  1. Thanks again, keep up the great reporting. Do you also have a pic of the downstairs dining menu?
  2. In case others didn't see it, Princess has now posted to their Health Protocol FAQ their new MASK POLICY: "Masks are recommended, but not required, in the majority of venues, though they may be required in select venues or situations. Please note that in an abundance of caution masks are required at all indoor locations on northbound and southbound Alaska voyages between Whittier and Vancouver until further notice. Masks will be provided to guests if needed." I for one are glad they have new mask policy for peace of mind. Let's hope they enforce the rule.
  3. It gives me more peace of mind having the masks REQUIRED. Thank-you Princess. Hoping Princess enforces the new mask policy. I wish the excursion buses would also require masks. I didn't understand either why they also wouldn't require masks on the excursion bus. Then I remembered reading that excursions are run by other companies, even if booked by Princess.
  4. Thanks for doing the live Majestic posts. We have a Majestic cruisetour that also starts in Fairbanks in July '22. Also have EZ-AIR. Look forward to getting your subsequent posts.
  5. Amen! We also had several Alaska cruises canceled. Now we have our bucket Alaska cruisetour vacation booked for July '22. Bring on the vaccinations & BOOSTERS(why are they not required?), tests and mandated masks. What many selfish people fail to realize is that proper masking by ALL helps to prevent the spreading of COVID-19, not just to help protect yourself. In fact it really takes a N95 or KN95 mask to protect yourself.
  6. I would want all masking, but only works if rules enforced. Princess rules say they can force you off ship at next stop & ban you from future Princess Cruises. The proper way is for Princess to post new mask rules on their web & send email to all booked. But who am I to tell Princess,
  7. My wife saw on FB Princess site that as of today MASKS ARE REQUIRED on certain Princess ships. There they posted signs even at drinking areas. There your asked to "sip & cover". Anyone else know of this?
  8. My cruisetour starts 7/5/22 in Fairbanks. I got an email message from Princess this morning about the additional testing. This in addition to the pop-up message I posted last night. I guess Travelbuds will have to be exempted due to the timing?? However, in the long run I think the additional testing is a good thing for safety. It should have been this way all along.
  9. I was skeptical because of the odd bitly link that doesn't work(it's a 3rd party app for abbreviated web address-crazy). That's until I logged onto my cruise personalizer. Princess really needs to post it on their public web under the FAQ's for Health Protocols. Or perhaps it's only for certain cruisetours? Were you able to open my word doc?
  10. Princess Cruisetour TESTING REQUIREMENT CHANGES ** My wife just found out this evening from new FB post from admin that Princess is now requiring Covid testing prior to Alaska land cruisetour(land first). Passengers must pay for this within 2 days. This is in addition to the testing they will provide prior to getting on ship(during land portion). However, Princess still hasn't posted it to their public website. Other than on one of the FB pages for Princess, you can only officially see it when you log onto your Princess cruise personalizer where it now pops up. You can't proceed without acknowledging it. One would hope they would send us an email, but with Princess who knows? This is the message that pops up.. SEE ATTACHED. (printscreen to Word doc.) Princess cruisetour testingupdate 052922.docx

  12. As Alaskanb wrote, it depends on. airline. For our Nov'21 booking of July's cruisetour I was able to select seats almost right away on Delta's web. However , Delta had since twice dropped the seat assigned & re-entered. But for return flights on Canada Air, it still won't let me pick unless I pay a fee($10 I think). It's free within 24 hrs of flight upon online check-in.
  13. No, I don't think it's a coincidence because the credit card statement shows that the credit came from Princess not the TA. I think the TA can get straight through to Princess authority unlike us the consumer. But maybe I'm wrong?
  14. A responsible experienced TA(not a Princess agent) really helps. This besides getting me a better deal. I had some issues getting a refund of rather expensive Princess Skagway excursions that Princess cancelled. When I would call the excursion dept they know nothing, just thereto take orders. So then I would try customer service and some reps would try and understand, but finally tell me they can't do anything, that they would have to transfer me to CUSTOMER RELATIONS and warn me it will be along wait. Well twice after being on hold for 1 hour I got disconnected! Then even though the excursion was booked online with Princess, I emailed my TA at American Discount Cruises with all the details. She replied back to me the next day that there's a credit in the works. My credit card account had it's credit the next week.
  15. We're not alcohol drinkers so we don't have the Plus or new Premier package for our July Majestic Alaska cruise. Does this mean we can't buy any pictures? On past RCL cruises, we've always waited until they posted them(more recently on the screen) before we decided which to buy.
  16. Thanks for that info, even though it sounds disappointing since our train is supposed to go to Whittier, not Anchorage.
  17. I'm on Princess GB4 cruisetour in July '22. But doing land 1st , flying into Fairbanks(2 days) + Denali Princess lodge(2 days), then train to Whittier. Does anyone know if we have an opportunity to visit in Talkeetna when we get the train? It's not on our excursion & I heard its a nice place to visit.
  18. I read somewhere about getting cans of diet Coke to your room for $12.00. if it's true, anyone know how many cans and if ordered on Medallion app? Order onboard or before?
  19. Thanks, I posted to that roll call yesterday
  20. Does anyone know where the quarantine cabins are now on Majestic Princess? We're booked for July cruise on DOLPHIN DECK 9 deluxe balcony. On much earlier non-Alaska cruises & last year people thought quarantine was deck 9. That's scary for us!
  21. So, does anyone know where the quarantine cabins are now on Majestic?
  22. We did not get the Princess PLUS package because we don't drink. But originally didn't think we would need wifi, but are now thinking of getting @ reduced price. This because of potential communications needs with Covid. But, now think we will wait until we get to Vancouver Airport(have plenty of time) to get covid tests. Any advice?
  23. I have a Motorola(android) phone & my wife has Apple 11 ios phone. Is my daughter correct that if I get wifi Medallion Net for just 1 device that we can both use our devices, along as we're not logged on at the same time?
