  1. Yes, taking the included tour. Planning to visit the Fromagerie in Marigot, to purchase some French cheeses.
  2. Attended his CIA museum lecture, presenting interesting facts about spies and tools of the spies. Also spoke about the spy Moe Berg. Another lecture is scheduled for today, the CIA museum, what you missed the first time.
  3. Today, arrival to St. Martin has been advanced 1 hour, to 11 am. Tonight, a BBQ dinner is planned for the pool deck, with roof retracted. All entertainers are scheduled also, with dancing under the stars. (Yesterday, pool roof was partially opened in afternoon) Today, weather is sunny, clear and up to 79 f.
  4. M&M has been scheduled in WinterGarden, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
  5. They had it on Regatta last Sept. Later in voyage, a 2nd Art Hunt was added, so I think, 120 photos to identify. Was really lots of fun.
  6. Now on Star TA. No astronomer lecturer.
  7. Lunch in WC today. Started talking with person a few seats away. By chance, enjoyed meeting @stretchcruz and had a pleasant conversation, sharing cruise experiences.
  8. Was good to hear John -- singer/guitarist in Explorers last evening. We remembered his fine, talented performances from Sea in December 2022. Conversations can be had during his repertoire. Last night went to Restaurant at 8, waited about 10 min., even for share, so went down to Manfredis to enquire if they could take us as walk in. No problem. Went back up to get Mrs. FetaCheese, still waiting. Enjoyed an excellent meal. Quality seemed better than prior December/January 2024 Hawaiian Islands Sojourn. Exec Chef Joseph Dabassious is back. Menu is same as before. Fried shrimp/calamari app was fabulous, lightly breaded, lightly fried. A very large quantity. So delicious. Shared a salumiere app, good quality and presentation. Mrs. had beef short ribs entree, with half portion of Spaghetti Carbonara, both excellent. I will order the Carbonara next time. I had Viking Bistecca, cooked to my preference, also excellent. Shared a Castanea dessert.
  9. Hello all, OP here. Flight arrived 4 pm with all bags. V rep was waiting at bag claim with manifest. Told to wait at seating area with bags until all pax were here, some from ORD. A short wait, then we were led to coach. Was disappointed that V did not porter bags, so got our own with 2 pax we knew from PHL gate. The coach was about half full already, but enough seats for all. FLL very close to port, but with traffic exiting airport, about a 15 min. ride. Driver did load and offload bags at term. Claimed bags and handed off to port porters, who were waiting for us, the last coach to arrive. Security and check in very quick, and we boarded ship. Short safety briefing, then went to cabin. Bags arrived a few min. later. Unpacked, ordered a room service cheese plate, which is of excellent quality, no feta cheese however! Getting ready for dinner.
  10. 45 min prior to Uber pickup, received msg from AA of 2 hour flight delay, 1 pm departure. Called V emergency #, they will notify transfer rep and ship. As long as arrival prior to 4pm, we should make ship. Then received more flight updates, departing 4 pm. Called V emergency # again, and flight has reverted back to 1 pm departure. Waiting at gate, with seatmates, also V pax, on same flight. Before folks say I should have gone in a day early, yes, I know I should have paid Air Plus fee to deviate.
  11. If interested, I started a Live From Viking Star, 18 March 2024, on main Viking board.
  12. Flying in to FLL non-stop from Philly tomorrow morning. Looking forward to being back on Star, and meeting fellow pax. Another pax is organizing a M&M, so will report back when details are known.
  13. We're 2 of said East Coast -- Philly pax -- with an 11am same day flight. Arr. 2pm. Hope all goes well ! And Pool Grill stays open.
  14. In December 2022, cab fare from hotel in Eixample district, Passeg de Garcia, to port was more than it should have been, Uber as yellow cab -- €12 -- but no Uber would pick up -- driver could not be found, so hailed regular yellow cab in front of hotel. Het took us "tourists" the long way around, €20
  15. @cruisedreamer2 The emergency # was not sent with my tags. Received email with # 2 days prior to embarkation. Said to call starting 24 hours prior to embarkation. Thanks for mentioning to add to phone contacts. Just did that.
  16. @CCWineLover Thanks, this was same menu as was on Star December 2023.
  17. 18. I think Clay's menu photo was from the V Voyager app. Manfredis does offer sides. If you have a booked cruise, and a MVJ Account... onboard experience...Dining... Manfredis...sample menu #3 is listed -- opens in a new window on desktop. (Does not open on my mobile)
  19. You can edit post for about 15-20 minutes. Just delete your copy, then save.
  20. @stretchcruz We'll be back on Star with you. Now wondering which Manfredis menu will be offered. On Star 28 December 2023, Manfredis waiter said they have 4 menus. Now up to 5. On MVJ, #3 listed.
  21. On Viking website: Find cruise you are interested in. Find Itinerary tab -- will list itin each day. Open each day -- will show list of all possible tours -- not every one usually offered. Open each for tour description. Does not show cost. Usually 1st tour listed -- will show as included -- open for tour description. Hope this helps.
  22. I do not see any 20 - 30 somethings in O brochures or web adverts.
