  1. Cannot comment, she was the first of the Costa makeovers….
  2. For journey cruises they were out of PC (maybe more), but mainly SJ. They are missed
  3. The acquisition of the Costa ships is fairly new (and dynamic from a timing perspective), you may be right, she would fit in nicely…..we shall see.
  4. Of the Carnival family for Alaska, two think they are the top of the heap in Alaska, Princess and HAL, both for different reasons.
  5. Not sure I see the math. There is a blip in new ones compared to the latest monstrosities of the eases, but we all know the reason for that. They are 2 short against the lead of RCCL (28), CCL has (26) and NCL (19). I do agree on the sent to salvage ships, but that again was a covid financial blip.
  6. Not sure how anyone can say they can not compete…. (I know you did not). The only possible variable that I can think of is profitability
  7. We did all if these on our Breeze journey 2019 cruise. Simply the best itinerary in the Caribbean I have ever done. 14 days from PC 11 islands….would do it again in a HEARTBEAT. Grenade was very interesting, Dominca a little less so. ST Lucia…the gem of the Caribbean. ENJOY!!
  8. Nice mix, love the itinerary on the Venezia Journey!
  9. That would be tough for most of us to SJ..😆 and you are 100% correct in their marketing plan. That said, it has always been head scratching material why they dumped the cruises out of there. I am sure that it is financial, but it is not like they are short on ships. The itinerary was strong. Never really understood the driver of multi port embarkation either. I have more than once, when given the opportunity, voiced my opinion to bring it back, even seasonably. Think of the opportunities for Journey cruises from there…..
  10. It certainly not the same, so loved the way it used to be. I am sure that covid had much to do with some of the changes. Last year on Elation it was like the old days, senior staff and significant interaction.
  11. Meh, sure it hurt. They will adjust and things will change, simply has to go that way. When that occurs, they return. Business travelers are the ones still earning oerks, the rest of us ….not so much.
  12. Yes they certainly do. They attract me like a magnet. The uniqueness is very attractive.
  13. without a doubt their primary focus is the new cruiser and the Caribbean will always be numero uno.

  15. Well, that is a thought.... I do not see the logic. I do agree people cruise "partially" stay cruising on Carnival for price, but so much more than that as well. Loyalty and perks are rarely the driver for doing that, simply a thanks for being loyal, nothing more or less. Actually, Carnival is not even the pricing leader anymore.
  16. Just read a report with someone from the Army Corp of Engineers stating pretty much the same thing. Also said two barge cranes were "on the way" and that before the Dali could be moved the sections of bridge must be cut up and removed by crane, and this must be done before the ship could be moved out and may well also require sections in the water near Dali also.
  17. and that differs from the existing offering how exactly?
