  1. BTW, I have confirmed with corporate that the Inaugural will be the 1/27/24 sailing directly from Bayley's office.
  2. Which we know to be the end all in opinion don't we. I've watched tons of You Tube reviews that say they are quite popular not to mention my own on Edge last year. I'm not worried at all, I'd book one in a blink. I loved all the automatic window blinds and so forth. And not having to deal with humidity. But thank goodness there ARE those other options. Personally, as I said earlier, we're going for the Panoramic cabin with fixed floor to ceiling on ICON.
  3. Was that a nasty retort or just an attempt at humor, if it was I retract my earlier comment.
  4. Just reveived word from my corporate contact: Official inaugural is "๐Ÿ˜Š Anytime. You're so sweet and funny. Had me in stitches. And the date is 1/27/24. "
  5. I'm not sure I can fly with your supposition Ken. I'll wait and see what I find out from my contact.
  6. I've got my feelers out. Talking to the head of marketing at RCCL Miami. Waiting for her to tell me which date is the Inaugural.
  7. I would love to be there for inaugural simply because it is so much fun and you get a lot of junk, photo books etc....but it doesn't matter to me as long as she is spanking new anytime from Jan 24 through the first 6 months or so will do me. You're right I guess, we may not know for a while which sailing is the inaugural, but it's almost always the first revenue sailing after reaching home port. So we can inquire about when that is to happen for a clue. The bookings should reveal a lot on Tuesday. I remember watching every Oasis class to sail into Ft. Lauderdale or Miami with the tugs spraying water, Coast Guard etc...lots of fanfare. That's what I would like to do, but no worries, I just want to be there!
  8. She will never be docked in Southhampton, that is the point. Her home port is Miami. She was scheduled to do media reveals in Southhampton, not home port there. That was never the case. She was supposed to be there just long enough to get everyone interested in booking her....out of the US home port of Miami.
  9. In post 27 you were quoting shopaholic, I took it from the quote you had reposted didn't mean YOU said that. Sorry.
  10. But they couldn't actually open bookings on Tuesday right? THey'd almost have to already know when the inaugural is , everybody will be keen on that.
  11. Not at all, because we happen to love the whole fleet and don't mind repeating...what is your problem? You do you, I'm not criticizing you, just saying I wouldn't drop RCCL for such a silly reason, IMO And don't bother I"m done with this.
  12. Yes, I know, I've sailed them..............................But I'd never drop a cruise line on account of that. We consider the Caribbean our second home. Have done 27 cruises so far most in the C. and Alaska. Multiple times on the same ships.
  13. I can see scenes from Coco Cay and other destinations being shown whilst you enter the ship, it's the WOW factor like Rising Tide used to be. Ewww hope we all don't trip and fall down the stairs while ogling the scenery...LOL
  14. I'm good with it, we booked Wonder at around those prices. We'll save $$ for a year and pay it off, no worries!
  15. Wow! That's the only reason you'll never sail RCCL again? Seriously! Because you saw something put out by Michael Bailey 2 years before the ship even debuts? Again... WOW I hope you find one.......
  16. They still do, but mostly for agents and media, usually 2 day sail to nowhere circle quickies to debut the ship. I will bet they will with this ship as well. They are usually a few days or weeks before the "Inaugural". So as to get more agent bookings. I've actually attended one.
  17. I see posts from you Brits on here every day who routinely sail from the US. So what makes this ship any different?
  18. You don't have to be. I'm 72yrs young and I love everything about her. I intend to dangle from the anchor and ride every slide I can haul my big azz up to! I will love sitting at the bar in the swim up pool! Love looking at the aft wake from the Hideaway! Or sit in my Panoramic View cabin and just watch Big Blue without the wind and humidity! I love the placement of the mostly kiddy corner in Boardwalk so I don't ever have to go there unless I want to. I love the new Aquatheater concept because its covered from the weather, shows will not have to be cancelled and in the daytime whilst the kiddies are in Boardwalk, I can be in here! I love that they still have an all adults pool topside...still have a Diamond lounge, still have Central Park with all the birds and trees whilst listening to a string ensemble, and I still get to watch my fave ice shows! And I'm so excited to experience the new propulsion system and happy they have utilized new technology to get pristine water out of sewage! Woohoo! Can't wait to hear what kind of new and innovative entertainment will be added! It's obvious to me they are trying to accommodate every demographic. You can chill out and move slow in plenty of spots on this ship and be perfectly happy if you are no longer active. I'm thrilled with it! Can't wait till Monday evening to really explore all my options! Kudos to some very inventive designers RCCL! The truly "ship is the destination" !
  19. Matt said it would not be a paid venue on his blog and he oughta know.
