It can happen even with No Ugrade listed on the booking. Whatever program they are running, seems to miss some of those. A same category UG could be in a different area of the ship and PCL deems it a more desirable location or what I’ve seem more often is an operational reason for moving the guest’s cabin. Even if it is a no upgrade booking, operational reasons would override it. Sometimes guests are in the quarantine area too or crew/entertainers coming OB.

Hypothetical - Can You "Overpay" in Payments?
PacnGoNow replied to Rick&Jeannie's topic in Princess Cruises
I am going to give an opinion, even so.😳 If you overpay, could it go back on that last gift card as a balance? I bet we have a TA on CC, that would know! Sorry, just had to get my opinion in here while waiting for a real experience. 😆 -
Royal Princess Different MDR Dining Venues

Is this recent? There’s no anytime or traditional dining any more. It’s all called DMW or Dine My Way. Did they change this on your sailing? Maybe Club Class dining? -
Hypothetical - Can You "Overpay" in Payments?

No opinion here. 😆 However, you say you key it in? Is this a booking you did yourself online? -
Yes. Ours was $25 per person fee, as we only had 1 bag each. However, we get our first bag free with Delta and United. So, we only had to pay the service fee to Princess to do this. If your airline charges for bags, then you also have to pay any related baggage fees. Here’s a copy of an older form, but you get the idea. Last March they had added Air Canada. Which can change at any time. https://www.google.com/search?q=ez+check.form+princess&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#imgrc=

They had issues with weather and disembarking in Valparaiso, Chile. They are refueling in San Antonio, Chile due to a port cancellation. They should still have a fabulous trip. We loved it, as long as the weather doesn’t get in their way again. Why don’t you read their roll call or email them?

Loads of information on the British Isles forum.

Arrivals groups are on the App anywhere 59 days to 12 days before sailing. You can pick one if you want, but if you have a transfer through PCL….they will determine which bus you are on. Just keep your flight details updated.

Royal Princess Different MDR Dining Venues

Same menus and very similar in decor and size also. We pick the one that is more convenient to our cabin. -
Discovery is still celebrating it’s inaugural. Is your sea witch the right color?
-
I know. It seems to be a mystery. This was listed under their Headquarters Executives. But, we know things are not updated frequently. 😮 BTW, I have not received a call back or email from anyone at PCL since just after the pause in 2020.

Did you ever get your refund from AON? If so, how long did it sit “In Progress?” Or, is it still sitting there? TIA

😂. We don’t need any self destruct buttons. I wouldn’t delete anything. The reregister or register button could set up more accounts. You don’t want that. The link button really doesn’t do anything. I believe it was meant to link your bookings, but it has caused problems also. The new booking usually shows up in tge Princess App in 1-2 days. Don’t touch it.
-
If you see your reservation on the website, then give it a couple of days to populate into the Princess App. Do use the link button or reregister in the App as that can cause problems.

Glad you found it Jean. I like this update the best. More clarity, if that’s possible..😳 lol

5pm is your best time if you’re booking a private table for 2. We ate at Davinci every night. On the first night, if you like the table, stop on the way out and tell the ladies at the podium, you want that table every night. It takes them a few nights to get the lines down. Maybe because people are switching around. The Crown MDR seemed overwhelmed the first few nights. We sailed about 70% full. We chose the midship MDR because it was more convenient to our forward stateroom. If you book at 520pm, you may not have a problem either, but just depends how many want tables for 2 and how many early 5 pm diners. There will also be those who are walk ups. You do wait in line, for them to check you in, but once they get the tables assigned, the ones with reservations will go much quicker. My advice on the Crown, make a reservation for each night. You can always change it once OB, if you need to. We sailed last month 28 day So Pacific.
