  1. They usually have silent disco on most curies so I expect they will. You can check out the daily planner on the app, if loaded for your cruise or select another current 5 day cruise on that ship. Go to daily planner and filter by all activities instead of recommended I have been on a number of curies post covid and don't recall ever seeing a white party.
  2. Probably 15-20 feet. Which I've found on many of the ship to improve performance by about 50% with a poor signal strength. It also allows one to select a different channel that is not as busy. I usually bring a wifi extender and place is directly on the wall as the door closest to the direction of the hallway router.
  3. Great idea. We use to do the same but found Uber and Lyft to be less expensive and more convenient for us.
  4. Now that would be a disappointment and would think a rebate would be in order.
  5. I think you are pretty much spot on with the Solstice sailings out of LA. I've been checking 4 different cruises and only one went out at about 85% capacity and most at the 60-70% capacity. Has nothing to do with Celebrity limiting capacity totally due to low booking numbers.
  6. I think you will find that there is no number just for excursions and if you call you will probably be disappointed. Many of the customer service reps are out side of the U.S. and many of the U.S. reps are in Kansas and have never even seen a cruise ship. Start by reading the description of the tour in detail and be cognoscente of how long the tour is. Google on both the port and where the destination is and will give you a good idea of how much time you will be on a bus. An example is a "Paris on Your Own" out of La Havre - using Google Maps for La Havre then choose directions and put in Paris and select car. It will return 3 hours (each way) which would extrapolate to at least 6 hours travel time on an 8 or 10 hour tour. I think your best bet is to first book what interests you at this point, as many tours sell out quickly. You can cancel for a full refund up until 24 hours before the tour. Next join a Roll Call for your cruise and start asking questions. Also look at some roll calls for your itinerary prior to your cruise and ask questions there also.
  7. If I understand you are to be on a cruise and you may wish to turn it into a B2B during the cruise and get the onboard credits etc. If that is the case, my understanding the deadline is 48 hours prior to sailing of the second cruise. This due to the manifest of the next must be filed with CBC at that point. If the ship is sailing with lots of rooms available they often have a posting in the newsletter - Want to stay aboard for the next cruise and will give you instructions. If you will be booking with the same agent on the second cruise as the first it is automatically assigned to your agent and as long as he agrees to give you the TA perks you should be good to go
  8. When you purchase a Future Cruise Booking Certificate Here's the the flyer that I booked a Certificate from - They price listed below is per person so you will need a certificate for 2 people at 2x the price. You have 90 days from issue of the certificate to book using the certificate or you loose the promotion. The amount you paid for the certificate then becomes basically a FCC for up to 1 year. At the end of one year the full amount if unused is credited back to your credit card. In our case they only charged us $250 pp and was told I could use it for any cruise of any length I booked a SkySuite and really didn't know if there would be additional deposit as my cruise was past final payment date and full payment due withing 24 hours. The benefits came through. One thing I learned is you can not book online using the certificate. You have to either call your agent or Celebrity as it is basically considered an existing reservation that you are transferring to a new booking. It will show up in your Current Bookings with a reservation number.
  9. Not any time soon. The Revolution is on hold until RCL revenues is restored. Two other M-Class (Summit and Millennium) had the revolution and had the Sun Deck installed and re-done Retreat Lounge. The M and S Class will never have the large lounge and sundeck like the E class. The footprint of Retreat remains the same but is a lighter brighter interior. Unfortunately the Kelly design gives you uncomfortable seating and poorly designed elements like table so small you can't fit 2 tea cups on them. Definitely many feel form over function. The sun deck has lots of seating 90% in full sun, an outdoor bar and a hot tub. Nice but no where near the size of the E Class.
  10. I've found that true on many of the ships. I always look in the hallway to see where the router is located on the wall or ceiling and try to get as close as possible in my room.
  11. Wonderful pictures of the rock. Surprised to see they no longer light her up. I think you get the best pictures of her on the approach. Nice job.
  12. Thanks for the review of Infinity. I've not sailed her since the TA April 2019. I enjoy the M-Class ships but I believe the S-Class (with the exception of Reflection) to be my favorites. This is mostly due to the Lawn Club and more selection of specialty dining. I have sailed Summit an Millennium (post revolution) in m-class since resumption of cruising and was not disappointed. I would sail Infinity and Constellation without hesitation.
  13. Curious if you booked a ride whether it would work better. I believe when you pre-book the driver knows your destination. We have had the same driver a number of times going to San Francisco Airport (about 40 miles north). She would accept rides to the airport that matched her commute to work in SF. I once had 4 cancellations on a ride south from San Francisco and finally chose a high fare (over $100) because of surge pricing. On the way home found that the problem was there was a huge crash and the highway was a dead stop and no one wanted to get stuck in the mess.
  14. Last time I used the form they responded in less than a day.
  15. In the past on the Black Friday sale and sometime the Holiday sails they have also had reduced deposit promotions. I know this was a number of years ago but they once had a $25 deposit sale.
  16. If booked with Celebrity you call in and they will adjust. If with an agent you need to call your agent. If booked with Celebrity you can also fill in the form below and email to bestprice@rccl.com https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/Best-Price-Guarantee-Form.pdf
  17. LOL --- oh dear, at least Iain being a Brit I may be partially trusted.
  18. Wonderful to hear. I don't drink alcohol but my partner does and being from California is a wine lover.
  19. I have to admit that I enjoyed the old days (OK i'm getting old) when you had Casual, Semi-Formal and Formal evenings. In those days I would bring Tux, Tails and often Kilts along. With airline weight restrictions that would be difficult today. Yes we mainly dine in Luminae but usually hit Murano and Tuscan a couple times per cruise. Our last cruises were about 40 days so by the last segment we were getting a little tired of eating. Luckily the Maitre de in Luminae is very accommodating and would have the chef prepare off the menu items for us as a surprise. As you know we are not big eaters and actually find that when an establishment piles food on a plate we find it more of a turn off than a bonus. I love the serving sizes that QG seems to offer. Probably the thing I like most from groryjm photos is the attention to detail and variety. Does anyone know if Cunard has a rotation of menus and how many menus are in the rotation?
  20. I agree I've chatted with groryjm for many years and really respect his opinions as well as all the others contributions. It's my first time on the Cunard board. I was surprised that Cunard doesn't offer a drink package and would be interesting if groryjm or someone else could publish a drinks menu just to factor in the cost of beverages. Also is Cunard totally al la carte on "perks" like Internet, tipping, etc?
  21. Yes Best Price Guarantee is still in place. It's helpful to read the fine print. As long as you find a lower price publicly available prior to Final Payment Date they will match the price.
  22. Looking forward to your Live Post. Hope the fog lifts and you have a wonderful sail away.
  23. As others said Celebrity has dropped testing requirements on September 25 except for two conditions. Celebrity also dropped the requirement that passengers are required to be vaccinated (unless required by countries visited). 1. If not Vaccination and on a cruise longer than 9 days then you need a unmonitored home test and you take a pictue of it. 2. If it is required by a country the ship is visiting.
  24. Interesting to hear. If the perks are greater than $100 per person you could cancel and pay the penalty and rebook direct with the agent. I normally just put the room on hold and then have my agent pick up the booking. Wondering if you agent has any web pricing that you could have Celebrity Honor under their best price guarantee.
  25. Wow... I'm wondering if the same applies to Uber. That's pretty bad when a driver cancels last minute.
