  1. I of course meant for the TA to take over the booking. If you think the best way to do that is to start over and use a TA fine, but sometimes perks disappear and/or prices rise after the time of the original booking.
  2. They are only out of some brands of beer. 🤣 But with the others than being the only choice, they will probably run out of them also. 😢 But since you already paid for your drink package, they don't really care. 😒
  3. One more Copenhagen tip---Rick Steves has called The Little Mermaid the most overrated tourist attraction in the world. And I totally agree with him!
  4. Can you move the booking to a TA, and then have him or her deal with the errors on the booking?
  5. I believe the beach you referred to is in St. Martin.
  6. Good point, thanks. What prompted the question was when I looked at things to do in Geiranger, what mostly came up was taking a cruise in the fjord. I think the boars used were referred to as RIB boats.
  7. One thing to watch for in Copenhagen is that the weather changes. We stayed a day after a cruise, and when we left out hotel it was beautiful out, and we dressed accordingly. Later it changed several times including raining. We know we stood out as tourists the way we were dressed.
  8. Yes, I did call once and inquire whether 2 different excursions could be booked. If you took the start time of the first and then added the amount of time it said it would take, it gave a 15 minute leeway to the second excursion being considered. They said too close together. I expected that answer, but it cannot hurt to ask.
  9. We generally book the same excursion when we do book cruise line excursions, but I remember once when (not on NCL) we did different excursions at the same time. DW took an excursion that was devoted to photography (not my thing, but one of hers), while I had to find something different.
  10. Sounds like my DW. Once she found me when I took a misstep going fast and trying to catch up to her. She turned around and found me as I screamed because I broke my left ankle. 😢😢
  11. Or will there be independent tour guides ready, willing and able to to take you knowing a cruise ship will be docking? (Note fixed spelling error in title.)
  12. LOL, I do not need #4 for our cruise since none of the ports has as many as 12 excursion options.
  13. So they do not take into account say you have a short excursion in the morning, you might still be able to fit in a short afternoon excursion? And what if not everyone in the cabin is on the excursion? Still no other alternative excursions?
  14. Yes, and some of the sites are incredibly awe inspiring such as standing in front of the Acropolis or being in the Sistine Chapel. And there are many more.
  15. I'm not sure if there are any reviews at all for the excursions on our cruise this summer from London (Southampton) to Reykjavik.
  16. Actually, places like Italy, Turkey, and Greece are about a lot more than sitting on a beach.
  17. That sounds like a challenge that has not been accepted.
  18. I give up. I did all the research, and then DW found 5 art museums. I asked if they are open on Mondays, and she said what did it matter. I reminded her that we will be there on a Monday, and she still said what did it matter, we'd be there. We will celebrate our 46th anniversary later on that cruise, and I still don't understand how she or any other woman thinks. 🤦‍♂️
  19. If you are sailing in August and your husband cannot stand hot weather, that rules out much of Europe, including any Mediterranean cruise. Places like Italy and Turkey can be beastly hot in the summer. We actually had temperatures in the high 80s in St. Petersburg, Russia on a Baltic cruise in August of 2007!
  20. 🤣, at the reference to McDonald as it brings back a funny memory. We were in Paris on a land trip and DW cannot drink caffeine. So she ordered a decaf coffee at McDonalds, and was told "only normal".
  21. Yes, the Commissioner of Insurance in NY state does not consider cancelling for any reason as something insurable. OTOH, if you or the cruise line cancels NY state requires insurer to refund your insurance premium.
  22. Even more important, I hope they are the ones my art teacher DW would be interested in. Actually, for the most part I think they are.
  23. Actually, I did that earlier this morning. Some were closed, but others were open closing on Wednesdays instead of Mondays.
  24. You do not really need an excursion for Tallinn. We just followed the instructions in Rick Steves' Scandanavia book for a walking tour.
