  1. Thanks, believe me I know. It just happened to us. But, if it does happen at least the TA can say it was marked. We got our original back.
  2. How was your balcony size? Covered or half covered? TIA
  3. The worst thing that could happen, they charge you $20 corkage fee per bottle over your allowed 1 bottle per person. I’ve never heard of them holding wine from one port to another, only till your disembarking port and delivered to your cabin the night before. I think this is an answer that no one could answer ahead of time. It is up to the Princess alcohol desk on the day of departure. If they are setup “yet” at the time you go through security.
  4. Maybe. It’s rolling out on a lot of ships. Check your roll call to see if anyone has received an email.
  5. Wow! I’m surprised. That’s great. I would love it If they would do that, IF I won a bid. Lots of IF’s. 😂 We will see. It could be because it’s such a small amount? You should buy a lottery ticket!
  6. Same happened to us! Of course AON would pay, that’s why we bought insurance, right? Anyway, we only had the expensive hotel and meals for 2 days to submit. So, ours took 9 weeks. Don’t know why yours was so long. I’m so glad you finally got it though. We’re you on the CB?
  7. It is more possible during covid times. But, make sure your TA marks it NO Upgrade, especially if you Like your current cabin. Check your cabin every once in a while.
  8. Medallions will follow you. You don’t have to do anything. Congrats!!!🎉
  9. Go into your cruise personalizer and click on the web version of the Medallion App. You can do DMW there. Sign in on your account or your partner’s account, if you have a problem.
  10. Did you try another bid on those 6 rejected ones to see if there were any options to bid on? IDK if they leave everything open? I would bid On the one I really wanted the most and bid a little higher. I wonder if they had a lot of bids or just not enough cabins available? Thank you for feedback, as we are learning.
  11. True, poster just quoting the island restriction as it was related to a camo medallion bracelet.
  12. It is just a Government rule. They tell you before you disembark that it is prohibited. Several islands in the Caribbean have restrictions. It’s also printed in the patter.
  13. They did for me, but that was a few months ago, when we had the same issue. Since it was supposedly fixed, we are now hearing of more problems. But, this one is different. This issue is the App not showing the correct Captain Circle level. So, unless they fix it for those folks, I’d pay full price, if I was traveling soon, then get the 50% back as refundable OBC. And… copy or screenshot the paragraph on the website that’s states that fact.
  14. Okay, do still open. I wonder if they keep it open until 3 days prior?
  15. You should see that option on your email confirmation of your bid. Once you cancel, you will also get a confirmation of that cancellation. Very easy to do.
  16. Is the bid still open for you? Could you go in and bid in a higher category balcony or minisuite? Do you now have to cancel your current bid for an OV?
  17. Definitely the most convenient. I don’t usually feel seasick, but the few times I have, because of really rough seas in the North Atlantic, I went midship and low to the Piazza, deck 5. Stayed there a while and felt better. As long as I didn’t look out the window at waves coming up over the windows. Lol I bought those sea band bracelets at the drugstore and they seemed to help. So, good thing to take. Most of the time, haven’t needed anything. You’ll enjoy the location.
  18. That’s great! Let us know if you’re able to get them to change to 1 room either ahead or OB. Will be a lot easier for you Is it showing unavailable? I love to unpack and forget it! Best of luck.
  19. We have status with Princess, Carnival and Royal. We much prefer Princess. We’ve had great cruises on all of them, but prefer the laid back feel and the “vibe” of Princess. They have made changes that we don’t necessarily like, but nothing major IMO. They all need new avenues of revenue to thrive in this market now. Similar to the airlines comeback after 9/11. It was a tremendous struggle for a few years. Still seeing the effects of shortages as are cruise lines. Don’t think for one moment that the other lines are struggling to get back to pre pandemic…because they all are. I have a lot of family and friends out there on the other lines and they all complain about changes. Read some of the roll calls, you’ll see. The biggest issue I have seen is with the App. It is a lot better now than a year ago. Hopefully, they will keep making improvements. I love the concept and I have only minor issues. I do like it on the ship. So, we will keep sailing Princess. No one can beat their crew! They have been amazing through all of this.
  20. Are your rooms in the covid area? Wasn’t it port side forward? How do you know you didn’t get it? Did they notify you that your bid was not accepted? You got a free UG, if you were given a balcony from an inside. That’s a nice UG.
  21. They had been only using the balcony rooms for isolation, not the insides. So, that might-be why they didn’t move her.
  22. Thank you! Very important information if they close it off from changes or cancellations 9 days before. They are probably working that cruise right now and close it off while working on it. Let us know if it stays locked for a while. Good luck!
