    Good to hear you had a great time in Cobh and Kinsale. Cobh is always a place of merriment when the ships come to town, The Aussie Wc gets a great welcome and send off. Been in there on Oriana and Roysl Princess. Thanks for posting. Onwards !!!

    I read that Carnival in USA is not permitting pax on mobility scooters off at ports.

    Will NZ fork out a few billion $ and host the big sporting carnival in 2026? Good decision by Dan down in Vic. 6 billion to host is crazy.

    The oldies who wont get debit cards to hit the atm will have a problem, getting $20 out of their pass book accounts with Commonwealth Bank. No cash. Likewise my bank down here ANZ. Cash is King.

    Agree, HAL is overrated these day, they have dropped the ball. Our Noordam cruise Sydney to Honolulu in 2019 was below par, same issues as you reported.

    OMG, I had to crawl out of my death bed to reply to this thread, $79 for a bottle of De Bortoli Willowglen. $6 plonk. $15 at the Golfie. I am speechless. No way Jose.

    I have flown REX half a dozen times, Moruya to Sydney and return flights. From here they use their workhorses, the Saab 340, 40 seaters, most of their regional fleet. Quite reliable but restricted to 15kg luggage on the Saab and catering is a Bottle of water or tea/coffee and a Sweet or savoury biscuit.

    Agreed Princess ships are poor in their cheese selection. Best cheese offerings I have seen was on QM2: Quality and Quantity.

    P & O. UK play some serious cricket up top of their ships. When on Arcadia in 2012, Sydney to Southampton, I played cricket most arvos inc a test match Pax v Crew. I damaged my foot when I got smashed by a fast bowling Indian Waiter.😢

    Canberra would be a nice place to live. Good infrastructure, facilities etc. Good transport links, airport, train, buses. But I have been there 100 times and still get lost, lol.

    Done to and from Europe/UK/The Americas a dozen or more times, always a nightmare. England is great to drive around, inc Scotland and Wales. Time to watch the Ashes cricket, Geoff.

    Checked an hour ago she is plodding along at 15 knots. Often 40 bus loads of pax do the Petra shorex, plus as has been said, half a dozen crew buses. One of the highlights of the Worldy.

    Agree, $2000 is not bad. You need to fly to go somewhere decent. NZ and Pacific Islands get boring after a while. A lot of Aussies dont want to fly though.

    Looks like a pie/sausage roll warmer behind the bloke with cap on. Appears empty. Perhaps the Queenslanders ate them all lol. I can see some lamingtons in the glass case, but where are the pumpkin scones a la Flo? But good on them giving it a go, hope they make a quid.
