  1. Spif- Thanks so much for taking one for the team. Enjoy the shocking food.
  2. For Celebrity, only M-Class ships do the full transport of the PC. We did it on Infinity like @phoenix_dream. It is not about fitting into the locks, but fitting under the Bridge of the Americas on the Pacific side. The Infinity had the Helipad open for good forward views for everybody. But we mostly observed from our balcony in our cabin. It was super hot and humid and being in the AC was nice.
  3. Well that is one way to "look at things"!
  4. Value is a personal perception. A Good Value is different for different people.
  5. We sailed CClass and actually received nothing. But maybe we had to request- didn't know that. In our recent sailing in a CS, we got one bottle of sparkling wine in our cabin (first day). But no canapes daily anymore. They are in the Retreat Lounge. Maybe if you ask your butler they will bring some to you.
  6. Sparkling wine and afternoon treats ? Every afternoon? Maybe in a few high end suites only.
  7. We all understand that the full Revolution was ongoing until the pandemic shut down cruising (and income). Hopefully Celebrity will get back to it on the remaining M-Class and S-Class ships now that cruise line income is returning- but the debt is still massive. For those that want better (newer) furniture and amenities, there is E-Class for now.
  8. Not the whole ship by any means. Too bad this has turned into another IV thread.
  9. Have a great cruise and just take normal precautions. Unfortunately noro will never be fully eradicated.
  10. As I've said in other posts, we definitely do land vacations and multi-week vacation home rentals at a less expensive price than the two of us (usually in a suite) on Celebrity. I learned this during the pandemic cruise outage. We still cruise but it is no longer our only vacation choice. For many years we only cruised. We have opened our eyes to non-cruise vacations, and also to other cruise lines not named Celebrity. We now understand that the expensive Celebrity cruises (with lesser quality now) are in competition with all sorts of vacations. We are so much the better now for this!
  11. If you are here asking this question after 20 Celebrity cruises and you are E+, then you can certainly answer this for yourself. Nothing said here will likely sway your future cruising direction. Maybe try another cruise line or two and see if the grass is greener. It is your money and your vacation and your choice if Celebrity no longer fills your needs. Unless you are on the long trail to Zenith if that is more important to you.
  12. Sky suites are definitely larger than traditional Inside and Balcony Cabins. There are a lot of sites where you can find the SQ FT of all cabins and suites on any ship.
  13. IMO the Celebrity ships are highly prepared for both Noro and Covid these days.
  14. Agree with your post. Norovirus on cruise ships is unfortunately as old as cruising (and passenger lines before that). But I guess the posting here on CC about it has a value as it does remind some people that it is always a threat. It is also a huge event and costly when the cruise ship and crew needs to deal with an outbreak. They are vigilant, but passengers are passengers and not all are doing the right thing - extensive washing with soap and water. But a lot of folks, me included and like you, wash in a restroom before entering dining areas or other public areas. No value in judging people - nobody knows the individual situations. By the way, you can pick up Noro at the Mast Grill, bars, the pool area, anywhere there are infected people touching things. Not just the MDR or OVC. It is quite common on land particularly from salad bars. We just need to take care of ourselves (like with COVID) and assume most others are doing the right thing too. But not everybody.
  15. As the COVID threat recedes, this is a reminder that the Norovirus threat is always present on ships.
  16. Much better to bring your own or to get a couple of fresh ones in a port. But the ones in the ship's shop are in a humidor as you can see in Post #18.
  17. In a smoking area. There is a spot to the port side of the Sunset Bar where people smoke cigars on the S-Class ships.
  18. Pizza served by the slice in the Oceanview Cafe (buffet) on all ships. Several types of traditional toppings. It is decent but not gourmet.
  19. @phoenix_dream first off a big Congrats for making Zenith! In regards to your thread and post(s) why even bring up the concept of Cheerleader? It carries a negative connotation here that some (mostly disgruntled) members use for everybody and anybody that enjoyed their Celebrity cruises and have positive things to say about them. You have opinions I respect and you always come across as balanced and pretty accurate. I am glad you are enjoying cruising on Celebrity, and many here forget how much we missed it in the dark days of the pandemic shutdown. Again, congrats and thanks!
  20. I think only the two M-Class ships (Millennium and Summit) got new cabin furnishings when revolutionized. On other newer (S-Class) ships like Silhouette perhaps a few higher end suites.
