  1. The invoice from our last 'free casino cruise'. Checkout the numbers and tell me this isn't a great deal!
  2. The pit boss will watch a new player for the first couple of rounds then enter the amount bet each hand into the system. At least that's how's it's supposed to work.
  3. Lyft in the Miami area is generally less expensive.
  4. You would have gotten much better responses if you titled your post 'Look how much money I saved booking a free veranda from Blue Chip Club' and writing from THAT perspective. Now it's just clickbait. 😉
  5. I'm glad you enjoyed one of the production shows. I'm curious though, what was it about about this show that was different enough that you enjoyed it? It's in the same theater, same performers, same high definition video screens, same high tech theater.
  6. You answered your own question. There is None. You have to put yourself in a precarious situation. It's impossible just to fall off.
  7. What's nice and different about the Cafe on Beyond vs the other E Class ships is the wider array of seating. The various tables are a great addition and we're very popular seating choices on our cruise. Having a table with electrical outlets was a great idea for those wanting to use their laptops for various reasons.
  8. That's the group who I was referring to when I mentioned seeing them both on the Summit and Apex.
  9. You're speaking from both sides of your mouth. What was the point of your post? Noone thinks there's ZERO costs to take a casino comped cruise, NO ONE.
  10. The Jazz show was quite entertaining but a bit of a misnomer since the music performed was mostly not Jazz but pop music done in a jazz style. Entertaining nonetheless. I'm wondering if BBE is the same group of guys that did the Boyband Project whom we saw on both the Apex and Summit. I had a nice chat with them and they are all from NYC.
  11. Does your husband speake to the casino host and ask if he qualifies for a free specialty restaurant for 2?
  12. Yup, you lucked out. Your cabin is a junior suite. We had similar good luck with the Luminosa TO Brisbane next September and got a spa cabin comped from the casino. carnival-luminosa-deck-plan-pdf.pdf
  13. You listed all the possibilities. No other way, PERIOD.
  14. If you Google Costa Luminosa cabin photos and/or videos you find lots of stuff. Here's one video. Just remember many of the public spaces have been changed. But the rooms will be exactly the same. Note the nice TV and USB ports in the night stands. https://youtu.be/aOXhcT2855Q
  15. Good to know, I've never really had the occasion to need extra keys unless I've lost one. Additionally I've also never had the need to switch around people in cabins, hence this thread. The benefits are really not the concern but just getting the couples together in the same room.
  16. There have been no changes to the Spirit Class spas so the locker rooms, steam, sauna, and showers are available to all guests. And don't forget the whirlpool in the middle of the gym(enclosed by glass)!
  17. Thank you for thinking that through. It's a rather complicated plan, though and neither cabin can currently hold 3 guests. I think the easiest thing to do is not say anything and just have my brother in law stay in my cabin and I stay in my husband's.. Maybe we will ask guest relations for one extra key for each room.
  18. Also the costs of building ships has risen so high that for mass market cruiselines like Carnival it wouldn't pay to build brand new but smaller ships. That's why they transferred the Costa Luminosa even though it's 13 years old. Sometimes there's a need for a cruiseline to have a few smaller ships to leave from less popular Ports and/or sail itineries where the giant ships can't get to. That's why every mass market cruiseline are only building large ships. The cruiselines that are building new small ships charge much higher rates per cabin, which changes the financials of building new small ships and sailing them profitablely.
  19. Costa has excess capacity and the Venezia and Firenze were built for the Chinese market. With China still having a zero Covid lockdown protocols no one in China is traveling. Carnival has been more successful with the restart. Carnival has gotten rid of several of their smaller and older ships. They can use more ships. So this is a smart more to reallocate resources from the Carnival corporation by shuffling around ships from the brands they own. Edit :It's a similar strategy when Macy's bought rival Federated Department stores and then closing some department stores but reusing some of the landmark and best located real estate for the Macys brand.
  20. It's great that they relocated 2 lifeboats on the Beyond where Blu is located which allows the views from the majority of the windows in Blu to see the ocean. I know that was a major complaint for many of the Blu on the Edge and Apex.
  21. You got a complementary Celebrity cruise from their casino department?
