  1. With due respect many airlines open reservations 11 month prior to flight. Some actually open at 354 days ahead (Air Canada).
  2. Another option is a website called dayuse.com They have online booking of Day Use Hotels. I had to use it in Dallas once due the FLL being under water with the flooding. When I asked the Desk Agent at Hyatt about 1/2 day rate she said they didn't directly but if I booked with DayUse.com I could book a half day room.
  3. Yes but only if you are in a room between RS. RS and above have both Kettles as well as Coffee machines.
  4. I have a Ship Deployment Guide that was issued when they first started the revolution. They show the capacity of each category - The ship's maximum passenger count remains the same as it is based on life boats and certified capacity but a number of cabin were reclassified. That is one of reasons that Aqua Class is limited to 2X per cabin. The other is the capacity of Blu.
  5. Wow...Haven't sailed with John in a number of years. We have always enjoyed sailing with him. Please send our regards.
  6. As a pilot one of the per-flight checks is to do a weight and balance calculation. It's very important as if the plane isn't properly balance too much weight forward or aft could cause inability to take off or take off on too steep of angle causing the plane to stall. Part of this plan is calculating the weight of the fuel, baggage and of course passengers. I've been on a couple of commercial flights where they had to move some First Class Passengers AFT for take off but were returned to their seats after airborne.
  7. That is a possibility, I booked the cruise in February.
  8. Hmmm.. now thinking back about booking.. When I first booked the first leg was available as Port to Port but when I tried to book the two legs at the same time it would only give me the Door to Door. I contacted my agent and he was able to book the full cruise as Port to Port. Maybe he did it by booking Door to Door and taking Air and Hotel Credit. It doesn't say anything on either Silversea or my Agent's documentation.
  9. Thanks for doing you Live or almost Live Post. Looking forward to following along.
  10. I've bid on and won many Move Up bids. Value is subjective and prior to bidding I would get comfortable with what comes with each room classification and the current cost of the room. Remember the bid amount is per person and could be a way to move to a better classification cheaper than paying the current rate to upgrade. Like on airlines. Some may find value in moving to the Economy Plus or First Class while another may find it an UN-necessary splurge.
  11. They also post them outside Luminae for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  12. I think you will be ok especially if you keep you prescription in the original prescription bottles. Other countries like Singapore have similar regulations and I have never fill out the form their either. I chuckled when I saw that they also required it for Medical Marijuana. Recreational Marijuana has been legal in Netherlands since 1976. Last time there they were selling it on many shops on the main street and you smelled it everywhere.
  13. Eclipse has 1,440 cabins with a capacity of 2,880 with two per cabin. Legal maximum if all cabins with 3 and 4 Pax occupancy filled to capacity 3,148
  14. I did it recently and was able to check in our friends from Australia at the same time as ours. In reality I only chose the same check in time and then they went back in and put in their own details. In my case both reservations showed up on my reservation list.
  15. Looking forward to your posts Really will be interesting to hear how Eclipse stacks up against Silversea.
  16. I have seen the restriction of Flip Flops, Tank Tops and Golf Hats in all restaurants for all meals. The restrictions are strictly enforced but seems ok for women to wear the equivalent of a Tank Top while it is not OK for a man While T-Shirts are listed I've never seen them restricted and often wear them at Lunch. Official Policy from Celebrity Site - SHIPBOARD Throughout the ship, casual resort wear, sundresses, shorts, polos, or button-downs are appropriate, paired with sandals, low heels, and loafers. Make sure you bring active wear and sneakers if you plan to hit the gym! Poolside, bathing suits with coverups, T-shirts, tanks, hats, and sunglasses are welcomed. In main and specialty dining, we ask guests to refrain from wearing swimsuits, see-through coverups or robes, bare feet, tank tops, T-shirts, and baseball caps.
  17. Thanks for your post. Really enjoying your review. Glad you got to see Stonehenge. It truly is amazing.
  18. I had similar experience. Oceania swapped a port which I had booked a tour on. After two weeks it was not cancelled so I called. They asked me to call back in 2 weeks to see if it was automatically cancelled. Nothing. I called again and this time they cancelled and refunded to original form of payment.
  19. You have me laughing. We have a housekeeper who barely speaks English. Somehow we manage in SpanGlish. Lots of sign language goes a long way. My hardest task recently was trying to tell her were going to be away for 5 weeks but would she come and clean our house while away. I eventually drew a calendar with RED No and Green Yes. dates circled. A big smile and Comprende! While she may not speak English she is beyond the best housekeeper we have ever had. I can't imagine not having her and have studied some Spanish over the past 6 years and she has been studying English which is helping.
  20. Thanks.... I have to admit I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos of both ship tours as well as specific videos on the ship and Room we booked. I can't wait. I was searching for something special for 2026, as we are pretty much booked though 2025. I want to do the West Coast of Africa --- Or just South Africa. I did find an interesting one on Regency Seven Seas. They have one B2B - Capetown to Lisbon and Lisbon to Miami. Now have to talk Iain into it. I may have to dial it back to just the Capetown to Lisbon.
  21. I was just checking out a booking we have for our first Silversea cruise. Since it was cheaper for us to book air on our own (no hotel required) we purchased Port to Port. I was just looking at our reservation on SilverSea site and it suggests we have transfers included. Is this a mistake or should I call my agent to figure out. My confirmation from agent doesn't mention transfers.
  22. Had that problem but may TA was able to do something and join them. Mine made not sense as I was paying for both room on the same credi card, and both were in USD even though the other room was for my SIL/BIL who are from Scotland.
  23. I had an Uber Driver recently and he messaged us in advance letting us know he was hearing impaired and we could message him through the App. He was one of the best drivers we have ever had.
  24. The often are reserved when first released. Check back frequently especially near final payment date you will probably see some of them come back into inventory. Many still book them using Refundable deposits and then convert to a Refundable at or close to final payment date.
