  1. They did before the pandemic shutdown.
  2. Supposedly Princess no longer allows passengers to bring plastic soda or water bottles on the ship at embarkation. The policy says cans of soda and water (12 per person) are allowed. I do not know how much Princess actually enforces this policy.
  3. My post was sarcasm (as wowzz recognized). Tides can be predicted into the future far longer than needed. At the time an itinerary is set for anywhere in the world, Princess can easily determine what the tide situation is for every port. When an itinerary change due to tide levels is announced as late as Princess has been doing, it is basically an admission that either those setting up the itineraries have no idea of how tides can affect schedules or are incompetent in their jobs. Not necessary if Princess would run the calculations (or just ask Mr., Google) at the time an itinerary is announced. The published itinerary should take tide conditions into account from the start.
  4. Yes, but it has to be liquor that had been purchased by Princess from a Texas wholesaler. Thus, choices will be limited.
  5. This is because science has not evolved to the point that tides and their times can be accurately known until within a few weeks of embarkation day.
  6. Princess attracted us with their many unique itineraries that competing cruise lines did not have. As an example, Princess no longer has an itinerary that sails up the Amazon river to Manaus. So if I want to be on a cruise ship with 4000+ passengers going to overcrowded ports that can handle the big ship crowds, I have my choice of cruise lines and price can be the determining factor. It does not matter which cruise line I would take to just go to St. Thomas, St. Maarten and a private island with 4000 of my new friends.
  7. But obviously more loyal to CCL and RCI than to Princess.
  8. This did receive attention months ago when other loyalty perks were eliminated. Basically, the 10% discount now only applies to items not on sale. So if an item is at full price, you can get the 10% discount. If it is on sale, bye bye 10% discount. So 15% off makes it on sale. No loyalty discount. I assume the "sale price" does not have to be for a meaningful savings. If an item is reduced in price by one penny, then it is on sale.
  9. The ability to bid on an upgrade does not happen before final payment and the bids are not necessarily accepted/rejected soon after bidding starts. So if you want to pay for an upgrade you have plenty of opportunity before final payment to do so.
  10. Royal class ships do have M6 Club Class cabins.
  11. With EZAir, you can change or cancel the reservation up to 45 days before the cruise/flight with no chnage fees and a refund if cancelled, at least we can do this in the USA. If booking directly with the airline, unless fly at the highest rates, the funds would be non-refundable or there would be change fees. Now why Princess did not help the passengers whose EZAir booked flight did not make it to the port city on time is a different question. Princess should have helped then join the ship at the next port at no cost to these passengers. The post above about this did not say what happened if the passengers tried to contact Princess.
  12. I think that is a separate issue from onboard balance refunds. Those are surely handled by different people using a different work process.
  13. Those people using Princess EZAir selected Easyjet as the airline to use and selected which flight to take. The same problem would have happened if they had booked Easyjet directly. Based on some other posts here, BA flights were also offered by EZAir, but these people did not choose to select one of them.
  14. Business class passengers can get seat assignments at no cost as soon as the flights are booked. Not necessarily the same for coach passengers who, depending on the airline, may have to wait until 24 hours before flight time to get a seat assignment at no cost.
  15. I think this depends on the airline's policies. We have booked EZAir for a flight in regular coach next year from Europe to the USA that is booked as an AA flight but is operated by BA. EZAir allowed us to request seat assignments at no cost.
  16. Was your b2b booked as a single cruise (one booking number) or as two cruises (two booking numbers)?
  17. It may depend on how the cruise was booked. If a b2b or a b2b2b (as the Op has) as a single cruise, it should be able to be carried over to cover all the segments. But if booked as individual cruises, then the coffee "card" would likely expire at the end of each booked segment.
  18. I agree with days 2 and 7. First sea day is always a formal evening unless there is a special holiday (think New Years Eve) soon after the first sea day. And day 7 is separated enough from day 2 it will be the 2nd formal evening as it is the last sea day other than the last full day on boad which is never a formal evening.
  19. When it comes to refunds, they are not automated the way charges are that quickly go to your charge/debit card. Refunds are handled manually as each one has to be approved by a human. I assume this is supposed to prevent fraud.
  20. Pre-pandemic the Excursion promotion OBC was listed as such on the onboard account, but actually was treated as OBC available for any onboard spending. I suspect the same is true with the current promotion. I would not rely on anything a phone rep tells you about this. They have no idea at all about how the onboard accounting system works.
  21. How full was the ship? If you were seated this quickly both with and without a reservation and the ship was full, then Princess handled Dining My Way very well on your cruise.
  22. If staying at the Embassy Suites, isn't hotel breakfast included in the room rate?
  23. A ship could sail from Seattle to Los Angeles without any passengers
