  1. Hopefully we'll hear something this next mid week, we sail Monday next. But we'll be out of pocket until then, doing business along our route. Our bids have all been weak. But we won the first one we did. Seems like we found out the week before then too.
  2. We've only done 1 B2B both short cruises, but we were all herded into the hallway adjacent to the boarding ramp, nobody came to even look at us and then after about 10 minutes told we could return to ship. Course that was way pre-covid.
  3. I count on Hubs as he knows every time our CC gets charged automatically...no joy yet! But he's caught me a couple times....LOL
  4. Someone said incessantly checking the app for your room # is easier so that's what I've been doing.
  5. Heck I'll wait until after dinner to unpack. I have already bid and canceled on this cabin 3 times already, so when we were still eligible to bid today, I entered another bid. So this is as hopeful as I can get since we leave on Wednesday to go down to Galveston. Fingers crossed.
  6. Been waiting for 2 months now ever since I bid. But no joy! Yet! But there are tell tale signs. For instance on my upcoming Grandeur, there are only 7 inside cabins left at all. All categories sold out. I bid on a Spacious Ocean View cabin and those haven't been available since before I bid...so obviously all 16 of these rooms in the center of deck 7 & 8 Port and Starboard were given to the Royal Up program unless some were previously booked. That leads me to believe I have a chance of getting one since my bid is still in the cancel/modify status. But it's next week. Hope I find out soon. We leave for southern climes on Wednesday.
  7. These are usually posted at the very top of their main web page with an Exclamation point. Of course your family will receive an email if changes are made prior to boarding. You can also go here:https://www.cruisetimetables.com/ to see if the ship is listed as being in port the day of. Or just follow the ship here: https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-12.0/centery:25.0/zoom:4
  8. I highly doubt any lard is used, I would bet on vegetable oils or nut oils.
  9. You won't believe it , but my favorite is/was the Coconut Creme Brulee and the sugar free Coconut Cake, neither of which they serve any more 😭I guess the regular Creme Brulee is now my favorite. And of course I can't resist any of the Chocolate Strawberries!!!
  10. I actually have a Royal Up offer submitted for one of these, but we'll be happy with the deck 4 as well. Only bid up $30pp. Our only other experience with Royal up was bidding the minimum and we did win the bid, however, didn't like the location of the new cabin. We'll see how this one goes.
  11. At $58.99 pp for the Beach Club day pass, which is what I paid for our 2021 Allure cruise, we could afford that and it was almost the cheapest thing going on CoCo Cay, now nothing is so cheap. We will just enjoy the Lagoon pool and the ocean thank you. At my age, (72) who needs climbing up 10 stories to take a 30 second slide, or a drones eye view of ....nothing but water on a balloon? If people would just stop paying these prices, they would have to be reduced. If we could get the same price we might consider the beach club again.
  12. We are in a ocean view with large square window on deck 4 right off the R Bar. First time for that category for us. Really curious about how we will like it. In years past we have found we use the balcony less and less, last couple cruises hardly any...so we though it might be nice to just look out at the water without have to open those heavy sliding doors and the heat etc. Anyways, we'll let you know how we liked it. Grandeur also has an ocean view cabin in center of ship with floor to ceiling windows only , no balcony that I would like to try as well, decks 7 & 8.
  13. The crispy LOBSTER sandwich at Beach Club is even better, but not worth $160 pp?😮
  14. That would never bother me, as a rule, they never even got cool.
  15. Once on Legend cruising to Hawaii, there was a lady in Diamond Lounge that had a reaction. She said it was because a tray had shrimp on it and also chicken or something and that her allergy was so bad she reacted even if they touched each other and she ate the chicken. It caused a big stink one night, tons of officers and the chef came up to the lounge...quite the kerfuffle. I guess if you're that allergic you should stay away from the buffet line.
  16. Look again...the ahi tuna is called Tonno Crudo Pork Belly is Pancetti di Maiale and risotto-Risotto Ai Quattro Funghi Lookin at my phone right now its all there. At least for our Grandeur cruise next week. I have had all of the above.
  17. Yep, has long been my suspicion! I just use the rash guard shirt and a hat unless swimming. Don't much care about my legs. Towel over them when lounging. Never had any cancer or suspicious skin lesions. And as for the SPF ratings, I've read many times that anything over 30 is just overkill. Many articles about how the ocean cleans itself. No proof the die off in coral is even related to chemicals. Mostly warming of the oceans which has always occurred over the melinia as well. Coral reefs are limestone, one of the most effective water filters known. In fact, all the limestone on the planet came from coral reefs. And the ole girl is still kickin after all these years.
  18. I love the Osso Buco, filet and the Pork Belly and will never miss the Ahi Tuna appetizer plate. Not much for pasta except lasagna which they don't do.
  19. Yep, for a lot less money, I like to walk on with my purse over my shoulder, easy peasy and since we check in on the first time slot, our luggage is always waiting for us at our door when the halls open.
  20. I see you've reached Virginia, just about the dregs of Tropical Storm Earl. He didn't pose any threat, so party on ya'll! Another depression is coming across which would be called Fiona if she develops. But they don't think it'll be a problem either.
