  1. So my husband and BIL would have always included benefits regardless of which room they are staying at is what you're saying?
  2. My husband, who is Sapphire level with BCC, was given a comped concierge veranda with all included. His players club level gives him a free classic beverage and and premium internet. We added my brother in law to his room. This will be his 1st Celebrity cruise. I was given a regular veranda (Solstice Mexican Rivera cruise) no added perks and lowest level, Pearl, with BCC,so no extra benefits, but my husband and I are both Elite+. I added my sister to my room, who also is new to Celebrity. So if the room gets the benefits I would have my sister & BIL stay in the Concierge room to use the included benefits. But if the benefits follow the original named person then it wouldn't matter who's in the Concierge room and my sister would share her husband's always included benefits in either room. I think I'm overthinking this 😁
  3. The short answer is no, it's not worth it. But you're comparing 2 totally different cruiselines. According to your signature you're no stranger to what a Princess cruise represents, so how was your past experiences on Princess compare to your Carnival cruises? Are you looking for a high energy cruise or a calm, relaxing cruise with an older demographic?
  4. We have 2 rooms booked with a BCC offer, one has all included, the other doesn't. We want to switch 2 people from one room to the other. Will the all included benefits move with the person booked or do they stay with the room? Edit: We were planning on notifying Guest relations of the swapping.
  5. I hope my post didn't dissuade you from expressing your opinion. I never meant for my post to cause any controversy and I apologize if it did. I enjoy reading your detailed trip reports and hope you view my posts just as an alternative viewpoint on something you said.
  6. The GENERAL policy is you have to be at a slot machine or table game and you MUST order the drinks from waiter, you CANNOT order directly from the casino bar yourself. Put in a $5 bill in any machine, then wait until you see a waiter and order your drink. Please be aware this won't be a 2 minute thing, you are going to wait at least 15 minutes or more total before you get a drink. Much longer when the casino is busy. And not all drinks are available.
  7. Yes, you can also use the locker rooms which have a free steam room. There are separate locker rooms for those that have a thermal suite pass.
  8. Agreed and I would have asked to speak to a supervisor and insisted on being checked in now, not later. Period.
  9. Everyone is obviously allowed their own thoughts on things but if you read the reviews on Cruise Critic the production shows on the Beyond have gotten almost universal praise. The theater on the Beyond is the most technologically advanced cruiseship theater. No MSC theater has anything to compare.
  10. I don't think you're going to hear anything at 10:20pm on a Monday. 🙄
  11. Unless the principal performers were not on I'll have to push back on you assessment of Arte. I'm currently on my 101cruise and in my opinion Arte on the 10/26 sailing on Beyond was one of the best made-for-cruiseship production shows I've EVER seen. Puts to shane the production show on the MSC Seashore I saw in September. That truly was amateurish. Nothing made sense, the acrobatics were just thrown in there for the sake of it. My dad, who's 93,was blown away by Arte on the Beyond.
  12. No. It's all set up from the get go. Sidecar from The Golden Jubilee Bar on the Celebration, compliments of Drinks Everywhere on the ship.
  13. I'm glad you didn't take my comment as a snipe on you. As we here on CC know full well the E-Class has elicited lots of critical comments on it's interior as well as exterior design, so you're not alone in your opinion.
  14. It was purposeful for contrast. You may not like it but others do and most importantly the Celebrity management likes it.
  15. Nope, no card left in the room. So I had no idea until day 3 who was making up our room. Our cabin attendant didn't even deliver our Elite private party notice.
  16. I'll agree with you that in a hotel I don't need to know who the room servicers are, but a regular land based hotel is a bit different since generally most people leave their hotel room after breakfast and don't return until after lunch. A cruiseship cabin you can be coming and going many, many, many times a day since you're captive on the ship.
  17. I just boarded the brand new Carnival Celebration in Miami. Just like our 10/26 Beyond Cruise, this will be the Celebration's 1st US port cruise, and actually it's 2nd revenue cruise, after the TA. The official christening was yesterday. On the Beyond we didn't meet our cabin attendant until day 3. On this cruise, the cabin attendant knocked on our door about an hour ago, 12:30,and introduced herself and asked when we wanted our cabin serviced (Carnival cutback to 1x/day cabin servicing). There's about 2,500 passengers on board for this sailing.
  18. The new terminal F at Port of Miami is great. Separate queues and even separate security scanning areas. Lots of nice seating the separate lounge. And without the ultra high ceilings the terminal isn't an echo chamber like the new Port Canaveral terminal. That terminal, despite being a new build, isn't a very comfortable place to be in.
  19. I don't think they are. I think they're the hand held ones like in the cabin. No body jets like the Spirit Class ships.
  20. Yes, the locker room is available for all guests, whether you have a spa cabin or not. There's usually 3 stall showers, 2 regular and one handicapped. There's a small sauna and also lockers( good luck with getting the electronic locks to work. Lots of times they aren't reset so you can't lock them. Just don't bring valuables like jewelry)
  21. We've had this kind of experience prior to Covid on NCL but never on Celebrity. My parents had a better experience on this cruise with their room attendant on the same Deck but different area.
  22. We flew to Miami this morning to board the Carnival Celebration tomorrow. The flight from NYC had turbulence in several areas and landing in MIA was tentative and it was apparent that it was delayed about 30 minutes as we went up and down approaching MIA. It's been raining all afternoon and night here in Miami. We were going to go out of our downtown Miami hotel for dinner but as left the hotel entrance and saw the pouring rain we turned right around, had a drink in the hotel bar, and then ordered pizza to be delivered to the hotel. I've never seen it so dark and gloomy in Miami; the cloud cover was so low all afternoon.
  23. We were on the 10/26 sailing and it was very obvious our room attendant was new to his job. Didn't actually meet him until day 3!!! Our room wasn't serviced until afternoon. Towards the middle of the cruise he would see us going to breakfast but didn't take that as an opportunity to make-up our room. He kinda got our schedule on the 2nd to last day of the cruise.
  24. Enjoy! Great pictures. We're in a hotel in downtown Miami. It's been such lousy weather We were going to go to dinner 2 blocks away from our hotel but when we stepped outside and saw the pouring rain we turned around and ordered pizza delivery. We have a 11am check in tomorrow. Can't wait to step onboard the Celebration!
