  1. yes I am looking forward to it. Spent 7 days in Norway in 2018 but did not get to Oslo. Was supposed to do Norway this year on new HAL ship that would overnight in Oslo, but given isolation possibilities I removed all European cruises this year. looking forward to 3 next year 1 on RCI, and 2 on NCL. Glad I got my Canary Islands on Celebrity in Nov. 2019. was really nice trip
  2. well the takeaway is you are not just set free but you are put into isolation. So testing at the port was always a risk and that is why I waited for non testing at port to change.
  3. well yesterday Quantum of the Seas had a medi vacate during the inside passage. So anything can happen for health. I was talking about roudy behavior
  4. I would not know since I do not use the lounge. When I ordered wine in the MDR, he could tell by my seapass card and it was not charge not even a receipt for a tip. So guessing the lounge also keeps track by the seapass card.
  5. might still be setting schedules for 2023. every day is a different experience with RCI website just like weather. Keep trying. Or call I was looking forward to trying Voyager as I did Serenade in 2018. oh well I still like the fact that they kept the interesting 7 day itinerary which is 2 days Denmark and 3 days Norway inc overnight in Oslo. Very unique for Copehagen port
  6. try going on a HAL ship. I would not expect to hear this very often.
  7. aw thanks for the photos. I narrowed down to my two favs. Hope to see this waterfall next year when I take my cruise on NCL Prima that starts in Iceland,
  8. oh my those look really good. Might have to try recipe.
  9. I wish El Loco Fresh would be on every ship. As for Johnny Rockets, they have the worst vanilla shakes and really greasy burgers. But breakfast sandwich for free were great. Loved the Wipeout Cafe on Allure a lot. I also wish more ships would have Jamie Olivers. Mason Jar food was meh and just okay. The band was good though. nice and cozy place to stop by for a half hour or so
  10. great attitude. But surely you must have one ship that you really loved. Song of America was supposed to have been really great in her day. I did Sovereign back in here first year.
  11. and at lunch they have bags of chips. However, they also have the skinnest thin sandwich I have ever seen. But I got a bag of chips at least. Yes love the breakfast sandwhiches. on Symphony there are 3 rocking chairs a few feet away from the exits. I did not see these on Allure.
  12. I never go into the Diamond Lounge. Once I peeked in and folks looked bored. They are there to collect their free drinks. I will pass.
  13. Serenade is switching out with Voyager for some cruises. My May 21st out of Copenhagen will now be Serenade. Perhaps they are still assigning and switching passengers still.
  14. with lots to do on Oasis class ships, you will find a few evenings eating in the Windjammer to be fast and good. Plus you get a view of the water. Ice show setting on the sides is also good as I tried it and liked the angle and felt closer to the skaters if in the first 5 rows. the Aqua theatre you can always stand in the back. Do not overlook getting breakfast at Park Cafe or solarium. A nice break from the WJ. I have been on Symphony and Allure and Wonder since early April. Lots of walk in availability for most shows, but the comedy show in the small club you should get reservations. However, each cruise will also do the adult show most likely on the last day in big theatre. I would make sure to get off on Labadee as I hear it is nice again. Sorry you are not going to coco Cay.
  15. there is a saying called "try it you will like it" Wawa is an institution and their quality is consistent.
  16. onc can only hope. But for me if the pretesting does stop, I will continue to wear mask in theatres and elevators as I have cruises almost every month. The best thing to come out is the creation of a recovery document so that if you get covid, you do not have to cancel 3 months of cruises. T
  17. yup either that or the pool deck. I just had a problem with them not sticking to the posted closing time. To them if folks are getting lots of drinks, they will stay open as long as then can and allow lots of noise. so beware those on Wonder or Symphony if you have balcony rooms in boardwalk area.
  18. excellent to always have a WAWA. When I return from a cruise, I make a beeline to Wawa for a nice hoagie.
  19. I hear ya. funny that Rite Aid stayed out of the quick testing business. I guess it is where the locations are and how much room. Urgent care charges too much but is also a choice too. I will be glad when testing stops because one can now fly on planes without masks and really if vaxxed, then think of it like the flu.
  20. oh I do agree, but if the line is not making enough money, they might have to change with the times. I do think they have way too many cruises over 21 days and wish they would have a bit less or break it up. I think couples with babies would like HAL as it would be nice to walk around the promenade with strollers and would be relaxing for young parents.
  21. it was very busy on the Wonder and during Soccor games. And it was supposed to close at 1am and at 2am from my Boardwalk balcony room I heard VERY loud music which required me to make a nice little call to the guest services. It was quiet for a few days and then back up again. If a lot of folks are drinking in Playmakers at 1am, they will keep it open until last guest leaves even if 3 am. So think of this if you booked a room in the area as it was LOUD.
  22. agree I like going to walgreens. I have the emed, but have yet to do it and not happy with the idea that I live in a country where going online and then a foreign country over the computer will test me. I also would hate to have defective tests or a disconnect or whatever else could go wrong online. I will use as a last resort and before going to CVS and paying lots of money and having to see a nurse for a real appointment for other stuff. CVS is price gouging IMHO. I did one of the last CVS test before they switched and then I noticed they charged my medical for the test and a charge for the nurse. My insurance covered it but wow what a difference from Walgreens. Wonder why
  23. I think they did this back with vaccines came out for older kids and now vaccines are coming for little ones. I think they handle requests for vaccines and then testing. As long as a new day is added and it keeps at 3 days, we should be fine. I do not believe they are getting out of the testing business but react to when new vaccines come out for a new age group. Last night at 12:10 am I saw WEd 29th come up and so tonight I expect to see Thur June 30th come up
  24. aw okay. I will get to see this for myself when I go in the fall on the RCI Adventure OTS. I remember back in 2016 getting a nice shot of Anthem from the port. guess that is now gone. I mean they want the tourist but not the sight of a ship. oh well. here is Anthem in 2016 so pretty
