  1. I’d stay around Savanna, GA if it were me. I’d check for Marriott’s in that area. Or near Destin, FL. Just for nice areas.
  2. It seems the one who posted the article in the newspaper, may think of FCC’s as a free cruise? Their interpretation.
  3. Not on PCL. You just show up for bkfst or lunch, during open hours.
  4. We did not do a shore excursion, as others posted it was crowded and very hot! You can see it from one viewpoint from your balcony…. BUT do go to different areas, promenade deck, Lido deck for different views. You have a lot of time to do this through the locks. Also, as @FantasiCat mentioned, the Sanctuary is a great spot too!
  5. Your Princess sign in on the website is the same as the Princess App that you downloaded. I’m surprised that you can’t book shared tables with the DMW. You may want to look at that again. I’ve booked individual DMW for each night and the whole cruise. Makes no difference. I have found each ship operates a little differently for seating in the MDR’s. Book the time and MDR that you prefer and shared, if you can. If you can’t booked shared, recheck that. It may change or not be updated yet. If you can’t get shared, then upon arrival on the first evening, speak to the DR manager, tell them you prefer shared and they can change it in the system. However, if you dine with a group the first night, if they agree, you can all ask to be seated at the same table every night. Some ships will do it, others, not as easy. I’m glad you finally took the plunge! It’s actually a great App, just took a long time to improve and update. The designing stage was lengthy! 😁
  6. Yes. I’ve prepurchased internet, excursions, etc and cancelled or rebooked another cruise. Those refunds go back on the credit card you used to purchase them.
  7. There’s an interesting thread about this subject. Especially, read post #10 onwards. May help, IDK.
  8. Check once OB with GS about Sun Country. Didn’t see them on the list, but that can change if PCL contracts with them.
  9. So it took about 2 mos to get the FCC’s from ship quarantine? Did you have to request it by calling or emailing? If so, whom did you contact? TIA
  10. Was on the Crown last week, MDR mid ship deck 6.
  11. Absolutely, you would not be denied. A lot of people pickup at the port, like Canadians and overseas guests too. There are several lines, like Elite/Suites and really it goes very fast. At the port, if you need To pick up, you just tell them you need to pickup your medallions and they direct you to the right line. It’s a checkin counter area. I’ve picked up there before, because it didn’t arrive in time. It took about 2 mins. Don’t worry. Over the holidays, they mail out a little earlier, because the mail is slower. Do not worry about it…no big deal.
  12. You could order the medallion to arrive at your home in PA, as they usually arrive 10-14 days before sail date. If for some reason you do not get them before you leave, no worries! You can pick up at the port…..very easy and takes a couple of minutes. Not a big deal at all. You can certainly pick an arrival time to match your daughter’s time. If it’s not available, again….no big deal. Just go with your daughter. They are not restrictive on arrival times at all. No one asks. FT Lauderdale is a very easy port for embarking and disembarking. Enjoy your cruise!
  13. Thank you. Sounds like you have to initiate the request for FCC’s.
  14. If you have quarantine on the ship and are due FCC’s…..what are supposed to do to get the FCC’s credited to your account? Call customer solutions? Fill out a refund form on the PCL website? Do you get a letter from GS or Medical before leaving the ship? Not any directions of how to handle the refund request on some ships. TIA
  15. Seems the MDR’s varied in the beginning of the Crown cruise. But now they are letting people go to assigned tables too in the DaVinci MDR. They still check you in, as they can see your cabin no as you pass by the podium. They should do this on all ships.
  16. So glad they were able to straighten it out for you. Have a great cruise.
  17. Yep. We have to stand in line every night, just to check in and told our same table is not guaranteed every night. Even though it is 5pm DaVinci party of 2. We booked same time, same MDR, private table every night. Goofy policy.
  18. No engine problems. Looks like a lot of carpeting was replaced. No issues to report. Looks good for her age. The crew is definitely the best!!!!
  19. Did your 45 day deadline pass for making changes on EZAIR? Did you go to the cruise personalizer and on Travel..EZAir to see what is available in first class if you wanted to change it? Your earlier flight may not be available on the contracted rate with the airline. Are you ticketed yet? Do you have a TA or CVP that could help?
  20. We’ve had to tell them every time, there should be an Elite discount. They have not automatically credited it. They seem to only credit it, IF you ask.
  21. I would also send a message to IT email address and explain your problem and what you have tried to do. This is not acceptable and they need to fix your login. Make sure to include: Your full name and DOB Ship and sailing date Booking number A360ad7@carnival.com
  22. Surprised. Did you use OBC to pay for them? Or a CC? Whomever processed them treated it as an OBC purchase, evidently.
