  1. Current refundable rate is $18,090 with $1,200 OBC 😯 You got it at half price !!!😉 mac_tlc
  2. Our price was $8,225 for the Aqua Sky Suite for 2 with $1,200 OBC. As of right now, they are going for $16,175 with $1,200 OBC. We really enjoy the suites on E-class. For a longer cruise with a lot of sea days, we probably would not go unless we were in a suite. The Retreat Lounge is a great place to relax. We usually get a cabin near the front elevators so everything is close. DW has problems with a long walk, so the Sunset Suites or Sunset verandah would not suit us. We also like the larger room. I know a lot of folks say "we only sleep there" but that is not us. We use it a lot and appreciate the added space. The bed facing the ocean is a nice touch too. I just wish they would put a functional table on the balcony. I also like that everything is included and I don't have to think about it. mac_tlc
  3. I hope I am too! I will certainly miss Aqua80. Not at all a fan of Hiro on Symphony. In fact, at the prices I was looking at for summer 2024, we will definitely pass on Symphony. mac_tlc
  4. Don’t think that is correct. The day now starts at 5AM instead of 12:00AM. By the time you board you are within Day1, which will end at 4:59AM on Day 2. mac_tlc
  5. The suite price comparison are even more stark. Just can’t justify the Wonder or Icon suites vs Celebrity E-class. Frankly almost amy Oasis class suite price is nuts. We seem to be drifting more towards Celebrity .
  6. On Celebrity, you would lose $100 and the remainder is in an FCC. On Royal, with their recent change, you lose it all. We did a TA in Sept 2018 and it was in our top 3 cruises. mac_tlc
  7. Personal preference, I guess. I assume that for any future reservation I make, I am risking $100pp. I also assume that I would be able to use any FCC that I may get due to a cancellation of a NRD booking. Different NRD terms on Royal so I am much less likely to book far out with them now. Given my assumptions, which to date have worked out but you never know, I wouldn’t pay very much more to go refundable. Good to have options. Also, at times the AI rates can vary if refundable or non refundable. Doesn’t matter if you are in a suite but can matter for non-suite categories. mac_tlc
  8. Reflection is staying in Florida for summer 2024. mac_tlc
  9. Excellent! That rate didn’t last long! Aqua Sky Suite now almost $14,000 for 2. All Penthouse,Villa, and Royal suites showing as sold out too.Celebrity Suite now over $8,300 pp. I guess someone found it and “fixed” it. mac_tlc
  10. At this point, only Icon of the Seas is posted beyond April 2024. Rest of the Caribbean deployment is still pending.
  11. Looks like a funny price on the Ascent Fall 2024 TA. Aqua Sky Suite about $4000 per person, while Regular Sky Suite is $5800 per person. Celebrity Suite is only about $200 more per person than SS. So, of course I had to book it 😉😉.
  12. Four bedroom Villa suite on Harmony ——- Inside and outside.
  13. We have done Roatan several times, each time using Victor Bodden. They have set tours or you can construct your own. mac_tlc
  14. Here is mine. We had 8 folks ages 4 to 63. We had the 4-bdr Villa Suite. The cruise was preceeded with a few days at Disney. mac_tlc
  15. We have done a Sky Suite on Equinox, Edge and Apex. Here are some quick thoughts: Room - Like the sea-facing bed on E class. The overhang on deck 12 of S class is a concern if you want sun. I don't so it was acceptable. Retreat Lounge - E-class hands down. Size, ambiance, views. Equinox's lounge was Michael's and probably the biggest negative was that there is no view. Luminae - Prefer S-class because you have the MDR menus at your disposal. Our waiter gave us both the Luminae menu and the MDR menu every night. Retreat Sundeck - E-class many hands down. Bigger, has pool, has bar. Equinox was an afterthought, has no water anything, much less shade, and no elevator access. We also prefer the closeness of all the Retreat areas on E-class. Wife has some mobility challenges so booking a SS by the front elevators puts everything close by. I would book either class again without hesitation. mac_tlc
  16. Having the entire day at Port Canaveral (Orlando) is a big plus. At least folks can now realistically consider a theme park visit, albeit an expensive one. Or a great Space Center day, mac_tlc
  17. So sorry for your loss…😔 mac_tlc
  18. We are Elite and prefer AI. Have to tip anyway, we like having internet to chat with the kids and grandkids (and do the occasional "live" thread). Drinks for only 2 hours ---- and much of that time overlaps when we typically eat ---- is almost a non-perk to me. My wife gets her value at Cafe alBacio.🤣 mac_tlc
  19. We have done Star class three times and have tipped the Genie in cash. We have done the 2-Bdr Aquatheatre (category A1) suite twice, in August 2018 on Oasis and August 2021 on Allure. We have had 8 people. Total was around $15K. I will say that the current and future prices on Royal are noticeably higher, especially suites. Of course, depends on ship and date. For example, a 2-bdr Aquatheatre suite on Harmony in August 2023 is over $30K for 8. Don't even look at Wonder or Icon. If you see that price for Star Class again, grab it. I think they are going to be few are far between. mac_tlc
  20. Looks like only two of the six have left yet, Nieuw Amsterdam and Harmony of the Seas. mac_tlc
  21. I see on the Port Everglades web cam that you have not departed yet. In fact, all the departures from PE seem behind today. Any info as to why? mac_tlc
  22. I would love to see any specific survey they may provide to the test passengers. I am skeptical that they can get any definitive answers from enough passengers to make a decision without testing it for several weeks. Some folks have never cruised before and have nothing to compare it to. Some go to the MDR a few nights out of the week, some don't go at all. IMHO, it is about speed and $$ and less about any survey response. After all, they are clearly doing this to enhance the guest experience. They appear to have forgotten how to handle My Time dining and are probably getting a ton of complaints. Some version of the revised menus will be fleet-wide in the not-to-distant future. mac_tlc
  23. There are only two—- they are both overnight stops so it’s probably not as big a deal as it could be. mac_tlc
