  1. While there may not be any public microwaves available I know that in the M-Class Penthouse Suites there is a Microwave in the Butler's Pantry. An alternative may be something the nurses would put together for my daughter during her transplant. They would take a hand towel fold over multiple times inside a Plastic Ziplock - They would then pull boiling water over the towel and then wrap the Ziplock with another towel. It held the heat for quite some time.
  2. Celebrity "Generally" stays on the same time as the port. There are a number of ports around the world that the ship says on ship time. They will be communicated in advance for planning purposes. One that comes to mind is Newfoundland which has a 1/2 hour time zone. It was a little confusing with most partners having one watch set to Ship Time and the other to Land Time.
  3. Terry - Happy to read you are also trying out Oceania. We will be sailing on Regatta in September for our first Oceania Cruise. Already starting to get excited as final payment has been made and excursions and dining reservations have been made.
  4. We are not big Butler users but I have to admit we have had some incredible Butler's. An incredible Butler is very observant and give you as much space as you want but at the same time pick up on your personal likes and habits. One example is that my Husband drinks British Strength Tea and usually brings his own. The butler noticed the teabag in the pot and after there he had it prepped with Teatley British Strength Tea. Another example is that I had become extremely dehydrated and brought some VitaWater. Next morning the room was stocked with it. A final example on Celebrity where I'm a Zenith and unlimited laundry. At the end of the cruise he dropped by and said he would like to take all of our dirty clothing to be laundered and folded to make our packing easy. Something I would have never even thought of doing. It was indeed much easier to pack. No -- I don't have a butler pack or unpack.
  5. Curious is the norm for Conard to quote the price Per Person PER DAY on their upgrade program? All other cruise ships it is just a per person upgrade bid. I'm still 5 months before my first Cunard cruise.
  6. All you need to do is to write in your request. I often order things that aren't listed by just writing them in. Not sure if being in a Suite have a difference. You need to be specifice like 2 Non-Dairy Creamer, 2 Cream. I don't believe you need to ask for the type of sweeter as it comes with a selection. Also if he has a specific one he like and they carry it .... just pick up a small handful from OVC.
  7. Good to hear. I haven't had a stop in HNL for over 40 years.... Showing my age back then a 747 couldn't make SFO to SYD and required a fuel stop in either HNL or Auckland.
  8. If you cancel prior to 48 hours before the cruise, your refund goes back to the original form of payment. If paid with NR Credit it goes back to NR. From 48 pre cruise until end of cruise if you cancel withhin the 48 hour cancellation period you will get a refund back to you on board account. If NR Credit it will go back to NR Credit. If you paid with a credit card it will be refunded as a Refundable Credit that will go back to you credit card on file at the end of the cruise if not used.
  9. Having just been on Solstice I think I can definitively say --- Yes-- This is also true of the Edge Class ships. If you are full aft or full forward you will definitely put on more steps. That can also be a good thing. Also if you are full forward you have a long walk to the OVC.
  10. I think a lot depends on the demographics and location of the cruise. In my experience Caribbean and some Med Cruises can have an active night life. Alaska cruises due to the number of ports and early excursions tend to be very dead at night. Trans-Oceanic cruises can often be very quiet at night. I understand I'm being a generalist and each cruise defiantly have a different demographic.
  11. I don't lay out on the Sundeck but often walk through the area on my lap walking. I've often seen them bringing around "Snacks" in the afternoon - Generally Fruit Kabobs, Sorbet and Shooter Size Hamburgers. Sure others who have experienced can add in.
  12. Yes . They have an elevator. They also have a lyft to assist getting into Spa.
  13. The response time varies by the ship. On recent cruises I've fount the Retreat to be very responsive and if I call the agent would be able to look at my record and confirm that the requests were sent to the ship. I would try calling again and if they can't confirm ask to speak to a Supervisor.
  14. We just returned from a similar and longer cruise on Solstice. Possibly you would like to look at Solstice as theri cruise will be different. On our Cruise we did an overnight in HNL, and overnight in Hilo and and overnight in Hana followed by all those sea days to Vancouver. Agree with your opinion of the direction that Celebrity is heading.
  15. No. The refundable only covers you up until final payment date After that the percentage by number of days apply. You are correct the NRD really doesn't makes sense unless you know in advance that you are likely going to cancel. I've done it before when no suites were available and knew we wouldn't go unless a Suite was available. Usually it is a better option to purchase the NR and pay the $100 pp to change a reservation to a different cruise if necessary
  16. Really enjoyed following along. Your photos are incredible and bring back so manly warm memories.
  17. Safe travel home. Really enjoyed following along with your travels. I grabbed a virtual Lemon Tart yesterday.... just wasn't the same.
  18. I may be wrong but I believe you have to go through a couple screens before selecting a time. I believe you have to put in name, address, passport etc. I'm sure others will correct me if I am incorrect.
  19. yes --- it is one of the item on the right hand list. You can just click it and it take you to select a time. Nothing else has to be filled in to select a time.
  20. As others have said - I doubt any cruise line will answer visa questions especially if requesting information about a relative that doesn't hold a U.S. Passport. One site you may wish to check out is https://www.passportindex.org/travel-visa-checker/ another reliable one is https://apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions They are a site for obtaining visa's but will give you an idea of requirement. The second one correctly noted for example a Brazil Visa is not required until April 2025.
  21. My experience is you have to either connect the reservations using the Website if you control the reservation or call you agent and have them join the reservations. After joined your reservations you should be able to access both from your primary reservation. I was able to do this with friends from Australia. I even checked in for them with check in opened so we all had the same checkIn time
  22. I also rarely get local currencies and can advise that the exchange rate on the ship is really not good. You would do much better just exchanging it at a local currency dealer. As above in the cashless world of today I usually just use ApplePay and tip in U.S. Dollars. I've noticed that the majority of the tips given were in USD, UK Pounds or A$. They are grateful for any tips as tipping in many Asian countries is not the norm.
  23. Personally I use a combination of both the App and the Website. The app is easier to just go in and grab a check in time without going through multiple screens. Yes you can check in all the guests but have to select a check in time for each separately. We also were linked with friends from a different country and I was able to select checkin times for them that were the same as us. They were able to come back the next day and put in all their passport, cc and details. I also find it easier to use the App to scan in Passport Information as oppose to entering it manually. I like to use the web app to add the pictures as I do it from pictures we have stored on my pc. You can use either to revise information at any time up until 48 hours prior to sailing.
  24. I think you can get to it by approaching from the deck below and taking the spiral staircase up from the 2 MDR's on Deck 4- you exit right at Blu and before Eden
