  1. That is so frustrating! That sees to be an ongoing problem for many people. I don't understand why this is such a big deal for the IT dept. of HAL to figure out these log in issues.
  2. It could also be that only double occupancy cabins are being shown, not triple and quads?
  3. Once you log in on the website, go to Manage Your Booking, select the cruise and then under Extras you can purchase the OBC. I can't provide a general link because you have to be logged in and purchase thru your booking.
  4. We found that $50 credit shows as available on your account when AARP is verified. That is just a default amount. In our case, after the correct $200 amount was applied to our cruise, the $50 available credit no longer showed in my husband's online account.
  5. The higher cost packages don't provide more speed, there are just fewer types of sites that are blocked. https://www.hollandamerica.com/en/us/onboard-packages/cruise-ship-wifi
  6. What tour company was this? It would be nice to know who to avoid if I ever need a guide in England!
  7. I enjoy these too. Hearing about the different areas of the ship and the responsibilities that come with working in those departments is very interesting.
  8. Thank you all for the information. November it is!
  9. Does anyone have any insight into when the offer will be extended past the end of 2024? Thanks!
  10. What was it that you didn't care for on your last HAL cruise and how long ago was it? Here is an excellent, recent Live From report
  11. I guess that makes sense if it was bought separately. Just like a separate shore excursion or dinner.
  12. None of it would be refundable at this point. I think the only thing you can do at this point is ask your TA or HAL and see if it would be possible to drop the HIA and pay for a cabin upgrade but I'm not optimistic.
  13. Our 18 day Chile to Tahiti cruise with overnights at Easter Island and Bora Bora was my favorite cruise! We enjoyed our time on Oceania, the many sea days were enjoyable with 2 or 3 lectures each day and wonderful cooking classes to choose from. But sharing it with our friends made it the best time we've had on a cruise! The stay on Moorea after the cruise made it one of our top trips of all time.
  14. Thank you, I will make contact sooner rather than later.
  15. We switched from a booked HAL cruise to an O cruise several years ago due to a comparable price and better itinerary on O (overnights at Easter Island & Bora Bora). I was very happy with our O cruise and would definitely sail with them again but I have not found a competitive price and good itinerary combination again. Classical music availability is not a consideration for us.
  16. Thanks again. I'm considering volunteering to organize for our January 2025 cruise. I haven't done that in a long time and wanted to verify the best procedures.
  17. CO is less expensive per day on longer cruises.
  18. Thanks, Jacqui! How far in advance to you contact the event coordinator?
  19. We are skipping HIA for our Adriatic cruise next year. It's a short cruise at 10 days with 2 sea days.. We have enough OBC to cover gratuities, laundry and beverages, and we don't care for ship excursion so the math doesn't make sense for us.
  20. Yes, about 20 million users per month.
