  1. Yeah, you might get some but will it effect your cruise? Weed smell, while annoying, does not ruin my cruise. Same with MDR. I am no foodie but I am sure you're grandkids will find something to eat. You check out the other forums (NCL, RCCL) and you will see people that are annoyed with those brands as well. If you got a good price, then roll with it.
  2. Kendall is fun. She's the most enjoyable CD I've ever sailed with.
  3. Yeah, that is not really new news. She did her little video clip about drugs etc a few months ago. I think Carnivals marketing team is just making press releases in hopes of better press coverage.
  4. I might sound like an old man at the ripe old age of 46 but I really think Carnival needs to make the under 17 curfew to 11pm.
  5. Yes, all locations will have tour companies. Boston and Portland have hop on hop off buses. Great way to see the lighthouse in Portland. Same for Boston. Just be mindful of your time in Boston. VERY easy to lose track of time and we've almost missed our return boarding when we spent too much time at Cheers. Bar Harbor has tours but there is not much to see outside of Acadia. But yes, there are tour companies there to take you to view spots etc.
  6. As a long time athlete, I've been very happy with Solonpas heat patches. I've tried all the brands out there and they've all been crappy. I get the ones without lidocaine.
  7. lol, my shareholder credit was denied this week because I had used an image from my cruise earlier this year and it was beyond the date. I think he said it needed show a date withhin 60 days of sailing. Thankfully was easy enough to generate new images from my investment account and sent those off. Took about a day to hear back.
  8. Glad to hear you got a refund! We were on Panorama for the innagural and had a room on deck 1 (or whatever the lowest passenger deck was). When we were going to bed around midnight, you could hear, what I am assuming was the staff lounge and their party. Music was LOUD. Our room was pretty much shaking.
  9. Great review! This should be a template that all reviewers should follow. Thanks for posting!
  10. Can you elaborate or direct me to a review? We were going to book Prima next year but may avoid if it's a mess. We were happy on Bliss and might just try it again out of LA. in the summer.
  11. I wonder if NCL has been hit by this because of their Free at Sea. The drinks were essentially comp'd so I wonder if these countries wised up so to speak and wanted to eliminate the NCL loophole.
  12. Seems like this has been going on for more than a week now. Has NCL coorporate made an accouncement? Is this the new normal? Here in California, we have tax on drinks even when we have a drink package. It's not bothersome really.
  13. Good for them I say. They are agents and have customers they must answer to. I think the video was very well done. They gave good examples of the problem and simply asked NCL to do better. In this day and age of poor customer service, I think it's appropriate.
  14. West coasters as well (San Diego). We enjoy Radiance. I actually like it better than Panorama. We were long time Imagination\Inspiration folks and was worried what would arrive after their retirement. We enjoy the ship alot and will be on it again next month. Tentaively excited for Firenze as well.
  15. LOLOLOL, I think you meant to say a couple hundred. No way a thousand passengers are fitting in the OL. To the OP though, I would agree. On our Bliss cruise the OL was a flop house. (I fell asleep in there too)
  16. Perhaps lost is better than going into the sea like I saw at the Long Beach terminal.
  17. So is it essentially the same design as MG and Celebration just with different decor and names of venues?
  18. "it seems to be the only NCL ship with huge observation lounge in the front," Encore is the sister ship and has this as well.
  19. Agreed. During the day we pretty much stay in the aft seating area. The ever shrinking main pool spaces are a feature I am not happy to see. Evenings on Radiance are pretty much spent near Alchemy or the atrium unless something comes up.
  20. Although not an option, I would choose "Same". I would say perhaps worse only because of increased drink package prices and crowds (ships look waaaayyyy overbooked). On a positive note, I appreciate the statements regarding shipboard behavior and the expanding fleet. I hope to try Firenze once it arrives. We are on Radiance again in a month but after that, we are going east for another NCL cruise or perhaps back to the Med for a land based vacation. *Although Navigator of the Seas out of San Pedro looks enticing. It's been years since we've been on RCCL.
  21. I am in no way a big drinker but I can hit 15 pretty easy on a cruise. As others have stated, I can start with mimosa's, screwdriver or bloody mary and can hit 10 by dinner.
