  1. I hate to say it but I really like the Ocean Spray Canned - You know the one where you cut both ends off and serve it with the ripples showing. As they say you can take the Boy out of the country, but not the Country out of the Boy.
  2. They aren't that daring but have a Beaf an Kidney, Chicken and Guinness Beef. When we lived in Ireland we would always pick up a meat pie for Sunday Lunch - I'm still learning to appreciate Haggis. 😝
  3. Glad it worked. One of my Butlers taught me that.... Did you happen to try the Mirroring that is available via the Celebrity Main Menu screen - It gives you a URL address and then you put in a 4 digit code the TV shows and then you can stream wireless.
  4. YouTubeTV - owned by Google often even blocks common NordVPN connections. If you go to NordVPN.Com and type YouTubeTV in the help pop up it will give you a list of 3 tested servers. It has even blocked some of my Obfuscated Servers -
  5. You will have to try the Meat Pies for sure - don't think you will b disappointed. Iain being a Scot loves them - He usually just has cheese and crusty bread and maybe a pate for lunch but when they are on offer he definitely enjoys them.
  6. I agree but I wold consider the Coffee Stop to be the Free Battery Acid in the buffet. I just can't drink that stuff..
  7. We mostly took private tours with guides we found on Tours by Locals. Almost all tours are via train/bus/tram. The first guide taught us how to buy tickets on the rail system. Little confusing as they have separate rail lines and often you have to use different terminals. We bought multi day passes that really made it much easier.
  8. They do have pretty good exchange rates. I sometime also use my Schwab Platinum Debit Card. They don't charge out of network fees and reimburse for ATM fees.
  9. A suite without having to pay for it. Set one up as your living room
  10. Yes but you need to select a check-in time for each individual. What I do is use the App - On the app you can go directly to CheckIn Time and select a time and then on to the next person. You don't need to complete the whole checkin at that time. Any time up until 48 hours prior to cruising each person can individually complete the check in or you can do it for all the passengers. Slots will depend on how quickly others checkin. I find the earliest slots often stay open for a day to a week.
  11. Love it. It looks so delicate. Personally I drink so much coffee I refer the al Bacio take away paper cups.
  12. Wow... excited to hear but haven't talked Iain into it yet. To me that would be a cruise of a life time. As Iain says....It's only money we can't take it with us.
  13. I'm rolling on the floor imagining you asking for a straw for your Cranberry Sauce. How difficult it it to add a bit of pectin. I had some once that was the opposite and was like eating cranberry gummy bears. Have you noticed any changes to the Menu. Some are reporting they are starting to add back items to the menu.
  14. What fun. Your pictures are bringing back so many memories of our crossing. One thing I found interesting in the Canal I was just watching a really good YouTube Video on the Suez Canal - both a good history as well as a time lapse of the crossing.
  15. Yea.. It's pretty normal for American's to drink Coffee in a Mug. Larger and holds the heat better. I'm trying to remember - do they even have tea cups with saucers in OVC. I looked at a picture and only see mugs in the self service area.
  16. I'm with Mr. The British Pub Day in OVC is one of my favorites. I love the Guinness Pies and Chips...I was also surprisingly impressed with the fish and Chips. Hope you enjoy the Canal - Just noticed you are getting close - What is really interesting is you are following QE2 - When we crossed in the opposite direction she was directly in front of us also. SilverSeas Spirit is to her port. Wonder if she will slip in between you. I'm guessing she will be behind you because she is only cruising at 15 knots. It is so fun to see so many ship close by. I was surprised that you are entering so late. When came in the opposite direction we entered about 8:00 AM and was daylight for the entire transit.
  17. At entrance to OVC . Left side --- looks like a bar - they also sell Fresh OJ. If you look UP -it says al Segundo al Bacio. I past it for years before I realized they had a Espresso Machine behind the bar. Often a waiter will take your order and charge your card. I believe you can also order from a waiter while sitting down, but have never done that.
  18. I believe you can cancel it for a full refund of the deposit amount. The terms say if you don't use it by XX amount of time the deposit will automatically be refunded. It varying time frames - mine had a 1 year booking period.
  19. Prices dropped significantly after final payment. I heard from others that called and they were not making any adjustments. Both the CS and RS had dropped significantly.
  20. I usually don't buy them either anymore, but did last year because the new cruises were not to be released until a week after then end of the cruise I was on. I worked out ok for me.
  21. That's good to hear. I've been on some ships and the line was 50+ deep. Especially after the restaurants close for breakfast and every one going for pastries and muffins.
  22. Actually it looks pretty good except for those sorry looking bans. Was that stuffing under the Turkey --- What no mashed potatoes (that everyone has been complaining about)
  23. It was just announced today that Celebrity has introduced a new Program called XPass - Includes many of the perks like priority boarding, Embarkation Lunch, Priority Tendering, Reserved Seats on Chic nights. You too can now getting a Disney type Express Pass for just $32.99 pp / pd Seems expensive to me but many may enjoy the privilege.
  24. Did they lay off all the CVP's ? Sure seems like shooting themselves in the foot
