  1. Bottom line is the whole ship is anytime dining. 40% of the available tables at any given hour is available for pre-boarding advanced reservations. The remaining are allocated to walk-ups/no prior reservations. If you try to make advanced reservations and your preferred times are not available, that means all of the 40% has been taken, and you'll have to rely on walk-up. Even when we were given a buzzer it was only a 10-15 mins wait, and that was when the ship had just started with this procedure. By the middle of our 9 night cruise there was never a wait when we walked up.

  3. Here's an article from CC https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=2337
  4. I'm sorry but that's just not true. Carnival did away with tablecloths when they introduced the American Table concept. Hers an article about way back in October, 2015. https://mycruisestories.com/2015/10/30/carnivals-new-american-table-vs-the-traditional-menu/
  5. Always best to change your mobile phone settings not to set time and time zones automatically and the phone's time will stay on the correct time.
  6. The issue with this is communication. On the 10/26 sailing there was nothing in the cabin that communicated the changeover. And when speaking with employees there was no acknowledgement and apology for the change. It was as if what you previously reserved never existed. Employees obviously were instructed just to say 'you can eat in any dining room, anytime' and literally that phrase was repeated by all employees with no explanation on the change. An email prior to boarding communicating the change would have at least informed people of the change .
  7. You hit it on the head. The athleisure wear change from companies like Lululemon and Under armour and Nike have given men the options of pants other than cotton denim or khaki/Docker/chino type of pants. Clothing designated as Golf wear are the perfect choices for a cruise and the clothes themselves are comfortable, lightweight and pack easier.
  8. It's been that way for years and isn't new at all.
  9. Where did you hear that Celebrity is only doing once a day cabin servicing? Definitely not the case. Carnival, yes.
  10. The 11/21 cruise I was on and left yesterday as you got on is after the TA and I received the book as I have shown in the photo. And the special luggage tags. And the Rudi's book if you eat there. Edit: Are you not understanding I was on the 11/21 cruise?
  11. Ok so I'm relieved to see it wasn't just us that happened to. Our first two nights the app never showed waiting times either before reserving or after. Then on day 3 miraculously wait times showed up. It will be the same for you.
  12. Basically yes, that's how it went. It started with the 10/26th sailing. I made the post here on CC and basically no one believed me. One person thought I was making it up and thought Celebrity would never do something like that, which is EXACTLY what they did.
  13. I was on the Celebration Thanksgiving cruise. My 26th Carnival cruise, 101st cruise overall. I put the stats not to boast but for perspective. I enjoyed the cruise and thought the ship was even nicer than the MardiGras which we sailed on 3 times. If people read my posts here on CC you will know I point out both the good and the bad. I was on the Pride this summer in Europe for 32 days and felt that ship had issues with maintenance and food preparation. The Thanksgiving cruise was literally the second paying customer cruise and only the third week with customers. We had an amazing cabin attendant. We did 3 bags of laundry and each came back the same day. There were some service issues in the MDR. Cucina was very good. Didn't get a chance to eat in Chibang or P&A. Rudi's was excellent! Big Chicken was excellent as ever. So was Street Eats. Spa was great, as was the gym. Never s problem finding a lounger at Serenity. Main Lido pool deck was always crowded and noisy, but that par for the course on any Carnival ship. Was everything perfect, no. But for the 2nd sailing of this brand new ship, it was an enjoyable experience.
  14. You should do a comparison between Fortune Teller Bar and Latitudes Bar, which has switched sides and the walkway on the Celebration is a lot less cluttered.
  15. The food in Cucina is very good on both the MardiGras and Celebration. I've been on the MardiGras 2x this year and just disembarked Celebration this morning. I enjoyed the Asian selections at Chibang on the MardiGras (didn't make it on the Celebration) and Pig and Anchor was good, not great on the MardiGras (Also didn't make it on the Celebration).
  16. Who are these others? Chibang, Cucina, and Pig & Anchor have NEVER, I repeat NEVER required a cover on MardiGras and Celebration, NEVER. It's complementary for both lunch and dinner.
