  1. This is lubricious. I am 73 and very active. Do aerobics, cardio, light weight lifting every day. I'm probably less risk than the 30-69 y/o person who is severely overweight and can't walk 2 feet without huffing and puffing. Probably the same ones who have to take the elevators on the ship, while I take the stairs. It's not about age, it's fitness no matter what age. IMO.
  2. There was a towel station at Thrill Waterpark when we went in June. Not sure of the other areas. One tip- if you take one from the ship, get it the day before not the day of. There was a long line at the pool deck to get them on Cococay day.
  3. We were on Anthem in2019, had a costume parade, haunted house, lots of decorations. Windjammer had decorations and pumpkins carved and other fun stuff. Lots of people dressed up. Very enjoyable.
  4. I broke my arm on a cruise in 2016. They gave me conscious sedation to set the fracture and casted it. they kept an eye on me and I went back several times for rechecks. They have a crash cart available and an xray machine that is adequate, but not state of the art of course. Had surgery when we got home. This past June was on Symphony and developed shingles on my face. The fortunate part was I did not have pain and it did not affect my eyes. Again received antibiotics and shingles medication and was rechecked a couple times, even a very thorough exam of my eyes with ultraviolet light. Was followed up by my personal physician at home and doing well, except for scarring which I hope resolves over time. As a retired RN, I thought the care was very good.
  5. IMO, and just off Symphony in June, the coffee in the windjammer and main dining rooms are good. Especially if they just replace the empty pot with a fresh brewed one. Also Park Cafe. Now understand I don't drink speciality coffees, only plain black coffee. Just want it hot and want it fresh and I'm happy. Don't like it super strong and don't like it weak.
  6. Yes. We got canned sodas all the time on Symphony in June. Just went to the bar and asked for the kind and number we wanted and were good to go.
  7. We were just on the Symphony and had 3 connecting cabins. Our room steward removed the dividers as soon as we requested. NP at all. Hope yours will do the same
  8. Yes. When we were on the Symphony June 11-18, my 12 y/o grandson found 3 of them. He was pretty excited about it.
  9. I know not sailing until 2024, but any thoughts, ideas when bookings will open ? Thanks
  10. We just got off Symphony the 18th and it was at max capacity. We don't normally like to cruise in the summer but we took family with school age children and this was their preference. It was pretty crowded especially at the pool on sea days. All of this was not unexpected for a summer cruise, but I will not cruise again in summer or school vacations. It was a madhouse everywhere. I normally don't go to the pool on sea days but because our family was there I went. Way, way too crowded for me. Ugh. But being with family was fun.
  11. My husband travels with a CPAP and we just put it in the nice bag it comes with and carry it on the plane. Would not put in check bags - too much risk of damage or checked bags being delayed. We've done this for years and works well.
  12. Very good to know. Appreciate your response.
  13. We sail on Symphony (fingers crossed no storms) 6/11. Can anyone tell me if we have to take beach towels from the ship or are there towel stations on the island >? We have thrill waterpark booked, so that's where we will go first. Thanks.
  14. We did it in April. Would I do it again, no. Lunch nice but not worth the price we paid. $180/pp. Another ship in port and they got there before us. They had all the good spots taken. It was nice enough, but my husband has limited mobility so he didn't really enjoy it. It's secluded of course and that's fine, but I really would have not gone if I had known the set up better. Going in June with family and plan to enjoy the whole island. IMO, save your money.
  15. We are on Symphony in June with family. How can you communicate between each other without using Voom ? Through WhatsApp or some other way ? TIA
  16. Would someone refresh my memory please? We are sailing on Symphony June 11. We will have a 3 y/o (granddaughter). Are there life jackets available for children or do we need to bring our own ? It seems I have seen them, but of course didn't pay close attention because didn't need to then. Also are water wings allowed in the children's pool ? I assume would need to bring our own ? Thanks for the help.
  17. My experience also. If doesn't upload not going to worry. Hard copy in hand when I check in. On Symphony in April didn't want to see my phone, just looked at hard copy. See what happens in June on the same ship. LOL
  18. Also checked in 3 cabins and agree very smooth and easy.
  19. We cruised in April on the Symphony, were off about 9 am, UBER XL very available and quick to pick us up.
  20. Yes, do this when have no interest in seeing ports already visited many times.
