  1. I'll be watching sailaway Radio! Yeeha! Wow what a dreary day, but any cruise day is a great day, right?!
  2. I already tried that, waited for a couple weeks with no results and my up bid was by $25pp. Finally gave up and canceled our bid. I'm happy with the location we're at, central just off the Centrum within steps of R Bar...all is well. And I have more $$ to spend.
  3. The whole point is this kid wants to go by himself with no one 21 or over anywhere on the ship. THAT is not allowed as PCUR points out. And some cleaning supplies seem to enjoy being nasty, it's inevitable. And yes, said supplies are still on my ignore list, so probably shouldn't even go there.
  4. Chops is my least favorite right now. For a really upscale dining venue I recommend Park 150, for a fun time-Izumi's Hibachi show. Lately, I loved the Ahi Tuna appetizer (nobody else seemed interested at our table so I ate the whole plate!) 🤫 in Giovanni's along with the filet and Pork Belly. And the Osso Bucco is pretty good also. Last time there they did not offer Lasagna.boohoo
  5. I provided my Hubs document on our first cruise with Royal over 25 years ago....she didn't ask for it, I shoved it over the counter at her and we have never been asked to provide it again, don't remember if they photocopied it or not.
  6. You'd be surprised how many times you were within a few feet of sharks on the beach on your many cruises. If you go in the ocean, they are there. I had a shark fisherman down in Cape San Blas, Florida tell me, sharks ALWAYS patrol the sand bars only yards from the beach. They are not really that interested in people, but there is always a chance they will bite. We were very careful not to venture beyond the first sand bar after that. Some have probably looked twice at all of us! He ought to know, he catches a couple every day. He was pulling in one about 15' long when we stopped to watch and talk to him.
  7. And that is incorrect information. You can request the same table and wait staff every evening in MTD. You have to wait to be seated only on first evening.
  8. I'd put my money on NOPE. No cancellation just change in itin if any. We've come close a few times and nothing much happened, maybe a reverse itin but never cancellation.
  9. Exactly. I am pretty easy to please though. Anything but gristly meat, can't stand chewy meat. Trying to think of a dish in MDR that I just detest.....mmmm....really can't pinpoint one. Bottom line, I don't expect a 5 star meal so I am satisfied... mostly. I think Celebrity is only a tad better. Carni wasn't any better at all for me. Can't speak for any other line. Maybe someday...now that we are D+ and there's no hope of making Pineapple. There are things that I look forward to having over and over. The Caesar salad for one and the rolls for another. And the lamb, duck and Pork chops...mmm.
  10. Not for us. MDR is totally adequate and some selections are heavenly IMHO...to each their own. I have been perfectly happy with the food on RCCL for 25 years, albeit quality has diminished somewhat. Just don't think paying extra will get you much, but I enjoy the food in both MDR and Windjammer. Food is highly subjective. Glad I don't have your high standards. Happy dining.
  11. You know you can get a private lesson for her for much less than the Key fee We gave our Grandson one for his BDAY on Freedom once upon a time.
  12. Priority access into the terminal (within booked arrival time) on Day 1.This means absolutely nothing because we all get that (within booked arrival time) Carry-on bag drop off and delivery to stateroom. Drop-off your carry-on bags in the Main Dining Room until 1:30pm. We pay a porter $10 for the same thing Private time at onboard activities including Rock Climbing, FlowRider and more.NAH! Priority departure at tender ports of call from ship-to-shore. Uh ugh Exclusive welcome lunch in the Main Dining Room featuring the Chops Grille Lunch menu. OK Maybe but you can get this for $21.99 Seats in the exclusive VIP seating section at shows in the Main Theatre, Aqua Theater, Studio B and Two70 (reservation is needed). Already got that as D+ VOOM ® Surf & Stream 1 Device high speed internet. Already got that as D+ On debarkation day, enjoy an exclusive à la carte breakfast and choice departure.Again
  13. Never understood the benefit from Key. That's $16.99 per person per day so a total of $237.86! Egad, what is worth that. Checking it now, they take care of your luggage you get a lunch in the MDR which is just standard fare and VIP seating in the theater (The only place to use it on Grandeur) The rest of the stuff listed I wouldn't give you 10 Cents for. As a D+ we get almost all of it anyways. Our offer on Grandeur for it is $22.99 pp per day! Even worse. Well, whatever floats your boat!
  14. No wait, I think it was 50 cents a week for that little blue ticket they punched!
  15. Depends on your age and where you went to school! LOL Back in my elementary days, Santa Rita cooked all food on site, complete with hot homemade yeast roles, 2 choices of meat and 2-3 veggies plus the best little square of cake you could eat...all for only 50cents a meal! My mouth waters even now! We used to get 2 rolls and smother them in butter and throw packets of sugar on top, they were so warm and fluffy and killer! Gone are the days!😭
  16. Exactly as the sides are exactly what you'd be getting downstairs! So who couldn't afford to offer steak for $15 more.
  17. No no no, what you meant to say is she feeds her family on $50 per meal just outa the grocery!🤪 WE can barely feed ourselves on what they're charging these days. My weekly grocery haul is triple what it was 2 years ago. I worry for folks who can't even afford burger!
