Upgrades are available now on our next cruise. We’re in an inside cabin in a location which is good for us so will be sticking with what we have. Upgrades are starting at £140. each for a larger inside up to £480. each for a deluxe balcony. Found this on the upgrade page.

I don’t think they will fully stop this on ships, just reduce the areas. Agree with the area of the lift, ridiculous place to put it. The smoking area could/should be moved around the corner. The smoking area at the aft of Iona is stupid too, ash trays fixed against the outer rail with chairs in front. Passengers just take up residence for the day and when the ash trays are full some just put their fag ends in the nearest almost empty glass 🤢 I am an occasional smoker (5 per day max) but hate the smoking areas. I always take a pocket ash tray on holiday in case the area is busy. My husband is a full time smoker and if they stopped it I would have to spend more time with him 😫 Did notice on Iona in June a lot of vapers not using the smoking areas and nothing was said to them.

I always gain weight in winter, it’s the mince pies and Christmas cake with a big lump of Wensleydale 😋 Takes two weeks to put in on and 3 months to get it off 🤣

Going back a few years now but didn’t P&O used to compensate if they reduced the price of your cruise ?? Im going back to Ruby tier days 😳

They are overlooked but very big. The cabins are also a lot bigger too.

We’re going to Canaries on Iona 16th March. Madiera is easy to do on your own, take the cable car up to the Botanical gardens or just wander around the town. There is usually a shuttle bus to take you into the town. Lanzarote we have booked for the Sunday market as Arrecife isn’t our cup of tea. We tend to have a good look on Google maps to see what is in the area and then decide on excursions.

Get fast track, it was pre covid and agree thought it very unfair at the price charged.

If I remember rightly the lounge access is only for Tui/Marella customers.

Sounds like you have had some fantastic experiences and made many good memories . Completely agree that cruising offers up so much more than land based as it offers places you wouldn’t even think to book a holiday to. Our highlights this year are the Loen Skylift, sitting on top of a mountain with hot chocolate and a warm cinnamon bun and the spectacular views. Another is a train ride into Swedish Lapland. Really need to book another cruise 🤣

We had exactly the same thing on our Arcadia to Norway cruise a few weeks ago. We felt the same about the wording of overnight, when it said departs early morning I was thinking 7am 😳

Captain last month was Martin Sharples, I only remember that because of Ena.
