  1. Bo - Tell your spouse you deserve all the attention you can get. Of course you are on Vacation and need to be treated like a King.
  2. Yes they still offer. I believe the last price I saw was 49.99 but often they sell it pre-cruise at a discounted price.
  3. It may depend on the dealer. We also tried it and told we couldn't bet on the outside with promo chips.
  4. It is the intention to pass by the Statue of Liberty but wanted to point out that on occasion due to weather and ship traffic the cruise lines are sometimes denied this route. I was on one such cruise last year. It is a not to be missed moment if you get to sail by her.
  5. I can imagine it could be a bit tight in a NYC Apartment. He really does have a good ear but also still studies music. Before we go to an opera he usually buys the script and studies the music before we go. I'm totally tone deaf and can't even hum in tune. The one thing I really miss about the Grand Piano is the physical feel of the music.
  6. If your travel partners trust you they could give one person their username / password and one person could go in and select the same embarkation time at once. You don't need to do the complete checkin you can just select the checkin time and then they can come back and complete the rest later. If security is a concern they could use a generic password for the infidvidual to select the times and then change their password to their desired one.
  7. Celebrity has always been slow at correcting inconsistencies. I did a mock booking and it did show the new 10% deposit for the suite i chose but the fine print has the following. - No wonder there is so much confusion.
  8. I think Cruise Reviews can be like reviews on Amazon - 15% hate the product even if 85% rate it exceptional. On both I enjoy to read a perspective and discount the really high and really low reviews and find the most accurate reflection somewhere in the middle. It is also interesting that two people review the exact same cruise and have 180 degree reviews. A review is simply one's person perspective and may be jaded in either direction depending on many small factors that may build up to either a really good cruise and one that was disappointing.
  9. In the past when your status went pending or disappeared the fix was go into your profile and delete your CC number and save then enter it again and save then log out and back in. Doesn't matter if you do it on the app or pc. Worked for me when I had the problem.
  10. I generally have found that the side of the ship really isn't important . At the Glaciers the captain rotates the ship 360 degree in one direction and then rotates in opposite direction giving everyone views from their rooms.
  11. That may be but doesn't' explain why a person in a suite or Aqua would find the Buffet acceptable while a person in Concierge and below would not. When on M and S ships I often order meals from the MDR menu and find them quite good.
  12. Curious if you have experienced the "decline in food quality" or just going on complaining on the boards. Personally I have not noticed any decline that would dissuade me from eating in Luninae every night. Even all the times I visited the buffet I found the quality to that pre-covid. It may also depend on the ship and the perception of the writer.
  13. That is not possible. You have to use it or loose it.
  14. Do you know how late they serve room service. I hate to ask all these questions but Ponant's website leaves a lot of questions.
  15. Thanks - I'm an early morning person and was envisioning myself having to bring back morning fare. One other question. Our cruise documents say to bring Whites for a theme night. Do they really do that? We probably won't bother.
  16. The only white parties I've seen were special themed evening for a Full Moon Celebration - Less than 5% wore white.
  17. Hi Cheerleader ! It is nice to occasionally read an upbeat thread. I have to jump on you bandwagon and say that I have enjoyed all of the cruises I have taken this year. Things have changed a little but to be honest I see more things the same than changes and deterioration of service. We ate a number of times in OVC for lunch and with the exception of finding one dish unacceptably cold all was perfect. A wait person asked me if I was enjoying the meal I pointed out the cold dish, to my surprise about 20 minutes later a Maitr'D had tracked me down and wanted more information of which dish. He promised he would make sure it was corrected immediately. I have to say that on a couple days they had Pot Pies - Chicken and Beef. They were incredible. Choices were exceptional and changed often. Surprising stations that I enjoyed - A Banana Split Station - A Trifle Station with a variety of items to build you own trifle .... Yum. On one French Themed Day they had Duck Pate, French soft and hard cheeses and many french dishes.
  18. If Non-Refundable you may be able to transfer some from your room to a Slot Machines or to obtain Chips that can only be redeemed for the amount won using the chips. Other than that you can not withdraw cash. If Refundable they allow you to withdraw the Refundable OBC the day before the end of the cruise.
  19. Have to agree Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini is by far my favorite. While we decided to sell off Iain's Concert Grand (takes a lot of space) he has an Electronic Piano and plays daily down in the office. Usually he has headphones on but I often have him play so I can hear it. It's amazing that he plays without the need of a score except when he's learning something new.
  20. I'm sure it may be a decision of the Cruise Line. Mein Schief (German Line often have hundreds of bikes lined up for their guests to use.
  21. My experience has mostly been time of the ships departue. I always check in for a FLL departure at 9:01 Pacific. Yes it is exactly at the stroke of Midnight. If Feb 28th it will be 12:01 AM Eastern In reality when checking I found that the early spots remain open for a couple days after initial release date.
  22. I only had one problem for a party we were hosting. I had invited the group as our guest but they all ended up being charged for it so had to have them reverse out all the charges. We are currently at home in California for the Summer. We rarely cruise when school is out and will be sailing next in September.
  23. I wouldn't worry about it. It is normal for the app to perform as you describe. Out of curiosity I just checked my 11/23 Cruise on Edge and show a couple things in Cruise Planner but nothing in my Calendar for all the tours I have booked. I see this often and is usually up to date by the time you set sail.
