  1. Yes Le Voyage is an up charge. I'm sure someone can confirm, but I believe if in RS and above it is free with the exception of the up-charge for wine pairing I've not been on Ascent to experience but did have the Daniel B Special Dinner when he was aboard to launch. I would say it was good but if a "REAL" foodie from NY, I fear you may be disappointed. Of course food is subjective.
  2. My favorite personally is Silhouette. Solstic and Reflections have not been Revolutionized the other two Silhouette and Equinox have . M- Class Celebrity Millennium — February 9, 2019 — Completed! Celebrity Summit — March 23, 2019 — Completed! S-Class Celebrity Equinox — June 1, 2019 — Completed! Celebrity Silhouette — February 14, 2020 — Completed!
  3. Thanks for your well written critique. We will be joining Edge on Nov 25 so just starting to pack. I have to agree with you. I have learned to enjoy Edge Class ships after 5 cruises but there are really some misses - e.g. The Open Atrium adjacent to a number of Restaurants - Blu, Raw on 5 and Fine Cut and Le Grand Bistro. In the evenings when they put on the "Show" in the lobby you can't even have a conversation over dinner. I do however lover Eden and Eden Restaurant. As a avid walker I also love the jogging / walking track that converses 2 decks. Like you our sweet spot is the S-Class ships.
  4. The only time I've used my DL was as a photo id to get back into the port. Another time we were taking a Self Drive off road Jeep Excursion and the Driver of course had to show their driver's license when they were handing out the Jeeps.
  5. Wow... really surprised to hear what a disaster it was for B2B's in Dubai. I was just reading on the Social Media Site and I have never seen so many complaints.
  6. Agree with John - The Retreat concierges have all the card stock and can print you a correct one while you are have a drink.
  7. As a Zenith, I like it. The all inclusive basically took away all of the Zenith Perks we had. Our intention when we hit Zenith was we would travel more in AQ and then use our perks. Now that Zenith has access to Retreat and we Get all the perks except tips - It is very tempting to do some last minute bookings.
  8. It may be that we are frequent suite guests and Zenith but ours called and said - do you want the regulars and read them off. They were all there except the wine swap. The butler know of it but said he couldn't get the wine until they unlocked the ships wine supply. Both the Butler and Room attendants always take care of anything they missed very quickly. My understanding is that unlike older days where they send requests to the Retreat Concierges, they now send it to the Retreat Manager. Personally I think it worked better before they put in a middle person.
  9. Yes you get the free dining. I haven't won a Signature Suite upgrade but have won upgrades to RS and Penthouses. It comes with the room. You also get PJ's, two Liter Bottles of Premium Liquor and 2 extra internet accounts, and of course free Laundry and Dry Cleaning. Have fun.
  10. Thanks for doing a Live Post. It is always nice to read each individuals experience as opposed to expectation. Until I saw you photos I had forgotten Reflection hadn't gone through Revolution. The bedroom color pallet gave it away. She still looks pretty good.
  11. It is normal and the things listed are just some of the things they will help you with. They can arrange for needs like desired pillows, extension cords, swapping the Bubbly for a Chardonnay etc... They are an extension of the On-Board Concierge and work closely with the ship. Now reality - over 50% of the time my requests never get through to the butler. They have gotten better on my last couple cruises.
  12. I agree 100% - I've had the same issue and I use a Password Manager so I know the password is correct and then even look and confirm.
  13. They ask to put out luggage by 10PM but you can actually leave it after you return from dinner. We usually don't go to dinner until 9:00 PM and past 11 by the time we return. Never had a problem. We aren't the only ones that leave it out later.
  14. Unfortunately that isn't you browser - that is a screw up by Celebrity Programmers side.
  15. This may help also if you are choosing a room. It shows the percentage obstructed. The one posted above would be the worst case. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Flyers/EDGE_Percent_Obstructed_View.pdf
  16. This would be an example of a partially obstructed view on Deck 6. Would recommend checking out Cruise Deck Plans and select ship. Many of the rooms have either youtube videos or pictures. May give you a good idea
  17. Glad you got it fixed. I've also had to reset my password and it allowed me to use the same on again.
  18. When experiencing sign in problems on Celebrity, you can usually fix it on your preferred browser by going in and clearing cache.
  19. We really didn't have any lengthy passport delay. On our last stop we had a UK port prior to Southampton so no passport controls at all. The previous time no big delays but we were in a suite which may have affected our experience. We made a 8:30 train which included walking from the ship to the train station. I'm sure you will even in worst case be able to do a 10 AM excursion. Usually 9AM is last call and the regular B2B process begins at 9:15. You might even be able to do your B2B processing on the ship and get your new seapass before you leave.
  20. I have a question I hope you can answer. I'm on Edge that will also be overnighting in Benoa. A big question has popped up about the Customs Declaration that has to be filled out 3 days prior to arrival. Some on our roll call have attempted to fill out and under arrival it only has drop down menus for Airports and the port is not an option. Can you advise if you had to fill it out prior to arrival - Currently Celebrity is telling us we need to fill it out but not how.
  21. Not sure about Persian Pass. The Spa Cafe is not open on Embarkation Day. Yes you can drop your luggage off as soon as you get on the ship. Your SeaPass will be in a sealed envelope on your door.
  22. I think there are many good suggestions here. Personally I book when I find a Cruise I want with the cabin I want. I then check on almost a daily basis. I keep a spreadsheet with everything broken down - Price, Perks and OBC - I then create a shortcut for each cruise to the page where you select cabin Category. I have had many cruises that I booked two years out are far below the price closer to sailing and have found others that I have had 3-4 price matches.
  23. Boxing Day really isn't a holiday in the U.S. so you might see something on the Canadian Site. If your cruise is outside of Final Payment (90 days), I would recommend booking now and keep checking. If the price drops call and have your price adjusted. At least this is how I would do it in the U.S. Not sure if Canadian bookings also have best price matching up until final payment. I have a little trick. I search for the cruise and do a mock booking up to the Category Selection window and then Book Mark. I can then get back to check with just one or two clicks. Example of my March Cruise - https://www.celebritycruises.com/booking-cruise/selectRoom/stateroomCategory?pID=SL17T035&sDT=2024-04-09&sCD=SL&sCT=CO&roomQuantity=1
  24. We did it last year and the year before. Both times it was the regular B2B process. Unlike many ports they usually put on a B2B tour or two. When we did it the first time they had one B2B Tour to Windsor Castle and another to Stonehenge. We chose the Windsor and was nice with about 20 people on a large tour bus. If I recall they did immigration on the ship and afterward we met our tour and used our Pass in the package to get back in terminal and pick up our new keys. Other time we just stayed aboard. They processed us after the ship had completed disembarkation of regular guests. Like most B2B you have 2 choices - Either leave whenever you want and use your Transit Pass when back at terminal you go to a special desk for B2B's and pick up your new key card. The other option is you stay and are processed with the B2B group and then either have full run of the ship until general boarding or can leave the ship and use your sea pass on return.
