. In-cabin movies feature close captioning, and ship libraries feature a selection of books on tape. Unquote You or your TA should be able to call PCL customer services and they may be able to get an answer for you.
  15. It should tell you when you click on Flight Quotes… It’s been more like 300 days before sailing on some. Check your dates. Air will become available for this cruise approximately 300 days prior to departure. You may reserve air after booking your cruise
  16. We’ve refared many times since the restart. Sometimes, the sale is valid for new bookings only. So, they would need to rebook it and not just a reprice. If so, he could book another cabin and lock in the lower price, and when he cancels the other booking, he should see the cabin populate back in or he could call his support team for you and secure the cabin. Not sure why this CVP can’t do it for you. I don’t think my TA has waited more than a few minutes to get my cabin back. @voljeephas a good idea to call PCL and tell them you don’t want to wait till Monday. But, they may not be trained well enough to do that. Worth a try. They won’t touch your current booking though.
  17. Looks like they did get rid of the large (16oz) lattes. It was $3.50 for a 16oz Cafe latte, now it’s $4.00 but only a regular 12oz. PLUS 18%. 🤔 No more 16oz cups. They told us that at the IC on Enchanted in March, but I didn’t believe them. 😆
  18. Welcome to Cruise Critic! Yes, this 14 page thread was started Feb.15th, when the OP realized something had changed. Unfortunately, the New Grounds Coffee Package is gone. You would have to buy a beverage package in order to get coffee included. Or, many of us would only make use of the coffee and not the alcohol or soda/juice packages, so we will just pay individually for our coffees at the IC/coffee bar.
  19. If you have a TA/CVP that can enter the egift cards as OBC, then go ahead. I’ve had a heck of a time adding them as OBC through a PCL agent. I’m just not doing it again. I use mine mostly just to pay off a cruise at FP and then take some along to turn in at GS once OB. Works best for us.
  20. I’m afraid you are right. Well we won’t starve. 🤣
  21. The Dir of Restaurant Op (DORO) or Maitre’d may be at the embarkation lunch in the MDR, usually Midship 6. However, many times he is not there on that day. So, you can eat lunch there and check. They told us, just come back at dinner and ask the host team or the DORO. So, we ate at the Coral DR for dinner, asked for a private table for 2, away from others. We had a 2 top towards the back of the DR and it was about 3 ft from other tables. We checked on the way out to see if we could have that table the whole time (41 nights). They put it in the system. It was a great table and waiters!
