  1. I think a good TA or HAL PCC should ask their customers at the time of booking if they might qualify for any of these promotions, and then advise on how to apply and use the credits. P.S. Farscape was awesome!
  2. I would expect a higher end restaurant in the US would whip their own cream and use a dispenser to give it a nice presentation.
  3. Most of our travel does not involve a cruise. In our experience, land travel costs have skyrocketed! Vacation rentals, hotels, meals etc. Service options are limited, including hours and days that restaurants are open, and how often hotel rooms are cleaned. We're currently in a small town motel that was $130 for the night. Very basic. No front desk person at all. You get a code to to input to access your room key. There is a phone number to call if you need assistance but no actual person on the property. Everything about travel is evolving.
  4. I think you would be very disappointed in the entertainment on HAL. I love their focus on music but there are no production shows (which are definitely not our thing). I was a teen in the 80's and the music is geared towards my age and older IMO. They do offer trivia and some game shows but in general I think it would be a bit sedate for you. Their food is good though and so is their service.
  5. I was skeptical but after doing some Googling I was very happily surprised! Thanks for sharing the information. I hope this covers Airbnb and VRBO too!!
  6. I think it would be fun to watch on a sea day afternoon but I'm easily amused.
  7. This is the summary we receive from our TA: Advantage Fares - No Perks Deposit is refundable until final payment. $100 onboard credit per stateroom from Military. $ 75 onboard credit per stateroom from Group Program. $200 onboard credit per stateroom from AARP Program. $400 onboard credit per stateroom added prior to sailing as our gift. Total onboard credit - $775 per stateroom.
  8. Although I don't think a 2$ difference in the deposit amount is noteworthy, I hope you find more happiness with Princess than you have with HAL.
  9. That's a smart way to do it! Then there won't be an issue of making sure the dining credit is used instead of being charged.
  10. @Florin were you ever given a reason why you were moved from your original cabin?
  11. 3* mariners receive a 25% discount on the Sommelier Suite wine package and 4 & 5 * receive a 50% discount. For us, that makes bringing on our own everyday type wine less attractive.
  12. The difference being that the cruise line only provides the space for the other religions, not an officiant. This change will open up new choices for those that chose HAL solely due to a priest being on every sailing.
  13. Yes but they are only about half way there https://cf.yb.tl/r2ak2024
  14. But that is probably not what happened here. If it was, why wouldn't the larger group have been put in the larger family cabin? But I agree this is awful. This is a case, in my opinion, that deserves financial compensation.
  15. Only if you are in a Neptune or Pinnacle suite.
  16. Our TA takes care of having our AARP and veterans obc applied to our bookings. I handle the CCL obc myself.
  17. I haven't had any issues making our HIA reservations online and receive email confimations within a minute or so. I have never called to make reservations.
  18. In theory, yes. As long as a tag is still available for the time you'd like. With CO you don't really pick a time. You still get a luggage tag, black from what I remember. You can leave at anytime (within reason) because your luggage is offloaded with the first batch.
  19. Hmm, interesting. No time or the normal color group. so I would guess time tags are still going to be needed.🤷‍♂️
  20. I've read about that. Do they have times on them? If not will there be separate time tags then?
  21. That's true as long as you pick up the luggage tags before that time slot is filled
