  1. Yes, they all say that because of the pandemic. You have an expiration date on the box. That’s what’s important. The earlier date is the manufacture date and the later one is the expiration date. Check that date.
  2. Did you add it to the day? Did you cancel the MDR reservation? You probably are holding both. Cancel the MDR time and you should see the SD reservation. Make sure your CC shows the charge first, so you know it went through.
  3. They probably have a limited number for medical reasons. At least, let’s hope so.
  4. You don’t even need a tagalong to see your bday on the screen. Just her birthday on her account shown on the website information or App under celebrations. It comes up on the actual day you put in to celebrate it when you walk by. Balloons go up in the air.
  5. Were these both cancelled pre cruise, or once you were OB? The pre cruise ones should not take that long. I have cancelled and rebooked excursions, SD, onboard services stuff and it has only taken 7-10 days. OB, has taken much longer, because they process the refunds, then to accounting, yada yada. Still 3 mos is really a long time. I would definitely send a message to customer relations.
  6. Is everything correct on the website for your address and phone number? I would go through both profiles on yiur accounts on the website. Then clear your history and cache. Sign out of the App and back in. 1 account at a time, go to personal information and check each detail, make sure you have the phone number with the country code, US is +1 then the area code and number. Then the Address, etc. Make sure all that is correct. Sign out and then do the same for the other person. You can call and talk to the Medallion App team also on the regular phone, there’s an option. They may need to correct something for you or enter it for you.
  7. Do you have a TA? You would call them for help. Or, if you booked it with PCL directly….and they won’t do it… You could ask for a CVP/cruise vacation planner for this booking. When you get one, tell them what you want to do and see if they can help. Sometimes they can. Or, is there a NYE cruise you could tack on to this one? A b2b that would leave Dec 30-31, 2022. Of course, you’d need the time off. Just throwing out ideas. Best of luck.

  12. It’s a lot easier IMO. It’s almost contactless….which I like. We have the wristbands, and they are convenient. Some ships are not carrying the old cards anymore. So, she wants to whip it out to show every time she orders a coffee, drink, shops, open cabin door etc? I like to walk up and they already have that info for me. Anyway, order your medallions ahead of time. Go to GS once OB to exchange hers for a card, if they have them and you can keep your medallion.
  13. I’ve been on several cruises where there was filming and those crews were very respectful of the cruise guests. They would rope off an area when filming and film quickly and leave. Their calls were very early or late to miss a lot of crowds. So, we were not bothered. The also filmed more on port days. I really hope they are that respectful for your trip. If you sent a message to the filming company, express your wishes. Good luck.

  16. Was this cancelled OB or pre cruise? OB sometimes takes longer. Pre cruise has been faster. Who knows?

  19. Why couldn’t they be transparent, IF it was not a covid issue? I don’t understand. Anyway, I hope it was a fun cruise for most.
  20. So true! Some of the posters are reading Enhanced Voyages, when they are not on one of those. The emails sent from PCL seem like they are the general rules, not the specific cruise rules. Also, some posters ask questions and do not give enough info to help them. Big confusion, is if they post for unvaccinated or vaccinated status. Just look up the website rules and check frequently for changes.
  21. In the past, they sometimes UG for free or call to offer an upsell or paid UG. If you have your record marked, no upgrade, then they won’t call. Since the restart, due to ships not being full, they have done some paid upgrades at Guest services. Go as soon as you board and ask, it doesn’t hurt. Then, if they say that they will get back to you, go enjoy lunch and see what happens. Many have reported decent deals, so I’d go for it. I would look at what is open and have an idea what cabins that I was interested in before the sailing. Good luck!
