  1. Sure, let's go with Mike the Mysterious Dude! Does this forum let you change your screen name? Honestly, it was probably b/c I was with the extended family. My wife and I have chatted with strangers in the DL many times over the years (while it was still open bar) and someone I "met" in a roll call once wound up joining us on an independent excursion I had found. I am introverted but not painfully so. Also, given the amount of free alcohol that comes with a suite combined with Diamond, I was likely more social than usual on that Harmony cruise. 😁
  2. That was my guess. Thanks. I still like to pop in and check out the hors d'oeuvres. I know many people don't like them but I'm not picky and I find some things I like on certain nights. Plus I'm on the Ultimate FREE FOOD Dining Package most of the time. 🤣
  3. Indy question... does the DL have a full bar or a limited cart like back when there was Diamond happy hour with open bar? Not a big deal since I can grab a voucher drink anywhere, just curious. Was only on Freedom class once ever and that was years and years ago.
  4. We had early seating in the MDR and the family chose to eat there for the last 3 nights for various reasons so I was definitely in the SL by 4:30 to grab a drink and check out the apps those nights. It could have been one of those nights... or I could have been wrong, in which case good thing I didn't say anything. 🤣
  5. As someone whose wife is a teacher and thus ONLY cruises when kids are out of school, maybe I'm just used to it but it really doesn't bother us (generally speaking, obviously those elevator antics would piss me off). Our opinion has always been that the kids congregate in areas that we don't so it's not that big of a deal. We never go to the main pools, only the Solarium. We don't go on the water slides. We spend time in the DL most evenings before dinner (yes kids are allowed but we don't find many causing trouble there). Don't get me wrong, if our schedule was more flexible, we would likely sail during other times of the year as well for various reasons (price being a huge one of course). Not here to convince anyone that having tons of kids onboard is something we look forward to, lol, just figured I'd share a slightly different take.
  6. I didn't realize I was owed a block for crossing 140 until I get home and read a thread about them. I knew they existed but never paid attention to the details. You can try calling if you like. If you read my post above, mine should be on its way... in 3-4 months.
  7. Thanks, enjoy Maine! Oatmeal sounds good, Maine seafood sounds better! I think I saw you in the Suite Lounge one night actually but I'm fairly introverted in real life so I didn't stop to say hi. Sorry. Next time! My generous in-laws loved the suites so much and saw everything Wonder has to offer that they surprised us (well tried to) by already booking another family cruise for next June! As for the crystal block saga... It's amazing how drastically the experience can vary depending on what phone rep you get. When I asked the woman today if I could please have my Harmony block mailed to me, she immediately said "no problem, let me bring up that form." She took down my info and repeatedly warned me it could take 3-4 months b/c of supply issues. I took the survey after and gave her a glowing review just b/c it's (unfortunately) so refreshing to get a rep that knows what they're doing in addition to being fast and friendly.
  8. I'm on hold waiting to ask for mine (again) right now, lol. You could get it for me. I'll trade bananas!
  9. It was being served by a crew member on the Harmony 5/29 sailing.
  10. Not in my experience, but one of you can purchase one day with your discount (either free or upgrade to stream for $7 or whatever) then the other can use theirs to purchase a rest of cruise package. This is what I have done in the past since my wife and I are fine sharing one account.
  11. Not anymore. We used to go to more shows & events and would see the CD more often, not that he played a huge role anyway. I couldn't tell you hardly anything about the CD from 2 weeks ago. There are always exceptions of course. The CD we had before that was very memorable, not only b/c we thought he was great, but we knew he lived very close to us and my wife actually had a connection to his family outside of cruising. That's a pretty unique circumstance though.
  12. Obviously I believed you guys over the phone rep but I was bored and wanted to be able to cite something if I decide to call C&A again. Never read the tiny print under the benefits grid before but found it... 4 A commemorative gift will be delivered to you during the sailing on which you attain your 140, 210, 280 and 350 cruise points and on every 70 cruise points thereafter. I'll see if I can get them to mail me my Harmony block. I have better things to do than bother with the LA on board next month... like eat & drink.
  13. What ship(s) have had pot pies? Not sure I've ever seen those. Would love to try them.
  14. That's very kind of you, John! I'll get back to you. Looking forward to hearing about your eating exploits on Indy!
  15. I know the phone reps are... ummm... I'll be polite and say "unreliable", that's why I asked. He was adamant about telling me I don't get it til the cruise AFTER 140 and it would be a Harmony block. Not a huge deal, but if I'm wasting any amount of time on this, I would prefer the Harmony block as it was a special family cruise celebrating some milestones as well as our first time in a suite. Oh well, thanks. The memories and amazing cruise are obviously more important to me than the paperweight.
  16. I didn't even realize I was going to earn a block when I crossed 140 on Harmony's 5/29 sailing (I knew we were getting 28 pts for quad points due to suite+covid promo but never really paid attention to how blocks worked). Called C&A the other day to inquire about it and was told I'll get the form offering me to get it on the ship or have it mailed when I sail Indy next month. From recent posts, sounds like I could have mixed results. Not high on my list of priorities, but does this sound right?
  17. No, you will not be considered Diamond until your next cruise.
  18. Yeesh. I guess when they build "cold weather" ships they really mean it.
  19. There are "fridges" but they're not as cold as your fridge at home and they are empty.
  20. That’s what I had heard. I read about Mariner moving on here just prior to our cruise & hoped it would help. Seems like it did. I’m assuming parking will be OK for my Indy cruise next month but only one way to find out.
  21. No guarantees but it’s lunch on the 1st day & sure seems to be there on many ships.
  22. Plenty of Terminal 1 garage parking around 10am for Harmony on 5/29.
