  1. It is a great room! We also like the Crown Loft, for the two bathrooms and location. Balcony is not as big but there are only two of us so we really don’t need the expansive OS balcony.
  2. Suites were so high when we booked it that we have 4 adjacent balcony cabins. They have more than doubled since we booked it. You are right, at the now price, we would not be going. mac_tlc
  3. No. Still had to make reservations. I miss that past perk. mac_tlc
  4. We were on Oasis last September when we booked this cruise. Between September 2021 and April 2022, we had five price drops. We started out in a Crown Loft and switched to an Owners Suite when the prices kept dropping. Overall, the prices dropped almost 20% in that timeframe. For the same week next year, the CL is about $1800 higher and the OS is almost $3000 higher. At those price levels, we will regrettably decline and look at Celebrity, although their 2023 suite prices are also up a lot. I guess fuel and food costs have to be covered somehow. mac_tlc
  5. Thanks for your review, it’s always interesting to hear someone else’s view. We were on the same voyage and share some observations. We were three decks below you in OS 10240. Fabulous cabin and quiet location. Would love to do it again but future prices are sooooo much more than we paid. We didn’t notice the number of kids as much, I heard there were about 400-500 or so. Where we did notice the number of people is waiting for elevators and in Royal Promenade. The wait for elevators was constant, going up or down. Seems many take the ride on the opposite direction of where they are going simply to get on. Often elevators on deck 17 going down were already full, when there is no deck 18. We ate in CK all but one night. I agree lobster night was the most crowded. We thought the service was very good and only slow one night, but I can’t honestly remember whether it was lobster night. We did plan to get off in PC to head over to our house in Orlando but the late arrival and then gangway problems means no one got off before 2:30. We skipped our journey and had lunch at Grills. Aqua80 is a fabulous show and we wish we could have seen it more than once but it’s packed! Phoenix is the best rock cover band I have ever seen, and saw them three times. Their show in the Royal Theater was fabulous. The other times I went to the Music Hall early and got a seat on the rail on deck 9. I do agree that, in general, the Music Hall is a horrible venue if you want to see anything. I would go on Oasis again just to see the Aqua show and Phoenix. We are scheduled to be on Oasis in August 2023 with the whole family and I am not looking forward to 2000 kids. But the port is so convenient to our home in CT. Wish future prices were more reasonable, suites are out of site all of next year. Overall, great time, and would definitely go again, just be ready for a lot of people. mac_tlc
  6. On Oasis last week, the muster stations were open as soon as they let passengers onboard. I think that’s the way it should be. We got on about 11, went directly to station and finished muster. We watched the videos while we were waiting to get through security. On Harmony last month, they opened at 12. mac_tlc
  7. Saw Aqua80 Tuesday night for the forth or fifth time. Still fantastic! I wanted to count the number of dives but I bet it was around 30. Don’t like Fine Line or Hiro — too much banging, dancing and not enough use of the fabulous Aquatheatre . My son commented when we left Fine Line last month “well, that could have been held in Studio B”. An exaggeration, I know, but his point is well taken.
  8. Diamond lounge is on deck 4. Nice space but no windows. Used to be on deck 11/12 with view of Boardwalk. We usually stay on the shop in Nassau, immediate port area in Falmouth is nice, we usually get off for a few hours, have to have a Red Stripe and a meat pie. mac_tlc
  9. Thanks! I was going to reply to the other post but not going to waste my time. At least Aqua80 is on the show schedule and we have reservations for Tuesday night. mac_tlc
  10. Don’t want to hijack Radios thread but we made it onboard. Left the house in CT at 8ish, arrived at terminal about 10:25. Since we have a handicapped parking sticker we used the garage. We are in a suite with an 11:00 check in, so we could go right in. Leftmost security line is for wheelchairs etc, took about 35 minutes to get through, partially due to an IT issue that delayed check in about 10 minutes. On the ship about 11:20. We did the mister while waiting in the e security line in terminal and the muster checkin locations were open when we boarded. All done by 11:25. Easy Peasy. Now in CK awaiting lunch! mac_tlc
  11. I prefer western also. Time to email Mark at Maya Chan and see if there is space!😜.
  12. I have not heard anything, but another poster @BennyBrun had a good point that given the ArriveCan testing/vaccination requirements in Canada, an itinerary change may not be possible. Can’t just go to US ports. It could be an interesting problem. I guess we shall see. On another topic, did you get the concierge email about show reservations tonight? mac_tlc
  13. Hmmm. Never thought of that. That adds a big wrinkle. I guess they can’t pivot quickly and head north then. mac_tlc
  14. I’ve been waiting for this one to pop up! We will be boarding Oasis on Sunday and are watching Fiona too. I really dont want to go to Canada…… mac_tlc
  15. I’m right there with you—- just want to get to CoCo Cay and don’t want to see Canada…… mac_tlc
  16. He indicated that the reservations that he could make there only open up a day or two before sailing and the times go quickly. We made our reservation, and a lot of days/times were already gone. Payment was credited as refundable OBC. mac_tlc
  17. Just off Harmony last month in Star class. The only reservations our genie recommended we make ourselves was Izumi Hibachi. He did all others, and changed them several times during the week for our party of 8. Mac_tlc
  18. Ugh! We will be sooooooo disappointed if it doesn’t run next week. They also had issue with the Aquatheatre on our May Oasis cruise. It’s really the only show we want to see. mac_tlc
  19. On our May Oasis sailing, I forgot the sunscreen and hats. Found everything I needed at the Surf and Dive Shop. Pretty convenient if you need something. Luckily, the Port Canaveral stop is before CoCo Cay ! mac_tlc
  20. According to Captain Johnny who probably knows more than we do, Oasis class always tries to dock starboard side because that side has the escalator and makes it more convenient to disembark and embark passengers. Biggest exception is when they need to run lifeboat drills on the starboard side, then they will dock port side.
  21. Just received response. Dining times all set. See you in the Suite Lounge ! mac_tlc
  22. Wow, I have been waiting almost a week. I’ll email again. The email they used was OA_Concierge02@rccl.com. Edited to Add: Just sent my third email — awaiting a response.
  23. I am having the issues sporadically on my iPhone. Just had the error message three times. BTW @Jerseygirl1416, I noticed you were on next weeks sailing and in a suite. So are we. Did you receive an email from the Concierge? I got one on Tuesday and immediately responded with some requested dining times— have not heard back. Sent a reminder Friday — still no response. mac_tlc
