Diamond Drink Vouchers & Frozen Drinks
Tree_skier replied to TerpsBball's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Every frozen drink I have ordered has been $14 or less and included as a diamond voucher. If she requests a specific liquor that is drives the price above the $14 threshold she would just have to pay the difference. However, I'd be surprised if she was charged anything. I have order all kinds of different things and never been charged an up charge. -
Birth Certificate Line Question
Tree_skier replied to ChrisCJR's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We just did this getting off Navigator. We had our Grand kids and the younger two didn't have passports. Ourselves and the oldest GK did. No problem mixing and matching BC and passports. -
Since you got me to try one of those last year when doing a live on Ovation I think I have been able to get it on every single cruise I have been on since. I'm surprised you have had trouble getting it. As an FYI since you're getting on her in the future... I saw Maker's Mark on Navigator. Sorry I should have taken pictures.

What is Yummy in the Main Dining Room?
Tree_skier replied to Diane67B's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Someone already mention the pecan crusted Salmon, which is very good. Also, I really like the beef tenderloin served of the formal nights. I'm not a lobster eater so this is always my go to on formal nights -
Which cruise and why? Help me decide
Tree_skier replied to colesc15's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I'd stick with Oasis... I spite of the lackluster itinerary 7 nights on an Oasis ship beets 5 nights on Independence all day long. While I think there is a big difference between an Interior and JS not enough difference to get me to cruise fewer days on an inferior ship. -
I've done that on my last few cruises but the most recent I went back to the DBP. It was just me and three grand kids so I was able to buy it for just me since DW wasn't coming and I used my diamond drinks for treats for the two girls. Besides that, they mostly drank water.. The boy got the RP. We have another family cruise coming up in Dec but this time it will be DW, the GK's and their parents so a total of 7 of us. I'll have to evaluate how to get best value.

My very first Royal cruise was Serenade back in 07... It was fitting that our first cruise post virus era was Serenade. I think we were the 5th sailing after the restart It was a bit of a ghost ship but I loved that cruise more than anyone could imagine. Serenade will always have a special place in our heart.

Cash is fine... You don't need to do anything until your account hits $500. At that point they cut you off until you pay it down. Go to guest services, hand over the cash and you get another $500 of credit. The one down side to this is the last night you have to wait in a long line at GS to pay off your account prior to debarkation. As long as you don't mind the line, cash works great.

Noticed this on Navigator last week. I think it is a good update. They can remove the requirement to contact Special Needs for simple things like cpap water and cord. -

MSC World America - Quantum + Oasis class in one?
Tree_skier replied to seasidemama's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The only way I try MSC again will be in a suite in YC. Everything I’ve read says that’s the only way to do it. -

Your experience mirrors my one MSC experience. I’m one and done -
If you’ve done a week at Whistler then I’d say skip it for a day trip. The shuttle to Squamish to the gondola sounds great. Stanley Park is the Jewel of Vancouver China town is an interesting visit but only go during the day. It’s a pretty sketchy later in the evening. I like Robson Street. It is a vibrant area at night usually, if weather is good. For a restaurant recommendation I always recommend Joe Fortes. https://www.joefortes.ca/ if the weather is going to be good try and book on the roof top garden at Joe Fortes.

No this isn’t true. It is active from the moment you walk on the ship. There will be limited brands while in port be cause of Texas tax laws but you can get anything you wAnt if you aren’t fussy about brands.
