Everything posted by July morning

  1. My grandson (4yr) was asked if he would like one from a lady on Britannia last year and he was very happy he got to choose which one he liked. He took it home and still has it on a shelf in his bedroom ๐Ÿ™‚ It was their first cruise and very excited about it all so much we're doing another in October again! I don't think they do any more harm than other things and certainly made our young grandson happy
  2. Thank you for posting your review, I found it interesting as I shall be on Ventura in October.
  3. Josy, you'll need to get an electric bike that'll help with any hills ๐Ÿ˜‚
  4. Shall be interested in your feed back on Ventura as we're on her in October and it's been a while since sailing on Ventura.
  5. I'm Caribbean and on our boarding pass it had 3.30 pm but we were on board by 12.30 and had the loyalty lunch in the restaurant with the drinks a nice way to start the cruise.
  6. I've chosen what I'd like to eat when will you serve it๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚
  7. Should have mentioned our five night cruise on Britannia had one formal and the vast majority were wearing "formal"
  8. Our cruise on Ventura in October for ten nights, it shows in my cruise information that it's going to be three formal
  9. We live in Scotland so it wouldn't be a cheap cruise after adding flights etc but I did do a 5 night with my daughter and grandson last year (it was a trial๐Ÿ˜‚) we drove down and had to add on hotel stops in both directions and just as well we did because the weather was terrible when we got of the ship. If I lived reasonably near the port you wouldn't be able to keep me off ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  10. It may depend on the childs age. When we were on Britannia in October with a 4 year old we didn't get a pager they just checked if you would have your phone with you.
  11. We were on Britannia for a five night cruise in October and there was one formal night.
  12. Josy, the scones look lovely. Peanut, sorry to read about your spaniel, hope you get the medication she needs. We have a cocker spaniel that has been diagnosed with a heart murmur that has gotten worse very worrying. When we put her to bed a couple of weeks ago we didn't think she'd make it over night but in the morning she got out of her bed wagging her tail ๐Ÿ˜
  13. Hope this happens on all the ships a step in the right direction for a change๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. In October on Britannia we boarded approximately 12.30 pm and had a loyalty lunch in one of the restaurants with drinks. Half bottle delivered to the cabin on the formal evening also drinks vouchers for a glass of fizz, one sail away and the other because there was no cocktail party.
  15. We had afternoon tea on Britannia in October. You had to book it, many didn't and just turned up and were turned away as it was limited availability. Not quite the as it used to be but still nice sandwiches and cakes ๐Ÿ˜Š
  16. Zapp, we were on Britannia in October and there were bananas (and other fresh fruit) available in the buffet. Seen people taking a tray and piling it high with fruit. It was a port day so I suppose taking it with them!
  17. Well my phone is far from being the latest technology but it worked ok when I needed it but we didn't bother to book mdr after the first night and didn't have to wait for a table (3) We did book for the afternoon tea on the first day as it said it would be limited availability many on the day didn't and got turned away.
  18. I don't post often but read all the new posts as I'm a bit nosy ๐Ÿ˜‚ I would like to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy and prosperous New Year ๐Ÿ˜Š
  19. When we were on Britannia at the end of October we didn't even try to take photos! Wasn't a problem taken at check in like it used to be, in fact the majority (that I seen) who had taken their own had to have them taken again.
  20. We've done both depending on which hotel we've booked and if it's a nice day. It's sometimes quicker depending on the time as there can be queues for the traffic
  21. I didn't have a suite but do have higher tier loyalty rewards and we had a lovely lunch in one of the restaurants with drinks. My daughter was travelling with me and she got included (we shared a cabin) we enjoyed it a nice start to our cruise on Britannia at the end of Oct
  22. The roads and pavements here are a sheet of ice. My husband took our dog out with out me, I was intending to go but didn't even get to the end of the drive! Of course there hasn't been a gritting lorry in sight. Tried to book a taxi for him as he's meant to meet friends at an indian restaurant for lunch (Christmas "do") and they're not taking any bookings before 1 pm shall have to look up buses that will be a shock for him๐Ÿ˜‚ I use the bus and complain constantly๐Ÿ˜‚
  23. Like you I wouldn't have it! When daughter told me I only tried it to humour her but surprisingly it goes down a treat ๐Ÿ˜‰
  24. Brian1, have you tried cranberry juice with your voddie ? When at home give it a try goes down very easily ๐Ÿ˜‚ our daughter made me try it!
