  1. Think it’s too big to have any “new” itineraries. I’m sure it will sail full but I’m not sure we will be on it. Not all “families” like the same things. When our three generation group was on Harmony in August, not one of the 8 of us touched a water slide. Youngest kids could care less about the shows. Spent time in kids pool area and hot tub. If the Solarium had any water, we may have spent some time there. For the expected high prices and even more people, we will probably stick with the other ladies. mac_tlc
  2. My thought too. For our 8/23 Oasis the 9 day UDP is now $336. Two weekends ago it was $262. 3 night is now $113. Doesn't appear that the individual restaurant prices went up ——- yet. mac_tlc
  3. That would suck. I was lucky to find a similar bargain on the 1/29/23 Beyond sailing and that reservation was not cancelled when the prices went up $2K overnight. In fact, that final payment is due the end of this month. Let’s hope for the best. mac_tlc
  4. Glad lots of folks could take advantage of the great pricing! mac_tlc
  5. True! Two weeks later with the same itinerary a Sky Suite is $8300.😳 mac_tlc
  6. I did check that too! Was tempted to do the RS ! mac_tlc
  7. HaHa! I’ll meet you in the Retreat Lounge! mac_tlc
  8. We will go to Nachi Cocom in Coz, that’s probably it. mac_tlc
  9. I always kill time by checking cruise prices. Stumbled across some great suite prices for the 1/21/2024 Ascent sailing. Sky Suite for about $5,150 for 2. Week before and after are a little over $8,000. Similar thing happened when I booked our 1/29/23 Beyond sailing. Prices didn’t last long and soon went up several $K. I can’t figure out any rhyme or reason, so I booked it 😜. mac_tlc
  10. I really hate that you have to check out towels. I prefer this: A towel on every chair. mac_tlc
  11. Benny, Enjoy Phoenix in the Music Hall this week. We think they are fabulous. Last month, they had them in the Royal Theatre one night and that was really great. Enjoy week 2, mac_tlc
  12. Last few times flying out of BDL, they have not asked for the boarding pass, only ID. In fact the scanners aren’t even there anymore. In MCO, they did ask for and scan it. mac_tlc
  13. Got my 5 for Australia/NZ. Expect 3 for Alaska next month. Then I need 1 more so I can reach E+ after our Jan Beyond sailing. mac_tlc
  14. I love trying to piece things together as info begins to be available! Harmony in St. Maarten —- could that mean it will be moving back to Florida after a stay in Galveston? Would seem St. Maarten is a long way from Texas for a 7 day cruise. Interested in the Oasis class shuffle since Oasis should be due for drydock and supposedly will need to go to Europe in 2024. Don’t think the Freeport situation is any different. What may come to NJ? mac_tlc
  15. Very true —- it’s a tradeoff for sure —— with no wrong answer! mac_tlc
  16. With 5700 on board and almost no one on the pool deck, the interior spaces must be “interesting”! mac_tlc
  17. About the only “con” we noticed is that it is not on deck 17, as compared to a Crown Loft. We never used the tub ( or the bidet) and would rather that space be dedicated to a larger shower— think Oasis/Allure Crown Loft. We would do it again in a heartbeat, depending on price differential to a CL. mac_tlc
  18. We had a great time. Our first time in an Owners Suite and it was amazing! Finally got to see Aqua80 again, although it was so packed we only got in once. Standby line was useless. It is the best Aqua show IMHO. Only negative was that there were 5800 people. Nothing like May. I am beginning to feel like that’s too many people for me, even though it’s so convenient to go to Bayonne. Phoenix was onboard so all was good! mac_tlc
  19. We have cruises 9 times since the restart, four on Royal and 5 on Celebrity. Our most enjoyable ones were last fall when the occupancy was about 1/3, talk about being spoiled. Many of them were booked long ago, so, even though we were in SS’s on Celebrity and in a GS or above on Royal, the rates were “doable”. What has lost some luster to me is the 2023/2024 pricing. Thankfully we have 2023 filled out with sailings booked in 2021. We have also come to realize that if it is just the DW and me, we greatly prefer Celebrity over Royal—- just too many people on the big girls. When I no longer see lustre in this: I will quietly disappear into the darkness…… mac_tlc
  20. We have seen Phoenix on Oasis in May and September. They are fabulous. I will disagree with some that the Music Hall is a good venue. I think it’s cramped with terrible sight lines. Last month I went to deck 9 and got a seat at the rail, it was a bit better than deck 8. One night Phoenix was in the Theatre and that was awesome. Here is some Foreigner: IMG_1538.MOV mac_tlc
  21. It has been too long! Looking forward to following along. Great to see that Lucy has weathered the pandemic! Have a great cruise. mac_tlc
