  1. This does not sound right at all... I can almost guarantee this booking would be cancelled if the system does not "see" it paid in full. That's an automatic thing...nobody pushes a button.
  2. They are open 24 hours. The only time I have ever heard of them being closed was during a covid outbreak on board. Which seems really strange in that keeping your laundry clean would seem to be a good thing as far as holding back the spread.
  3. Keep in mind that many people have posted here on CC that the refund checks DO NOT come from Princess! They come in a very non-descript envelope that can easily be mistaken for spam. Be very careful about tossing anything before opening!
  4. Unless you picked the Plus or Premium cruise fare...
  5. Nope...you must have run across a glitch while they were doing website maintenance or some such. I just checked this: On the Summary page click on "try our web version". You can *almost* everything that you can on the app. You can access your sailing from *either* the app or web.
  6. @angiepangie1 Welcome to CruiseCritic!
  7. I think @azbirdmom has nailed this... The same login credentials are *supposed* to work...but the app dev idiots apparently did not bother to coordinate the "rules" with the website folks! 🙄 A LOT of that going around!
  8. Exactly! This is one portion of your trip that should give you NO stress!
  9. As far as there being "fewer shows available..." no, they are not going to cut shows due to the presence of a group.
  10. There is no other location on board the ship that would accommodate that number of people...
  11. I cannot help you with question #2...but in regards to taking the physical vax card...I lump that into the same category as "Never travel without my passport". Why take the chance? It's not like it's going to be a heavy burden!
  12. If you are particularly partial to your own paddles then I would certainly plan on taking them.
  13. Keep in mind that as you get closer to sailing they very well could add additional seats/busses/whatever. Keep a close watch on any excursion that appeals to you.
  14. Double post... see replies in the other post.
  15. I REALLY HATE their "creative" way of showing your account statement. It is very confusing in my opinion.
  16. When you step up to the desk/counter to check in they will give you the medallion(s) as part of the process. It will NOT slow you down in any way.
  17. Sounds like you're between a rock and a hard place. Just curious: when you signed up on the waitlist are you sure you included your son? If you inadvertently missed selecting the box for him I imagine this is how the system would work. If you did...well then I *guess* they assume (without really "knowing" the details involving your son's age) that you would take however many seats happen to become available. Just a guess...I don't have a definitive answer but I'm just trying to view this from a "systems" viewpoint. Their aim is to fill that excursion.
  18. Even Carnival does not "match" loyalty levels within its own umbrella of cruise lines. Sad...
  19. They will give you the physical medallion when you check in. I would use it solely to let it open your cabin door for you as you approach. It really can come in handy for other things as well. This may not be the case...but don't confuse the physical medallion with the Medallion Class App. (Many people do...)
  20. My experience in cancelling something pre-cruise (usually an excursion) has resulted in mt credit card being refunded very quickly...3 or 4 days tops. YMMV!
  21. Perhaps you did not watch carefully...the couple was told (erroneously) by a Princess rep that they did NOT need a passport and that BC was OK. So...they went with only a BC and were of course, denied boarding. I generally do not watch the videos from the channel that I posted...I could not quickly find the one I wanted from Don Terris: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD_NNhcuXNE&t=6s Perhaps this one is a bit more clear as to what happened. It's ALL about trying to use a birth certificate. (The first one was, too.)
