Unfortunate news on the partial charter. We are 21 days on Encore end of October. The first leg of (7 days) are sold out. I fear a partial charter. This is my first time on a ship over 500 people. Perhaps my last. Wishing you calmer days ahead. Or, grab a bottle of beer and jump in the pool....OK, maybe a bottle of PR Winston Churchill. One must maintain some sort of standard.

I've been thinking along those lines for our next sail through the Eastern Med in October. In the past I've brought back jarred condiments and the restaurant has kept them for us. Same with local fruit for the room. If I bring back oysters from an excursion will they serve them to us? Or, buy spices at a local market, will they incorporate them into some dish? I'm sure it all depends on the Chef and their procurement/kitchen rules. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the photos and report. I completely concur with your comments. I was not a fan of the Muse. The obs/library is cramped, mediocre viewing, access to outside limited, and low ceilings. The low ceilings and cramped feel in most of the restaurants was also a negative. Nothing luxury about the spaces, IMHO. However, the pizza was top notch.

The bean counters have deemed a the IT department a low priority for funding.

There is usually a briefing the night before to explain the following days excursions. You will be assigned a color group for excursion departures. Depending on the stop there may be different levels of hikes or alternative activities that the expedition team has come up with. Sometimes folks will be asked to sign up after the briefing. I've attached a pic of a briefing slide. Fyi, it's from Seabourn Venture, but it will be the same on Silversea. Although the info is usually available printed and on the app, I like having it quickly available on my phone. Primarily because I can't remember what they just told me.😃. You will have a fabulous trip!
