  1. thank for your opinion which I share. I feel too many folks fly by the seat of their pants and or just reckless. oh well.
  2. sorry I disagree. folks need to pay for one for their best interests in case things go wrong, If ya have the money for a cruise, ya have the money for a passport. So if cruise lines make it a requirement, then it shuts down the folks who sound like kids saying "NO I DON'T WANT TO" I mean cruiselines strongly suggest and so folks so just listen and not whine. Then again, I am sure there are folks who do not wear a seat belt either as then Do Not want to. sigh
  3. I notice for the med they might start in one port and end in another. I like r/t and yes I feel too many over 14 days but what a great way to avoid riffraff party drunks or lots of kids. Some 20 days trips have 1 or 2 ports that are not on the 14 days so that annoys me.
  4. well usually if part of a package book ahead of time. Otherwise wait until the day you board, go to the Steak house and check it out then decide. I know one some ships crew will approach people with an offer for a good deal if the restaurant is not selling out.
  5. Well you picked the brand newest ship in the fleet for first CCL trip. I suggest you look at You Tube videos. This ship does have a section that honors the older ships. I think you will find that it is a high energy ship with pretty good food and good enertainment. Carnival is not as cheap as MSC and Carnival new designs. I have done most of the cruiselines and there is none that is perfect. Enjoy the Celebration and check Your tube.
  6. interesting as I did Vista in 2018 and will do Horizon this Oct. I had a trip planned on Panorama but moved to Horizon. I did like the IMAX a lot.
  7. Nooooooooooo it is by the pool. I am one who thinks too many ships load up the front and back with too many rooms. Princess did that with Royal class and NCL is Haven crazy with the front of the ship
  8. you are now one of four or five that is posting. thanks for not putting menus on your post!!!!!!!!!!!. I have a feeling they will start to repeat. Just please share some photos and opinions of the ports of call. Toodles safe travels
  9. I too am interested and really wish HAL would do more 10-14 days instead of so many over 20 days and also more r/t instead on 1 ways. I can dream I suppose
  10. it is now a requirement to use Verifly? two famous you tubers mentioned they had to do this on Noordam for NZ. I thought one could just use the HAL app or on line documents
  11. I toot toot you to have a nice trip. I would love to someday do a world cruise but I would mis my home and paying my bills on time. oh and my car. So I will follow along with your feed.
  12. I am betting that Anthem will get the noisy Playmakers in SeaPlex. But I hope they keep the nice swing bench in front part of solarium. Anthem is the only ship that has this.
  13. well put. I mean if folks spend money to cruise, then pony up for a passport and do it in plenty of time. And then lately there are stories of folks traveling with less than 6 months left on active passport. To me take care of the details and then no problems. I hope eventually all cruise lines will require a passport.
  14. yes I have booked and only gotten an email saying thanks for deposit. what I do is screen print the payment details before I submit credit card and save to a word doc so that I have the breakdown.
  15. yippee I decided to call the Captains club and she researched and said the system would know to credit back to the card. The agent was wrong but fear not the computer is smarted and will do it correctly. toodles all
  16. I tis amazing how so many companies list of exceptions is long that is just blows your mind when you need to change or cancel. No pilot hmmmm how does that work? Feel bad for this situation and all the others that makes no sense. I guess the passenger rights bill for airlines and cruise ships needs to be adjusted for NO PILOT.
  17. you are such a good cruiser for X I should have put your name on reservation. haha but nope I am USA and they told me nope to a refundable only FCC. I looked up my PDF and is says a refund within a certain time. oh well. my final was due in 17 days and well X must be hard up for money.
  18. I booked on line. Still the words refundable should be back to credit card. I have a cruise in Sept and will use the FCC for that and then so darn done with X. Imagine RCI handle things different than X. thanks for replies folks.
  19. nope live in USA and was told difference between refundable and non is the $100 fee. otherwise I get FCC. I challenged several times and she would not budge. so pissed I could spit. I just also cancelled under RCI (because I realized New Zealand trip would be around Thanksgiving) and my refundable deposit is coming back to my c card. NOPE not with Celebrity
  20. and even if booked as refundable, still you will get back just an FCC. I started thread on this. So mad right now I could spit.
  21. So I had a refundable deposit on the Beyond and today I wanted to cancel. Was told I could only get an FCC. hmmm then what even have a refundable deposit. I mean RCI which is part of RCG doesn't do this. I will have to accept the FCC and apply to a later cruise, but it does sound mean. I went to the website and honestly the way policy is worded, it is rather confusing. Again why even have a refundable deposit. To me its like you show an interest in Celebrity and put a deposit down under the tern refundable, but really that money will never get back to you if you cancel.
  22. Curious who is the captain and c director on this sailing? I had capt Rob in April who was take out captain Glad to see the ship was able to dock at Coco Cay but I bet pool was cold
  23. yes nice to hear. If a cruise ship did NOT stop, and it was reported, then they would be in trouble with maritime law.
  24. I know that feeling. I put a sign on the steering wheel of my car, about passport, credit card, phone and vaccine card. If I was to drive away without those things, I would deserve whatever happens to me for being stupid
  25. no, nope, nada, don't even try. Ships can be delayed, traffic can be heavy and why stress yourself. Always take advice from the cruise lines, and book after 11:30 am or even better 1pm. relax and people watch at the airport which in Orlando can have heavy TSA so I would never book a flight before 1pm.
